[VRMMO] Dead One

[Bandit Gorilla – Level 210]

A gorilla monsters equipped with different type of weapons ranging from spear, axes, maces and swords were surrounding the members against the Purple Hyena guild members.

"So why did we went so deep into their territory from get go?" – asked Rampage.

"Because it will be the most effective way of fighting as many of them as possible." – said GreyHunt.

"What are you? Scared?"

"Of course not. Instead, this is perfect since they will just came straight to us." – replied Rampage.

"Well then, kill them all." – said ClownFrog.

An all-out battle between the Purple Hyena guild and the bandit gorillas began.

"Come!"

While Rampage was looking at the enemies in front of her, the weapon wielding gorillas that were hanging on the tall trees had jumped off the trees and flew straight down at the Rampage.

Rampaged instantly noticed the enemy above her and raised her shield and took the monsters attacks head on.

"?!"

(Huh, I wasn’t expecting that, but these guys some strength?) – though Rampage.

"But not enough!"

Rampage pushed away all the gorillas with her brute force, sending them back into the air and as soon as they got sent flying, a ball of fire flew straight at them and exploded.

"Nice assist Oron!" – said Rampage.

"?"

The three gorillas that got hit by the fire attack, somehow manage to survive Oron attack.

"Huh. Look at these guys. They somehow survived that." – said Rampage.

"Well, we should have expected that from the monsters above level 200." – said ClownFrog.

"[Bone Trap]."

Suddenly underneath the gorillas’ monsters, a magic circle appeared before moments later several spears made out of the bones were launched from underneath, piercing and killing them.

[Place a trap that automatically activates when somebody gets on top of it. Deals necrotic magic damage. At level 5 and 10, the number of the traps you can put increases by 1. If you travel too far from your trap, the trap will automatically disappear.]

After ClownFrog dealt with the wounded gorilla monsters, one of the gorilla monsters saw an opening on the ClownFrog back and tried launching attack against him, but as soon it tried getting closer, it suddenly got decapitated.

"Oh. How is it going? With the sword?" – asked ClownFrog.

"Pretty good. I still have to polish my sword wielding skills, but I can definitely say that I can handle monsters like this with just using sword alone." – replied GreyHunt.

While GreyHunt was chatting with the ClownFrog, another two gorillas monster tried doing sneak attack and this time they targeted him.

"[Step Strike]."

GreyHunt easily dodged the launched by the gorilla monsters and counter attacked by stabbing one of the gorillas through their neck with his sword before then turning instantly towards the second gorilla and shooting it at point blank range right in the head with his revolver, killing it and then cutting off the head of the gorilla that had its neck pierced by the sword.

"Huh. That was bit badass." – said ClownFrog.

Suddenly, the skeleton servants under ClownFrog control were send flying into the air.

"Oh, that was quite fast. Our target decided to show up so early on."

[Bandit Lord Gorilla – Level 210] [Field Boss]

The giant gorilla monster carrying two giant axes had joined the fight, leading the bandit gorilla reinforcement that also joined the fight.

"Well, we at least don’t have to look for him anymore."

"O-oh! Can I get him?" – asked Blueberry.

"I mean, sure? I don’t see anything- "

"Okay!"

Before ClownFrog could finish his sentence, Blueberry shot with her grenade launcher at the gorilla boss, blowing him and gorillas around him up.

"..."

ClownFrog looked at the Blueberry and saw her excited expression.

"Did by any chance you just wanted to blew things up?" – asked ClownFrog with straight face.

"N-no!"

".... I think?" – said Blueberry while looking away from ClownFrog.

"..."

(Jezus. Is it safe to have her on our team?) – though ClownFrog.

The explosion did took out multiple gorillas’ monsters, but the boss monster manage to survive the attack.

"!"

"It lived?!" – said shocked Blueberry.

"Well, this is a boss monster we are talking about, so obviously it will take a hit or two without a problem." – said ClownFrog.

"[Necro Shot – Barrage Aim]."

