After speaking, Qin Hu picked up a two-meter-long, sharp, severed limb from the ground and continued toward Cheng Zhan.

Lin Feng seemed lost in thought. He turned to glance at the parasitic mother at his feet, a flicker in his eyes.

So, before Qin Hu could act, the Armor-Piercing Cannon in Lin Feng’s hands had already fired dozens of machine gun rounds...

They tore the dying parasitic mother, along with Cheng Zhan’s body, to shreds.

Its Physique Attribute was derived from its host. Human physiques are weak, with exceptionally low Defense, which was why even a Heavy Machine Gun could kill the mother entity.

Using the Level 19 Grenade Cannon or the Level 20 Armor-Piercing Cannon would have not only obliterated it but also caught Lin Feng and Qin Hu in the blast.

Seeing Lin Feng take the initiative, Qin Hu let out a long sigh of relief.

’If he had actually been swayed by that damned parasite, then they’d be in real trouble.’

Lin Feng immediately began the Upgrade, then smiled at the man beside him. Noting the black patches appearing on Qin Hu’s face, he remarked with mild interest:

"So? Its terms were pretty tempting, weren’t they?"

Qin Hu froze, not expecting those to be Lin Feng’s first words. He refused adamantly:

"That was just something it fabricated on the spot to survive!"

"And humanity will never become slaves to the Zerg Race!"

"Joining them would be the same as being castrated, having our civilization wiped from existence!"

"Even if it could, as it claimed, weave some beautiful illusion for humanity’s survivors, it would still be a lie."

Lin Feng shrugged.

"No, no, no. That’s not what I was thinking about."

"To most civilians, it’s just swapping one master for another. What’s the difference between being ruled by humans and being ruled by the Zerg Race?"

"My reason for refusing, aside from the fact that the damned parasite was obviously lying, is the Federation’s incompetence."

"Do you know what I saw in its eyes when I had my gun on it?"

As Lin Feng spoke, he walked over and used a severed limb from the ground to poke through the shredded remains of Cheng Zhan’s corpse. He then fished out two egg sacs that had somehow survived and were still wriggling.

"Arrogance. It was the same look a human gives an ant—pure disdain."

"In their eyes, a completely defeated humanity doesn’t even have the right to a seat at the negotiating table."

"What you can’t win on the battlefield, you can’t expect to gain at the negotiation table..."

"So until we defeat the Mother Empress and prove our strength, they will never negotiate. Not even if humanity ’voluntarily’ offers up all our lands, all our resources, and even ourselves."

Hearing this, Qin Hu fell silent. A flash of sorrow crossed his eyes. He knew all of this, of course.

But he quickly dispelled the gloomy feeling, his fists clenched tight. He watched as Lin Feng approached, handed him two underdeveloped Zerg Eggs, clapped him on the shoulder, and said earnestly:

"Take these. Give them to the research institute and see if they can learn anything. And remember to bring them the corpse..."

"I imagine those mad scientists will be absolutely thrilled to get their hands on one of the Zerg People."

"Tell them to figure out a screening method, and fast. Relying on Genetic Warriors to sniff them out will take until the end of time."

Qin Hu managed a faint smile. He looked down at the wriggling Zerg Eggs in his palm and asked:

"Are you leaving?"

Lin Feng glanced back at the Swarm scattering in the distance. It was unlikely another Tier Two Zerg would appear before the main battle at the second defense line, so there wasn’t much point in staying...

So he nodded.

"Yeah. The outpost is destroyed. It’s time to go."

Qin Hu quickly tried to persuade him to stay.

"I can arrange for you to have an independent fortress behind the second defense line, entirely under your command!"

Lin Feng shook his head, declining the kind offer.

"Staying behind the defense line just means passively taking hits. You’ll be attacked from the front and back. I prefer mobile warfare. More freedom."

"If humanity wants to defeat the Zerg Race, we can’t do it by hiding in our shells like cowards. There’s no hope of victory that way."

With that said, Lin Feng walked over to the three dead Tiger Spine Zergs.

He placed his hands on their remaining, solid Giant Mandibles. With a flash of Orange Light, the mandibles were enveloped and instantly vanished, absorbed into the Flying Tiger Armor he wore.

He did the same with the other two pairs of Giant Mandibles. The reserve Upgrade Points for his Lv20 Flying Tiger Armor quickly rose to 3/2, enough to initiate the next Upgrade.

’It’s a shame I can’t take the whole bodies with me. If I leave them here, the Zerg Race will just reclaim them.’

Lin Feng’s sudden appearance had been a surprise to everyone, including the Zerg Race Mother Empress.

’Instantly killing three Tiger Spine Zergs must have the Mother Empress in the Nest terrified right now. I need to get out of here before the Cyan-winged Zergs arrive to investigate, or I might trigger a new Swarm.’
