Chen Yanyan walked up, stepped past Lin Feng, and tidied up the bedsheets and blanket in the bedroom.

Only then did Lin Feng realize she had deliberately put on a whole new set of bedding yesterday. Now, the sheets and blanket were stained with faint traces of blood.

This was far more incriminating than the video they had filmed earlier.

He turned the switch and opened the two large doors, revealing that the interior space had more than doubled. The camera equipment left behind by the film crew was still inside.

Jiang Yun’er immediately shed her disappointment and shifted into work mode. She contacted her agency to arrange for a plane to pick her up.

She also notified the PR team to edit the video and hand it over to their military client.

Once all that was done, she contacted Qin Hu to arrange for an escort to protect her as she left the service area and headed for Jin City Airport.

"When are we leaving? Han Yuxin already has Shen Jie and the others waiting for us halfway to the front lines. They’ve been there a while."

Lin Feng nodded.

"Right. Let’s head out now. I want to train up a batch of decent Awakeners before the big battle begins."

Chen Yanyan put her phone away, buckled her seatbelt, and floored the accelerator. She pulled out of the auto shop, left the service area, and once again set off for the front lines.

They soon came across Shen Jie and his people, who were parked in the emergency lane.

Chen Yanyan slowed down and honked the horn, signaling for the three security vehicles to follow.

Thanks to Han Yuxin’s arrangements, they had undergone a major upgrade. Not only was everyone now wearing a standard-issue black uniform and carrying a rifle, but they had also been given official security patrol vehicles.

For now, fuel consumption wasn’t a major concern.

Han Yuxin had even hinted at it vaguely.

But seeing him in person now still sent a thrill of excitement through them.

Following Mr. Lin had been Shen Jie and his group’s original goal when they first came to the service area.

Now, that goal was finally within reach.

However, one final test stood between them and its true fulfillment.

It was the entire reason they had come out here today:

To kill Black Spine Zergs and achieve a Tier-Jumping Superpower Awakening.

Lin Feng looked at the eight people who had disembarked from the three vehicles. Under Shen Jie’s diligent leadership, they had all become Ninth-level Enhanced People, just a hair’s breadth away from their Awakening.

He saw them standing in a line, rifles in hand, their expressions grim.
