100\% Drop Rate: My Special Ability is Perfect Replication

Faust was using Shadow Step just as the projectile shattered the world around him. He was hidden hundreds of metres away, watching the road of destruction left by the attack.

He grimaced and clutched his side. Even as a shadow something about Fix’s attack hurt him. Pulling up his shirt, he found a trial of blood and a healing cut against his ribs.

Specialisation. There were two quotes Faust thought about when he considered specializing.

A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.

Fix was a pure specialist. He stayed in one place and shot down everything that dared show itself. His attacks would obviously have a way of affecting non-corporeal or metaphysical enemies.

The Iron sphere rotated around looking for any signs of Faust then continued to float towards one of the six golden pillars of light.

Fix doesn’t have a way of locating enemies.

"He probably left behind any location based skills to focus on destruction," a voice hummed beside him.

Dash!

He used Acid Shot as he retreated. The tentacle woman had appeared right beside him. This wasn’t even speed because he had been watching her out the side of his eyes.

She was still floating lazily in the sky hundred of meters away. But at the same time she was standing on the street beside him.

She didn’t even dodge the acid. She simply walked through it.

They were in a small street between the blacksmith district and market. Up close, he realised the alien woman was rather beautiful. Her pinkish-red skin was smooth and pocked with darker splotches

Her tentacle feet shuffled over the stone loudly. Her silver and white dress flowed freely around her.

Nirvana came back quietly, waiting until she was close enough to transform back. What a beautiful, smart young woman. Faust shot forward with his second dash to force the alien woman into Nirvana’s attack.

This time she dodged. Or whatever you could call what she just did. At first Faust thought she stepped left, but it would be more apt to say everything in the world was moved right.

His stomach turned. Nirvana’s sword cut air, but he caught her before she crashed into the ground.

A yellow light blinked when the world was moved. It was brief and barely noticeable. But a few metres left of the alien woman, who raised her tentacles.

"Um, can we have a peaceful talk?" She looked between Faust and Nirvana nervously. Her eyes were a luxurious pink color. "I have no offensive skills, so this would just be a lot of running around."

Faust and Nirvana shared a look. They didn’t make any outward moves yet but Faust scanned the woman’s Schema.

This Alien lady had something amazing. Would it suit his current line up better than whatever schemas Fix and that Robo spider guy would have?

That sounded very confusing to Faust. But he remembered that brief yellow flash. Was that a signal of the position she had to take? Also when she moved the entire world right, was her arrangement for everything to move right?

He moved on to the next ability

The description suddenly cut off. The text just ended. Suddenly the alien woman was tutting.

"I underestimated you a little. Didn’t expect anyone to have the ability to reach into souls here."

Faust raised an eyebrow. "Reach into souls. My apologies, I didn’t know that’s what I was doing."

Appraise.

Crap, she’s strong. But my combat power is still a bit higher than hers.

"You’re a careful one," the alien woman said. "You even half-closed your eyes to hide the flash of Appraise. You can call me Kye if the name the system displays is too hard to pronounce. You human seeds have limited sounds."

That Pre-planned ability is good.

"I combine it with two other skills," Kye shrugged. Her tentacle hands flopped and squirmed like they each had a mind of their own. "Most Schemas are strongest when combined with the right skills. Like Nirvana’s Life Drain with Attribute Drain. Or Blood Regeneration with any regeneration skill."

"Hey!" Nirvana called out with an annoyed glare. "Leave me out of your weirdo psychic thing."

Kye looked genuinely hurt. "I haven’t said anything personal. Like how you want to be in Faust’s arms again. I was being cordial...."

"OKAY." Faust said loudly, walking between the two girls. "Who the hell are you? What the hell is happening?"

Kye puffed her cheeks and sighed. "I am a Liaison from the Communications division of the Hierophyt Company. I’m here to offer you an interview with one of our premier talk shows, following your system’s regulations."

The confused look on Faust’s face made Kye realise that she had to add a bit more.

"All Patrons are here to fight. Negan will probably help you with the fourth wave if you interest him. Fix is just here to destroy you all though. He hates humans."

In the distance, Faust could also see the glow of the fourth wave’s gate. Like a purple, gold and gold sun rising on the horizon.

"I’m going to need a bit more info," Faust said with a smile.
