“Last time we met was at the restaurant, wasn’t it?” the man said with a smile. “Haven’t introduced myself yet, I’m Zhang Minghui.”

“I know,” Lin Fei replied with a faint smile. “You must have something in mind coming to me so suddenly, right?”

Zhang Minghui didn’t answer; he just stared at Lin Fei for a while. “I smell something familiar on you. Different from last time. And it looks like you’re in some trouble.”

“Trouble?” Lin Fei’s smile faded.

“Why have you drawn your sword?” Zhang Minghui suddenly asked, his eyes briefly turning a faint purple.

“Snap.” A black cell phone fell to the ground.

Lin Fei suddenly turned around. Xia Jie, looking embarrassed, bent over to pick up the phone. Lin Fei watched him quietly, her eyes indifferent and devoid of warmth.

“No! Sorry… it was just an accident….” Xia Jie’s eyes were filled with confusion and surprise.

“Looking forward to our next meeting.” Zhang Minghui’s voice came from behind.

The BMW car slowly pulled away, followed by two black sedans that seemed to have been escorting it specially.

Xia Jie remained crouching, and Lin Fei looked down at him from above; the two were silent for a moment.

“Let’s go,” Lin Fei suddenly smiled. That kind of gentle warmth returned to him.

He calmly walked past Xia Jie.

Suddenly, from the shadows on the left, a slender figure lunged out, and a silver dagger under the streetlight reflected a bright white light.

Lin Fei’s eyes glowed with a blue light, like gemstones. His right hand instantly swiped from his waist, Bear Claw silently touching the tip of the dagger.

“A kid barely in his teens, do we need to take him so seriously?” the voice on the phone said with disdain.

“Tell Lin You to wait for me at the Taoyuan intersection up ahead. I ran into a friend and will be right there,” Lin Fei nodded and said to Xia Jie.

As Lin Fei watched Xia Jie’s departing figure, she then turned back to face the woman she had subdued.

“You will not die a good death,” the woman said with a miserable laugh, speaking nonsensical words.

If you don’t want to become someone else’s tool, it’s best to make things clear,” Lin Fei said gently. “While I don’t know what suffering you have gone through, if possible, please control your emotions. If I really wanted to kill you, you would be utterly powerless right now.”