ClownFrog fired a 3 necro shot straight at the boss monster, but the monster saw the attack coming and tried dodging the attack by going right, but the necro shots suddenly slightly changed their directions and hit the boss monster that tried dodging the attack.

"!?"

[Increase the damage scaling of the skill [Necro Shot] up to bonus 15% at skill level 10.]

"Even though it has tracking, necro shots damage still sucks, but how well."

Even though the boss monster was hit with the necro shots, it didn’t suffer that much damage and instantly began charging straight again at Blueberry and ClownFrog, however as soon as it tried getting closer, the ground underneath the boss monster crumble and the bite ant princess emergent and bit into the gorilla monster.

"Ami! [Crushing Bite]!"

[Dig And Trap]

[Hide underground and lose ability to move.]

[As soon as the enemy gets on top of you, launch a powerful attack at them.]

Shri bite ant princess that was laying in wait suddenly emergent right underneath the gorilla monster and catched the boss monster in her jaws.

"Do you want to deal with him?" – asked ClownFrog.

"Of course. It will be over in no time. Just deal with the small flies." – replied Shri before rushing straight at the boss monster.

"..."

"Will she really be alright?" – asked Blueberry.

"Of course. If you like, you can watch her fight and you will understand." – said ClownFrog.

"I know that you and Rampage are quite strong, but so are we."

Shri with her serpent wolf as well as the dark night owl were rushing straight towards the boss monster.

"Amini! [Dark Element Enchantment] on me!" – said Shri.

[Tamed monster Amini had used [Dark Element Infusion] on you.]

[Your basic attacks will deal bonus damage as dark magic damage.]

Shri launched her whip straight towards the boss monster, but did not attacked the gorilla but instead made the tip of her whip being directly above the boss monster.

"[Whip Smash]!"

Shri bringed down her whip from above straight at the boss monster, hitting the gorilla right on top of its head and creating a powerful impact as if a hammer hit the monster instead of a whip.

"!"

"Gi...GIIIHH!"

The boss monster suddenly began moving away giant ant princess jaws that trapped it before then pushing they away completely and then throwing the giant ant monster away with brute strength.

After throwing away the ant monster, the leader of the bandits gorilla eyes began glowing red and his two also began glowing red.

"Oh? So, you are the type of monster that gets much stronger if its low on health." – said Shri.

"Well then, don’t disappoint me, mister monkey."

The gorilla monster rushed straight at the Shri while she just stood in the place.

While Shri was doing nothing, the gorilla monster finally got close enough to the Shri.

Gorilla raised on of its axe up in order to launch an attack, but as soon as it did that, the ground beneath the monster broke again and two bite ant capitans emergent and bit into the gorilla legs. Locking it movements.

The boss monster got very annoyed because of that and tried attacking the two ants with the glowing axes, but-

"Hi." – said Shri after getting quite close to the gorilla monster without it noticing it.

"[Whip Cage]."

Shri whip began flying and launching attacks all around Shri at close range and the gorilla boss that was close to her ended up being hit over and over by the random whip attacks.

The boss monster once again changed its target and again aimed at the Shri and instantly launched the attack, but as soon as the attack got close to her, the axe was repelled.

"Hey buddy. This skill main purpose is a defense."

[Whip Cage] [Active] [Expert Whip User class skill]

[Launch a series of the attacks all around you in very short range that will act as the barrier that will block any kind of attacks. Anything that gets withing the whip cage range will end up being hit by the random whip attack. You cannot move while the skill is active and you continuously lose SP while using the skill. Each time you are attacked, you will specific amount of SP depending on the blocked attack. If you are hit with too strong attack that will make impossible for the whip cage to block, the skill will be forcefully deactivated.]

Shri whip attacks continue hitting the boss monster over and over while the ants held in place the gorilla. The boss monster tried attacking Shri several more time but each time it tried attacking with its axes, the attack ended up being bounced off.

However suddenly the gorilla monster raised one of its axe up once again before moment later the axe began emitting even stronger glow.

Shri who instantly noticed that had instantly backed away before the axe hit the spot where she stood in before. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"Phew. I would definitely not be able to block that with whip cage" – said Shri after noticing a large mark left by the gorilla attack.

