[VRMMO] Dead One

The two men stood against each other.

Non dared to make a move.

On one hand, Mug now knew how deadly and tough Wretch has become. He knew if he were to make the battle last for far too long, the stronger Wretch will become because of his advance berserker build.

On the other hand, Wretch knew that Mug was probably far stronger than him. He knew that if he didn’t played it smart, he will get up instantly destroyed on the spot.

Both men knew about their weak points and strong points, which their opponent also knew about.

And both men were also waiting for their opponent to make specific move, which would give them opening.

If Wretch were to try to summon monsters – Mug would strike.

If Mug were to try start healing himself using his skills – Wretch would strike.

Both men needed a correct course of action or they would start off the exchange with a heavy punishment.

But they also knew that the longer this stands off would last, the more remaining time of their buffs will slip away.

Not only that, both men possess strong regenerative ability, which allowed them to somewhat quickly recover bits of their HP.

Wretches’ regeneration speed was much better compare to the Mug.... However, it wasn’t bad enough to be looked down upon. Not only that, Wretch knew that Mug is already hard to kill bastard.

The first one to make move was...

BOTH.

Mug launched his fishing hook at the orc, while he himself charged forward.

While Wretch ran at the man and firing off the [Demon Rising], firing off a rain of magic-based attack in from of rain of arrows.

(Magic?!) – thought Mug who was caught off guard by Wretche’s approach.

(NO! IT’S DISTRACTION!) – thought Mug as he did not dared to look away from Wretch while his hook was about to reach the orc.

"[Arch Demon Roar]!" – and right as the hook was about to touch the orc, Wretch unleashed a powerful eruption of the demonic energy from his body, straight up blowing himself up and knocking away the fishing hook with the sheer shockwave alone.

"!?"

(WAIT! NOW HE THREW AWAY ULTIMATE?!) – thought once again confused Mug who could not understand Wretche’s tactic.

However, right through the cloud of the demonic energy that was left behind by the explosion, a lone axe was throw directly at Mug’s direction, alarming Atlantan who quickly understood what was going on.

Instead of countering or trying to knock the weapon away, Mug simply dodged to the side, causing the axe to go flying past him and continue flying for a long distance.

(That one isn’t teleportation! It is distraction!) – thought Mug as he then saw giant orc, covered in the [Death Embrace Love], a blueish green flames of death that rotten away anything they had touched.

"!"

Mug instantly backed away, dodging the giant axe attack and not letting it touch him, nor letting flames get anywhere near him.

(It is that thing again!) – thought Mug as he was retracting his fishhook.

(That guy. Evil Banana.)

(He had both light paladin builds and death knight build.)

(If I’m not mistaken, this is some sort of death knight ultimate skill, yeah?)

(It applies the {Rot} debuff upon contact.)

(Nasty stuff!) – thought Mug as he used [Sea Trident: Shark Bite], which extended his trident and manifested a shark like fangs that bit into the orc’s body, stopping him in tracks... But not for long as Wretch strength and rotting flames were more than enough to get rid of the trapping jaws.

"[Fishing Hunt: Swordfish]!" - however, as Wretch continued charging at the atlantian, a fishing hook manifested a swordfish, which flew direct at the orc from his side.

"WON’T WORK!" – shouted Wretch as he used his demonic axe to smash the fish construct, destroying Mug’s skill.

However, the first was distraction.

Mug quickly stepped forward with [Spear Art: Step Thrust] and [Spear Art: True Thrust], firing off not only movement skill but also an ultimate skill.

Wretch tried defending himself with his free arm, but the attack was way too fast for him to react as the trident stabbed him right through his chest.

But right in the next moment, Wretch free hand grabbed Mug’s arm which held the trident.

"[Demonic Blade: Loyal Servant]!"

Wretch activated his skill, causing his axe which was thrown away to suddenly get up on its own, before then launching itself with the demonic energy towards Wretch, while orc himself swung held in his hand to strike the atlantian.

