100\% Drop Rate: My Special Ability is Perfect Replication

It was a night for the damned. The sky broke with the call of thunder as lightning flashed through the dense clouds, and rain poured in one heavy rush over them.

Faust stood listlessly watching the gate as the Players formed into the groups they had been fighting in all this time. No one had to tell them where to go or who to work with. They even made decisions on where they would be more effective.

Green phosphorus light flashed in the darkness in front of him as Nirvana drew another skeleton from the ground. Once it was fully formed, she dismissed it to be quickly summoned when she was inside the gate.

She was paler in the dark, rainy night. The cold wind snapped at her jacket.

Unlike the start of other waves, she didn’t look anxious, just worried about something distant.

Zen checked his bow compulsively for the third time. He looked completely calm and careless, but Faust could tell that something was bothering him.

They were all not like themselves.

Including Faust.

Fear of not being sure of what to do snapped at his heels, but he welcomed it. He would always be scared before the fight started, but during the fight, he would find a way to win it all.

And then he would remember that he was still Faust.

He raised his head and let the cold rain wash off the soot on his face, releasing some of that stress, and smiled. "Thalia, where’s Diego?"

Marching through the muddy, water-logged fields, they found the older player in a circle surrounded by some of the best Novice Village #1 had to offer. Even Jason was here, listening intently.

Diego’s salt-and-pepper hair was plastered to his face. The silver scar along his jaw shined in the shadows over his face. He spoke slowly and calmly, not raising his voice thanks to his Schema.

Once they could see Old Dog, they could hear him.

"We’re smashing through everything, straight to the gate. Our strongest casters will clear a way, and we’ll go in and complete this hidden quest or close the Gate generators."

"Can the guy that almost killed us with that supercannon in the southern safe zone open a path?" one player asked.

"Yeah! Straight up jumping into a gate sounds like a bad idea."

"How are we sure any of us can beat the hidden quest? The person the memories are centered around should be a lot more powerful. Maybe she’s even above Bronze rank."

Someone spoke from Jason’s camp, their voice haughty and dismissive. "Don’t be foolish. The system wouldn’t give us an impossible mission. She will be limited in level and combat power like the Patrons. Besides, even if any of you are too weak, we are strong enough."

The guy that spoke was tall and lean, with hair so pale blonde it seemed white. His features seemed sort of Nordic to Faust. And the look of disdain on his face suffocated any dissent from the person he insulted.

"Relax, Mr. Flawless," Jason said, although he had an amused look on his face. "We’re all working together, sharing our insights from the memory trials with each other. Right, Faust?" He turned and looked straight at the red-haired boy on the edges of the crowd.

Many people began to mutter as they heard his name and saw the hair.

"Red God?"

"You never see that guy around."

"Did you see his recap? He has so many different skills. I heard he doesn’t even have a Schema, so how did he get that many?"

"I know someone with a Proficiency System that helps him get skills, so maybe he has a System."

"Why isn’t he sharing the knowledge he got from the memories?"

"You didn’t hear what the recap revealed about him? He’s a greedy beast. He probably doesn’t care how many die if he gets to fight Vi himself."

Diego turned to Faust with a worried look. "Where have you been? How many memories did you get? You should have had the most knight kills."

"A good few," Faust said calmly. He glanced at the gate, which made everyone turn, signaling that there was no time to discuss this.

Thankfully, Flawless supported that. "We don’t need him. We pass through the hidden tunnels from my Memory, we can get to Vi easily."

"You have a way?" Thalia asked. "Because the castle is littered with traps."

He turned to her, his eyes flashing with disgust first, then again with a hidden light as he used Appraisal. His expression grew even more repulsed; he didn’t even answer her.

’Flawless? That’s the new tenth place. He seems impressive physically, but can he keep up in a fight?’

’Appraise.’

His temporary copy of Greg’s Schema and Scorched Earth had ended. He turned between Flawless and Gamebreaker and smiled.

Faust ignored his desire to test the newest member of Jason’s team. But he didn’t trust whatever plan the boy had. He was more willing to spend his time using the advantages he got from his own Memories.

"Let’s not waste time then," Diego said as the gate began to glow brighter. "Gamebreaker, you are still up to take the lead and break the enemy charge."

Many people turned to the dark-haired boy with admiring looks. Jason seemed pleased with Diego for the acknowledgment.

"The Iron Legion will break anything in our path," he said confidently.

His followers all roared in approval, using the opportunity to signal their membership in the popular group by raising their arms or weapons, rain splashing from their soaked bodies.

Faust blinked in surprise. Their shoulder armor, swords, or shields had been marked with Jason’s Schema sigil.

’They’re essentially giving him the right to disarm them at any time.’
