The other two tried to jump back, but one was still connected to his tehter, which Faust willed to retract while yanking towards himself hard.

Then Faust grinned. "Get over here!" He joked, laughing before he was even done.

The jackal shot at him like a bullet before being impaled on Faust’s spear. The monster cried and yelped in pain, still alive.

Blood splattered over him. Faust’s eyes widened in realisation.

Oh, right Blood Regeneration!

Faust placed a hand against the dying Jackal and drained Attributes, then he opened his mouth and willed Nrivan’s second ability to activate.

Previously he didn’t have fangs or blood red eyes like Nirvana. But now he felt his teeth sharpened and extended. His vision turned red and he could see the arteries pulsing on the jackals body.

Faust’s teeth sank into flesh easily and blood filled his mouth.

Eugh... it’s.... Why isn’t this disgusting?

The blood tasted like offbrand coke, which was somehow worse for Faust than tasting like real blood. It was just weird as fuck. He didn’t swallow the blood either, all of it was greedily sucked up by his fangs.

The last Bronze Jackal standing barked and circled him in confusion. What kind of monster had it just encountered? The confusion made the beast weary to approach.

The jackal in his hands died ending his stream of Attributes regrettable. This Schema was for people that never let go, never let anything die. It made him wonder slightly how deranged Nirvana had to be.

He continued to drain blood till he felt something inside himself grow full and unable to absorb more blood. He dropped the jackal abruptly and cleaned the blood from his mouth, sighing,

"Draining blood and attributes at once increases how much I can take of both, but it kills the target pretty quickly too."

The final jackal was trembling now, horror filled its animal gaze, and it barked mostly to try and warn Faust not to come closer.

But that was a challenge. And it only made him more eager to get closer.

Faust surged forward. The Jackal flinched, but its instincts chose fight over flight in that moment, lunging at Faust with open jaws.

His heightened Agility allowed him to actually follow the attack better this time, so he dodged the jaw and extended a hand with a smile.

"My cooldown ended."

A spray of acid turned the Bronze Jackal into a quivering bag of flesh that could only whimper on the ground.

Skidding to a stop, Faust rolled his shoulder and walked into the acidic mist to pull the Jackal out. He dragged it towards the first Jackal that he hit with an Acid shot; the poor beast had crawled out of the mist and was now just struggling to breathe on the floor.

Faust felt a bit bad for them. He loved dogs. But so was the way of this strange game.

He placed the two burnt Jackals side by side and placed a hand on their bodies, draining their Attributes silently.

One of the Jackals died suddenly, cutting off his flow of attributes. The system chimed, but Faust ignored it. Focusing on the living Jackal. Taking Attributes left something weaker and easier to kill.

Faust’s realism example made even more sense now. The jackal was already dying, draining it realness just made it die faster.

His combat power was now two hundred, four times as high as five hours ago when he entered the Origin Trials. Half of it was Constitution, but his Agility was getting up there now.

Faust signed. "Thank you for the contribution."

He immediately willed the system to show him the log of his rewards.

Faust through the essence into his mouth without much thought. Now this was what he meant when he said he wanted to diversify the pills he was eating everyday.

His agility was still nowhere close to catching up to his Constitution, but he was only planning on hunting at least twenty Jackals before he moved on.

There would be hidden rewards deeper in this place and maybe even special challenges for people that first pushed into the more dangerous areas.

His hunger to face the other players was growing, but this had to come first.

He also had a decent method for dealing with Jackals now, controlling their superior agility and numbers with his Acid Shot.

Thankfully his clothes weren’t being burnt by the acid yet. His Constitution was far greater than the Jackals and it extended to his equipped clothes.

I wonder if this means girls can fight in bikinis and literally silk like ZZZ and survive black holes getting thrown at them, as long as their constitution is high enough...

Putting his weird thoughts aside, Faust started moving quickly. He needed to find new enemies now.

So he roamed the field like a reaper, decimating weaker groups of Jackals in seconds.

Using Slime Tether, Acid Shot and his growing agility, he managed to disable many Jackals so he could take their Attributes.

But he misjudged the nature of the Jackals assome of them started running away, and others were hungry enough to eat their own fallen comrades.

Faust’s eyes widened as a Jackal tore into a fallen ally, ignoring the acid to feast.

"Kill stealer," Faust growled, rushing in and beheading the Jackal out of annoyance.

It took almost two hours, but he killed his twenty Jackals and absorbed some Attributes.