"!"

"[Mad Sea: Kraken Scream]!" – Mug instantly activated his skill, which unleashed a similar form of explosions to Wretche’s [Arch Demon Roar], firing off an explosion of water that knocked back Wretch and the axe, somewhat saving the man from the pincer attack.

"BASTARD!" – shouted Wretch as he swung his demonic covered axe, causing another eruption of energy to occur.... However, just in time Mug was able to make some distance, dodging the attack.

(Dammit. I guess it wasn’t deep enough to reach his heart, eh?) – thought Mug as he saw Wretch picking up his axe up.

(Still, he definitely took some critical damage.)

([Mad Sea: Kraken Scream] isn’t about knockback, it is about damage.)

(It does have a side effect of damaging the user as well, but still, it does somewhat huge amount of damage.)

(Not only that, he also got hit with [Spear Art: True Thrust].)

(Next hit will definitely kill him.)

(But then comes his resurrection.)

(I’m somewhat able to resist the effect thanks to my passive, so I’m not getting afflicted with a huge amount of that bullshit.)

"[Water Jet Blade]!" – Mug decided to attack from afar, firing off a long range contracted blast of water in the direction of the orc, who tried defending himself with the demonic barrier.

However, Mug wasn’t done yet as he continues firing water based magic attacks from afar, ranging from blades to sphere and fish like constructs.

(Shit! He is trying to finish me off from afar?!) – thought Wretch as he was forced to unleash his barrier skills left and right in order to survive the countless barrages of hits.

Wretch tried moving forward, but he couldn’t.

The pure amount of shots which was fired by Mug was more than enough to keep the orc at the bay.

Not only that, there was a massive problem.

Wretche’s specialty isn’t magic, so his spell type skills are obviously at their weaker end.

While Mug was a magic knight user and he had more than enough MP to fire off his attacks nonstop.

(Shit! Should I use the [Madness Charge]?!) – thought panicking Wretch.

(But if I die while using it, wouldn’t skill stop working?!)

(FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!)

(He stopped?!) – thought Wretch as he instantly began charging towards Mug when the hail of projectiles stopped coming his way.

(NO WAIT! HE DIDN’T STOPPED!)

"[Mad Sea: True Tide]!" – Mug finished chanting his skill spell.... And right in the next moment, a massive burst of water manifest all around the atlantian, rising and rising with each passing second and combining.... As a massive shadow covered up entire area, including the gigantic orc’s whole body.

"Why?" – asked Wretch as he saw giant wave of water like non other, he saw before, a one so massive that it made all the other tsunamis looks like a child player.

The giant mass of water dropped down on the orc and just straight up destroyed everything, as if a massive explosions occurred that bulldozered the already heavily destroyed area further.

The entire space where the wave came crushing down straight up sunk down, as if it was compressed by a machine.

"..."

"I know you are still alive there mate!" – shouted Mug as he approached the cliff he made and stared down, watching as the giant orc started getting up.

"Fuck....Don’t you.... What in the actual fuck dude?" – asked Wretch soaked on the sea water.

"Why the fuck you didn’t fired off that thing early if you had it?!"

"Meh." – replied Mug.

(Fuck me! He knew! He freaking knew I was planning on going suicidal on him just now!)

([The Undying Warrior Spirit] activated upon my death and I was bit alive after receiving a lethal damage... But that fucking wave just wouldn’t let me get close to him and that bloody thing only lasts few seconds!)

"Yeb.... I can’t win this one." – said Wretch out loud.

"No matter how I try to win this, I will lose."

"Oh? So, you are surrendering?" – asked surprised Mug who did not expected Mug to admit his defeat.

"Nah. I ain’t going to." – said Wretch with a giant grim on his face, which instantly put Mug on the high alert.

"Not hard feelings! But I’m going to keep fighting!"

"I have name to uphold!"

"SO DON’T FUCKING MIND IF I CHOP OFF A LIMB OR TWO! BUDDY!"
