The driver, unaware, assumed the man was having some sort of sudden illness.

He glanced around and saw that most people were scurrying with their heads down, but the young girl on the sidewalk was watching him.

The driver felt an odd sense of foreboding but didn't think too much of it.

He called out to Ji Wanwan, "Hey! Can you help me? Help me get him in the car, and I'll take him to the hospital!"

Ji Wanwan shook her head sympathetically and said in a soft voice, "It's too late..."

"What?"

The car owner saw Ji Wanwan's mouth move, but he didn't hear what she said.

The next second, a low growl came to his ears.

The person who had been convulsing on the ground suddenly flipped over in a strange posture and bit him in the face.

"Ahhh!!!"

A scream, heartrending and lung-rending, tore off half of the car owner's face, a sight so horrifying that it made one's scalp tingle.

Before the car owner had a chance to fight back, the fully mutated zombie had him pinned down and bit him over and over...

The man cursed as he stared at the taillights of the car.

By the side of the road, a middle-aged woman held an unconscious girl in her arms and looked over anxiously, "This person won't help either?"

The man kept swearing and prepared to continue stopping cars.

He was utterly unaware that his unconscious daughter by the roadside had suddenly opened her eyes.
