I'm Trapped in the Block

Mo Ling’s heart ached even more as he thought about what might happen to the Tree Transformations without him.

’I have to find a way up.’

’If I fall to the bottom of the cave, can I return to my original world? Then I could just do the same thing to come back here, right?’

Mo Ling quickly shook off the impractical idea.

’If I really did that, there’d be nothing left of the Tree Transformation Tribe by the time I returned.’

’If only I could teleport myself.’

At this thought, inspiration suddenly struck Mo Ling.

He had only ever tried teleporting his own body, but he had never tried teleporting the entire Block!

This had always been a blind spot for him.

Realizing this, Mo Ling quickly aimed the teleportation frame at the Block itself.

As the teleportation activated, he suddenly felt the Block come to a halt.

’What happened?’

In his field of view, the Block, which had been plummeting at high speed, suddenly stopped in mid-air.

Mo Ling wasn’t harmed by the abrupt stop.

Inertia was gone.

The metal Block was fixed in the center of the Big Tree Cave as if held by something, completely motionless.

A strange sensation washed over him, and Mo Ling found that the Block now felt like a paper boat floating on the surface of the water.

It was surrounded by a calm surface, the little boat bobbing gently in the ripples.

All it needed was a gentle push.

Following Mo Ling’s thoughts, the heavy metal Block floated slowly upward like a feather.

Mo Ling’s heart was filled with uncontrollable joy.

’It worked!’

’I don’t know the principle behind it.’

’But as long as I teleport the entire Block, it enters this floating state and can move according to my will.’

Not only that, but as Mo Ling’s control deepened, the Block’s floating speed increased, and it soon reached the area where the Cave Demons were emitting their vibrations.

The Block instantly anchored itself in the air, its inertia seeming to vanish in that moment.

After completing the attack, the Block continued to accelerate upward, searching for its next target.

Like a precision hunting machine, the Block ascended, seeking out and killing all the hidden Cave Demons.

Mo Ling grew more and more proficient at controlling the Block.

Later on, the Block could deftly navigate around all sorts of obstacles and even get close to the cave walls to search for Cave Demons inside.

The Cave Demons’ vibrations were no longer effective; hidden in the cave walls, they were like lambs to the slaughter.

The freely moving Block could easily find and kill them.

Before he knew it, Mo Ling had piloted the Block back to where he had fallen from.

The scene before him made Mo Ling’s heart ache.

By now, the Tree Transformations had already suffered heavy casualties.

That Tree Warrior had long since been torn to shreds by the attacking Cave Demons.

The Tree Transformations were surrounded by Cave Demons swarming in from all directions.

The weak beings were powerless against the Cave Demons, but they continued to fight back tenaciously with various tools.

Mo Ling had assumed the Tree Transformations would completely lose their will to fight after seeing the Block fall.

But he had been wrong.

"Brothers! We’ll take the Cave Demons down with us! For every one we kill now, more of our people will be able to pass through the Big Tree Cave in the future!"

The chief roared himself hoarse.

"The Qifang Tribe may be destroyed today, but a new Qifang Tribe will rise in the future!"

"Kill!"

A round-bodied Tree Transformation charged a grotesque Cave Demon, plunging the wooden spear in its hands into the demon’s body.

The short spear had little effect on the Cave Demon, only slightly impeding its advance.

This Tree Transformation was quickly torn in two by the Cave Demon before it.

Its nearby brethren rushed over, swarming the Cave Demon and dragging the injured monster down into the depths with them.

The Tree Transformations were constantly taking the Cave Demons down with them using such tactics.

When Mo Ling was at the bottom of the cave, he had constantly seen Tree Transformations and Cave Demons falling.

He had just thought the battle was intense, never imagining it was so tragic.

But now, the Tree Transformations no longer needed to be so tragic.

The chief raised a spear and charged a Cave Demon, his face filled with a do-or-die resolve.

The spear pierced the Cave Demon’s body. The grotesque creature opened its shell-like plates, about to slice at the chief.

But the image of the chief being split in two never appeared.

Instead, it was the terrifying Cave Demon that suddenly sported countless bloody holes, freezing in place, its life extinguished.

Seeing this familiar method of attack, the chief, whose life had just been spared, quickly looked around.

When he saw the Block slowly rising from within the cave, he could no longer contain his joy.

"Praise the holy relic!"

On the brink of annihilation, the Tree Transformations all looked toward the Block with pious reverence.

At that moment, the sun had risen into the sky. A ray of sunlight grazed the edge of the Big Tree Cave and shot into the pitch-black chasm.

The slowly ascending Block happened to catch that very ray of sunlight.

The Block’s metal walls reflected a dazzling light, as if a god had descended.

The scorching sunlight shone on the grotesque Cave Demons, followed by countless invisible stripping attacks.

The Cave Demons, which the Tree Transformations had been completely unable to handle, didn’t even have time to flee under this invisible assault before they were instantly reduced to piles of shredded flesh.

The gloom that had enveloped the Tree Transformation people instantly dissipated under the sunlight.

Just moments ago, they were facing a one-sided slaughter; now, they had welcomed the dawn of victory.

The Block bathed in the light, reflecting the warm sunlight onto the disaster-worn survivors of the Tree Transformation tribe.

The Tree Transformations all dropped their weapons and knelt on the ground.

"Praise the holy relic!"

Inside the Block, Mo Ling watched the kneeling Tree Transformations and felt that they seemed even more devout than before.

But among all the Tree Transformations, it was the chief who had the most intense reaction.

His expression was one of absolute fanaticism. He prostrated himself on the ground, kowtowing repeatedly while endlessly praising the great holy relic.

Mo Ling, on the other hand, felt a little confused.

’You’re the only one who knows this is all a sham, so why are you the most excited one?’

Mo Ling maneuvered the Block in front of the chief and gently touched his forehead.

He had meant for the chief to get up, but he hadn’t expected the gesture to make the chief even more emotional.

Mo Ling decided to take no further action and instead floated toward the edge of the Big Tree Cave.

’Looks like the Cave Demons have been completely cleared out.’

After searching the area, Mo Ling flew toward the top of the Big Tree Cave.

The Tree Transformations followed the Block closely, emerging from the Big Tree Cave with Mo Ling.

Seeing the Tree Transformations trailing behind him, Mo Ling had no other choice but to lead them back to their settlement.

’They’re not going to follow me forever, are they?’

Mo Ling returned to the platform where the chief often gave speeches and landed.

He wanted to rest for a little while.

Having just gotten used to flying while simultaneously hunting Cave Demons had left Mo Ling mentally drained.

But the Tree Transformations were full of energy. After returning to their settlement, they all gathered in front of the platform, looking as if they were about to give victory speeches.

They spontaneously gathered around the Block, their eyes filled with fanatical devotion.