"Well, you are still dead though."

"?!"

Before the monster realized the bite ant princess attacked the boss monster from behind and trapping it in its jaws once again and not only that, but out of nowhere the Shri serpent wolf appeared and launched its fangs straight to the monster and sinking its fangs deep into the gorilla neck, poisoning the gorilla in the process as well.

The boss monster tried shaking off the bite ant princess again as well as the other monsters, but while it was trying to do that, a serios of nonstop attacks with whip skills being used left and right.

The boss monster HP was dropping non stop at rapid rate and before long, the boss monster lifeless body fallen on the ground.

"Uff. Hey! I got the boss!" – shouted Shri.

"Good! We also have dealt with all remaining monsters." – replied Oron.

"..."

"Wow." – said Blueberry while getting closer to the Shri.

"Hm?"

"You were so cool! The way you used the whip! And how you perfectly coordinated the attacks with your monsters! How did you do it?!" – asked excited Blueberry.

"Practice and skills." – replied Shri with smug look.

"Blueberry, please don’t ask her that kind of questions. You will only boost her ego." – said GreyHunt.

"Oi! You! Fuck off!" – said Shri while flipping off GreyHunt with middle finger.

"Okay, calm down everybody. Loot everything and come to me. We have to begin discussing things right away." – said ClownFrog after clapping with his hands.

Few moments later.

"Okay. Now it’s a good time to begin the discussion." – said ClownFrog.

"First thing first. After fighting those level 210 monsters, can you tell how much you struggle while fighting them?"

"Hm... If I’m being honest, they were bit annoying. Before things like fireball or fire arrow was able to one monsters, but now I need to hit them about 2-4 times. Stronger attacks are still able to one shot them though. I know that my intelligent stat isn’t that high since I’m putting all my stat points evenly in all stats, but still I have to say, the monsters got definitely much stronger again." – said Oron.

"Same for the boss monster. That guy died after being munched on by my monsters nonstop and after I used up all of my whip skills." – said Shri.

"Even if these monsters were noticeable stronger than those level 195 alligators that were below level 200, they weren’t extremely hard to the point where we had a lot of trouble while dealing with them." – said GreyHunt.

"So, I don’t think we can call those gorillas something that should pose us any solid challenge. We only struggle a bit because of their numbers."

"However, there is a good chance these guys were like the bottom tier as the level 210 monsters so maybe the average monsters with level 210 are much stronger."

"There is also an option that we would run again into monsters that are much stronger compare to the monsters with same level as them, like the monsters we encounter in the swamps."

"So honestly saying, we don’t really know yet how strong the monsters above level 200 are." – said GreyHunt.

"So, we got to fight different monsters to get a proper picture eh?" – said ClownFrog.

"Well, we got time. It will take us some time to get to the level 220, so we will obviously end up different monsters."

"On top of that, look at our accumulated EXP. Just as we suspected, the amount of EXP got increased by a lot. We got few level ups after beating that Forgotten Bride, but still it will take a day or two before we get to the level 220."

As of right now, we confirmed that we are the only players in the city, but sooner or later it will change.

People are not stupid and some will realize that hunting monsters with much higher level will provide much more EXP. There is also a chance that somebody will use our trick with going outside the adventure guild monitoring range and find a place like that swamp.

Honestly, we did spend few days traveling nonstop, but if somebody high level were to get lucky and get the ride to this place in order to hunt monsters much stronger than themselves like we do, then we would have competition.

However we should be able to leave before anybody arrives, so there is no need to stress about this.

But there is obviously some problems that we may not see.

This world contains many informations that people have yet to discover.

What if somebody discover an extremely effective method of leveling up? Or something that can boost their growth even a little bit to the point they will catch up to us in terms of level?

Unknown information that may or may not exists.

This is quiet annoying like hell and very troublesome.

Well, discovering the informations and then using them for our own advantage is quiet satisfying, so it may be annoying but it’s also bit entertaining if I’m being honest.

"Anyway, the day only just started so let’s continue hunting bit more before taking a break." – said ClownFrog.
