I'm Trapped in the Block

Mo Ling had already flown into the air, hovering in front of the little lamb.

With a thought, Mo Ling stripped away its chainsaw horns and all four of its limbs.

But to his surprise, the lamb’s healing speed accelerated yet again. A short hand immediately grew from one of the stumps.

A viscous fluid swirled within its body, and a chain shot out toward the metal Block in the sky.

But when the chain struck the Block, it was instantly repelled by the hard metal surface, failing to move it even an inch.

It was about to attack again when Mo Ling tore its head clean off. Its body immediately went still.

However, the body didn’t remain still for long. The headless torso began to move.

At first, it just twitched unconsciously, but then it began trying to dodge the arrows of the humanoid archers.

Although it failed to dodge any of them, its body now riddled with arrows, its movements grew increasingly adept.

At this point, Mo Ling dared not attack again.

’It’s adapting to its injuries!’

’Its ability to learn is too powerful.’

Mo Ling had no choice but to change his tactics, and he began stripping away random parts of the little lamb’s body.

This new attack pattern caught the little lamb completely off guard.

A long arrow came flying. Just as the little lamb was about to leap away, Mo Ling stripped away its knee. The entire lower leg dropped off, causing it to stagger and collapse.

The long arrow pierced its back, and the ensuing volley of arrows turned it into a pincushion.

Soon, however, its dense muscles contracted, squeezing the embedded arrows out of its body and letting them clatter to the ground.

It propped itself up on its hands, trying to crawl, but Mo Ling once again targeted the base of its arms, severing them at the shoulders.

But then, the flesh of its legs began to extend, completely regenerating down to its hooves. With a powerful kick, it dodged the next volley of arrows.

Mo Ling’s heart sank. ’This can’t go on.’

The nature of the Red Rope Worm meant that this little lamb could simply not be killed.

’No matter how effective my attacks are, they’re just a workout for this little lamb. I can only restrain it temporarily.’

’What’s more, the effectiveness of this restraint will continue to diminish until the little lamb evolves complete immunity.’

Fortunately, Captain Su and his team arrived at the battlefield just then.

They had seen the Block attacking the little lamb from a distance.

On the way over, Captain Su had already briefed everyone on the lamb’s abilities, but seeing its incredible healing firsthand, the soldiers were still stunned.

Before long, the little lamb’s body had healed completely once more. It kicked off its legs and leaped toward the sky, trying to attack the Block.

Seeing this, Mo Ling immediately teleported a large rock into the air, blocking its path.

The little lamb smashed headfirst into the rock and fell back to the ground, its head split open and bleeding.

But the moment it hit the ground, it was back on its feet, the wound on its head already healed.

It seemed the little lamb’s ability to heal external wounds had reached a terrifying level.

After Captain Su and his team arrived, they also employed various methods of restraint.

The soldiers threw out net-weaving capsules, which created several layers of intersecting metal nets in the air, enveloping the lamb before it had a chance to escape.

However, a black light flashed across the lamb’s body, and a pair of spinning chainsaws sprouted directly from the outside of its arms.

With a thrust of its arms, it shredded the overlapping metal nets to pieces.

One of the soldiers cursed in anger at the sight.

They switched tactics again, simultaneously throwing a dozen metal spears that impaled the ground around the lamb.

Then, a soldier pressed a button. The metal spears instantly flashed with white light as blue-white electrical currents leaped between them.

The currents grew thicker as they arced back and forth, until the intense electrical flashes formed a storm-like grid between the spears, trapping the little lamb inside.

The power to the spears intensified, and the electrical storm grew more violent. In an instant, countless bolts of electricity of varying thickness slammed into the little lamb.

A high-frequency, pulsing white light flashed. The little lamb’s blood-matted gray fur was now scorched black, and black smoke billowed from its body.

The smell of roasted mutton wafted through the air. The spears, once glowing with a brilliant white light, gradually dimmed. After a few final discharges, they returned to their original metallic appearance.

The charred object at the center of the spears toppled over, with parts of it shattering on impact, leaving only a few indistinct black fragments on the ground.

Seeing that their attack had worked, the soldiers finally let out a long sigh of relief.

"Quick! Collect the fragments!" Captain Su shouted urgently.

Snapped out of their relief, the soldiers rushed forward, preparing to bag the black chunks of flesh.

But Mo Ling, still in the air, noticed something was wrong.

The flesh within the black fragments was slowly reviving, beginning to writhe and knit itself back together.

’Danger!’

But Mo Ling couldn’t call out a warning in time. He could only lower his altitude slightly, moving to block one of the advancing soldiers.

The soldier looked at the Block in confusion.

But the other soldiers had already reached the fragments. They cautiously took out capsules that produced a gelatinous sealant and began to package the pieces one by one.

However, the largest of the black fragments suddenly began to tremble and expand within its seal.

The gelatinous seal was stretched taut. The soldier quickly took out several more capsules and added a few more layers of sealant.

The sealant began to contract, but it couldn’t keep up with the rate of expansion. The soldier finally realized something was wrong and started to back away from the fragment.

But it was too late. The edge of the black fragment suddenly tore open, and a long chain erupted, cleaving both the sealant and the soldier in front of it in two.

Then, countless chains shot out from the fragments. A sky-blotting wave of black light sliced through the area, cleanly cutting through the surrounding soldiers and plants.

Only the soldier shielded by the Block was spared.

When Mo Ling slowly moved the Block aside, the soldier saw the tragic scene before him. His confusion had long since turned into deep-seated terror.

Although he was reluctant to use his power and further enhance the lamb’s healing, Mo Ling had no choice but to intervene to cover the soldiers’ retreat.

Resisting Mo Ling’s stripping ability, the black fragment continued to expand, the growth as violent as a chemical reaction.

Gray fur burst through the charred husk. The twin chainsaw horns began to spin again. The expressionless sheep’s face slowly lifted, and its sturdy hooves once again stood upon the earth.

Horrifying, gaping wounds constantly appeared on its body, but it paid them no mind, for they healed in the blink of an eye.

Once Mo Ling gave up his attack, the others could only watch as the little lamb rapidly returned to its complete form.

As if sensing its power was still insufficient, the little lamb’s bulging muscles stretched again. Its posture straightened into a humanoid form, and its height kept increasing until, not counting its horns, it was as tall as a man. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

When the transformation was complete, this "little lamb" had taken on the appearance of a Sheep-headed Man. Aside from its head, hooves, and the wool covering its body, one could no longer tell that this was a recently born lamb.

The Sheep-headed Man stood still and raised its head. Its rectangular pupils stared at the Block in the sky. Its face was expressionless, but its gaze held a flicker of human-like curiosity.

At that moment, Mo Ling felt as if that gaze had pierced straight through the Block.

It was bone-chilling.
