Seeing Jiang Yun’er now—curled at the foot of the bed, wrapped tightly in the blanket, her eyes filled with tears as she sobbed quietly, a pitiful picture of resentment and indignation...

Lin Feng sighed softly and slowly began to explain.

"If it weren’t for me last night, that rampaging Spiritual Power would have shattered your mind."

"Have you forgotten? Your complete Awakening went horribly wrong. If I hadn’t taken a risk to try and dissipate that Spiritual Power, you wouldn’t have lived to see the Sun today."
