Chapter 64: Chapter 64 Guess What I’m Drawing

Six people looked at each other, and no one made a move.

As the countdown neared its end, a girl wearing a Butterfly mask stood up and walked toward Phoenix.

After drawing a card, she glanced at it, and the monitor immediately zoomed in on the word card—

Pictionary

“Oh!” Phoenix exclaimed, “Pictionary, that’s an interesting game!”

He put the card back on the tray, “Now, I will announce the rules of the game:

Pictionary is a team battle, the six people present will be divided into two groups of three.

The game consists of 4 rounds, two internal team games, where one team member draws and the other two guess; and two cross-team games, where one from our team draws and the other team guesses.

Each round has a 30-second drawing time, and if the artist does not draw within the allotted time, the artist will be eliminated.

If the drawing is completed within the allotted time, the guessers have 10 seconds to guess.

The fewer the seconds used to guess correctly, the higher the points awarded; at the end of the four rounds, the team with the higher points wins and the team with the lower points is eliminated.

Distinguished guests, are there any questions regarding the game rules?”

Inside the conference room, the gazes of five people fell simultaneously on a man wearing a Clown mask.

The man’s right hand was weakly placed on his leg, appallingly wounded by a gunshot that had gone through his wrist; this hand was clearly disabled.

The man with an Alpaca mask raised his hand, “Can we freely choose our teammates?”

Phoenix shook his head, “Teammates are determined by drawing lots; you cannot choose on your own.”

The Alpaca sighed, “Alright then.”

Phoenix looked around at the others, and seeing no further questions, he snapped his fingers.

Outside the door, a waiter handed in a tray, another brought in a whiteboard.

Phoenix placed the tray in the center of the conference table and made a gesture of invitation, “Guests, please draw your lots.”

The Alpaca was the first to reach out, picking a card from the center of the tray that read “A.”

Seeing someone make a move, everyone else gradually reached out their hands.

Once everyone had drawn their lots, they placed the lots they had drawn on the table.

Alpaca: “A”

Butterfly: “A”

Rooster: “B”

Whale: “B”

Penguin: “B”

Clown: “A”

Seeing that the Clown had drawn the same card as himself, the Alpaca instantly burst into an exasperated curse, “Damn!”

Butterfly was more composed, “No worries, Brother Chou just needs to guess.”

The Clown remained silent, and the Alpaca snorted coldly without saying anything.

Butterfly glanced at the whiteboard indifferently, squinting slightly, seemingly contemplative.

Thinking that disaster would strike upon them once the game in conference room number 3 ended, everyone started to feel restless.

Green Snake twisted her body irritably, looking at Monkey beside her, she whispered, “Are we just going to sit here doing nothing?”

Butterfly and Clown looked at Phoenix in shock, utterly clueless as to why such an incident had suddenly occurred.

Phoenix shrugged his shoulders with a reluctant tone, “The phrase for this round was ‘One Hand Covering the Sky.’ Alpaca broke the rules by writing down the phrase directly; as a penalty, he was eliminated from the game. This round, Team A scores zero points.”

The game had just started, and Team A was already down one member, plus they had scored no points; the situation instantly became irredeemable.

The eyes of Team B’s trio were already filled with the smugness of assured victory.

Butterfly, who had just been calm and composed, now had a dark, fierce look in her eyes that even the mask couldn’t hide.

Her resentful gaze swept over everyone present, including Clown.

Phoenix disregarded her look, “Second round, an internal team game for Team B. Please choose a drawer by flipping your hands.”

The three stood up, positioning their hands behind them, “1, 2, 3!”

As the words fell, all three stretched out their hands, Penguin palm-down, Whale and Rooster palm-up.

Penguin stepped forward to receive the word card from Phoenix.

After a glance at the word card, he returned it and stepped up to the whiteboard to begin drawing.

He started by drawing a well, then a person inside the well, and another person outside it.

Ji Wanwan had already guessed the word at this point.

The 30 seconds were quickly up, and before Phoenix could speak, Whale impatiently shouted the answer, “throwing stones into the well!!”

“Wow!” Phoenix exaggeratedly marveled, “So smart, correct answer, Team B scores 10 points!”

As soon as he spoke, an uproar erupted among the audience on level -3; everyone had anticipated the outcome of the game.

The three members of Team B simultaneously burst into excited cheers.

Happiness and sorrow are not shared equally, and in this moment, Butterfly’s eyes were bloodshot with hatred and fear.

The game continued.

Phoenix raised his hand to erase the drawing from the whiteboard, “Third round, an opposing team game. Two members of Team A decide the drawer by playing rock-paper-scissors, while Team B will guess based on Team A’s drawing.”

Clown calmly stood up, placing his intact left hand behind him.

Butterfly’s eyes were downcast, her demeanor one of complete despair, unwilling to struggle.

“3, 2, 1!”

Both stretched out their hands at the same time, Clown rock, Butterfly scissors, Clown wins!

This was a problem now for Team B.

Whale immediately cried out, “Clown’s hand is already crippled, he can’t draw at all, this is clearly a trap for us!”

Penguin chimed in, “Exactly! There was no need for rock-paper-scissors, just let Butterfly draw!”

Before Phoenix could speak, the wall-mounted guns pointed at the two.

Both of them instantly wilted, shrinking their necks weakly, ceasing their protests.

Butterfly scoffed coldly in mockery.

Phoenix spoke mercilessly, “The rules are as they are, whether Clown is injured or not, he is the one to draw this round.”

Whale and Penguin remained silent.

Before the result of the rock-paper-scissors, they hadn’t expected Clown to win!

Although Team A was already at a disadvantage, they would definitely take a chance on something favorable to them!
