BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

A series of explosions rang out from mid-air. Violent gales of Powerful Qi poured down from the sky, causing the nearby mountain peaks to tremble. Countless shattered rocks tumbled down, smashing all the buildings at the mountain’s base.

In the sky, a white dragon of Spiritual Power and a black cross of dark energy were locked in a stalemate. One white, one black, they each occupied half the sky, neither able to advance an inch!

Suddenly, the dragon of Spiritual Power let out a furious roar. The surrounding Spiritual Power began to boil like water, then converged upon the dragon. In the blink of an eye, the dragon swelled in size, instantly breaking the deadlock.

With a tremendous bang, the white dragon of Spiritual Power instantly dispersed the cross of dark energy. Its momentum undiminished, it tore through the air with a whistling gale, charging straight for the black monster.

Watching the approaching dragon of Spiritual Power, the black monster’s body shuddered. With no way to evade, it had no choice but to reach out and grab the dragon by its horns, attempting to halt its charge!

However, against the unstoppable dragon of Spiritual Power, the black monster couldn’t even last a second. It was immediately carried away and slammed into the mountain peak behind it!

The dragon of Spiritual Power carried the black monster straight into the mountain. An explosive crash echoed out as countless rocks flew into the air. The entire peak began to fracture, with some sections breaking off completely. The whole mountain actually sank several dozen meters! For a moment, dust and smoke filled the air, obscuring everyone’s vision.

"Such... such incredible Attack Power! Is this really the full-force strike of a Spirit Emperor Powerhouse?" one of the disciples mumbled, swallowing hard as he stared at the still-trembling mountain.

"What about the black monster? It couldn’t have died just like that, right?" another disciple said softly, looking at the massive, dark hole halfway up the mountain.

"It’s not that easy!" Nearby, Long Mo’s gaze sharpened. He stared gravely at the pitch-black cavern where a terrifying Energy that made his heart pound was slowly gathering. Hearing this, the others all turned their eyes toward the mountain.

Just as everyone was staring at the peak, it began to shake violently! Suddenly, with a massive BOOM, the mountain exploded from its midway point. Countless boulders scattered in all directions, like a firework display!

At that very moment, a black figure shot out from the exploding mountain and came to a stop, hovering in mid-air.

That figure was, of course, the black monster. It was in a terrible state. The black Bone Armor covering its body was completely shattered, with no intact part remaining. Black blood dripped continuously down its body. A series of gruesome, shocking wounds covered it. White Spiritual Power constantly eroded these wounds, forcing the dark energy that tried to heal them back into the monster’s body.

The black monster looked down, reached out, and touched one of the grisly wounds. It then extended its crimson tongue and licked the blood from its fingers.

As the taste of blood filled its mouth, the black monster’s aura grew increasingly cold and sinister. Wisps of black energy began to emerge from its body, forcibly expelling the white Spiritual Power from its wounds.

"Shen Haoran, I’m going to kill you!" A grim voice, as if from the depths of the Nine Netherworld, escaped the black monster’s lips.

At the same time, a savage aura erupted from within the black monster. This aura was different from before, filled with darkness and the stench of death! As it exploded outward, the surrounding Spiritual Power began to roil. The once-calm Spiritual Power was now in violent turmoil; this new aura was actually repelling it.

With its aura surging, the black monster let out a cold laugh. It then reached its right hand behind its back, as if grabbing for something...

CRACK... CRACK...

A moment later, the sound of bones cracking echoed out. Then, the crowd witnessed a sight they would never forget for the rest of their lives. In mid-air, the black monster was slowly pulling its own spine out from its back!

"Wh-wh-what... He’s pulling out his own spine! Is he trying to kill himself?" a disciple cried out in alarm.

’How is that possible!’ everyone thought, finding it utterly unbelievable.

WHOOSH... With a soft sound, the spine was completely extracted. The black monster flicked its hand, and the once-pliable spine instantly became as hard as a Sharp Sword. Black energy swirled around the dark spinal column. With a casual wave, the sharp Powerful Qi it emanated seemed capable of tearing space itself.

"Shen Haoran, you should be proud that you forced me to bring out the Demon Dragon Sword! Today, I will grind you to a pulp!" the black monster snorted. In a flash, its body vanished from the spot!

The next moment, the black monster reappeared above Shen Haoran, the Demon Dragon Sword descending as a blur as it chopped down toward him.

Seeing this, Shen Haoran’s pupils constricted. He instantly formed the Black Flame Giant Ruler and held it horizontally above his head to block!

However, against the Demon Dragon Sword, the Black Flame Giant Ruler was as fragile as paper. Upon contact, the sword shattered it with ease, and the remaining Powerful Qi cleaved down toward Shen Haoran’s head.

A delicate Black Flame Lotus instantly took shape, and he hurled it directly at the black monster!
