True Solution of the Sword Dao

Lu Xiuya suddenly opened her eyes.

Dazzling white light filled her entire field of vision.

She couldn’t help but reach out her hand to cover her eyes. It was extremely quiet around her, only a faint sound of car horns could be heard, as if coming from a great distance. It felt as if this place either had excellent sound insulation or was itself situated far away from the hustle and bustle of the city—in Capital City, only these two possibilities existed.

Even amidst the vague sounds of car horns, she could hear the occasional chirping of birds.

"Where is this?" she murmured softly, her voice returning to its normal timbre. It was somewhat hoarse but still mingled with a feminine softness.

But no one answered her. The quiet persisted. She could faintly hear the ticking of a clock’s second hand.

As her eyes gradually adjusted to the light, Lu Xiuya slowly moved her hand away. She then began to take in her surroundings.

This was a small room entirely in white, with a white floral chandelier on the ceiling and pure white walls all around. Directly in front of her, on the wall, hung a large square clock. The immaculate curtains covered the room tightly.

She turned her head to look, and even the bedside table was painted white, on which stood a small vase holding several white orchids. They looked fresh, probably having been placed there not long ago. A subtle, elegant fragrance wafted into her nostrils and seemed to lift her spirits somewhat.

She was covered with a blanket as white as snow, carrying a faint scent of laundry detergent, somewhat thick and soft to the touch.

Apart from herself, the room was empty.

"It was that person who saved me," Lu Xiuya recalled the last person she saw before she fainted—the face of the young man with a smile still clear in her mind, along with that wisp of golden external mysterious energy. It could actually penetrate her forehead and had such powerful healing abilities.

And now that wisp of golden energy was completely linked with all the aura inside her body, indistinguishable from one another, as if it were her own life. And it was still rapidly repairing her body’s injuries.

Lu Xiuya could clearly feel that this energy had fully merged with her life, or to put it another way, her life was now entirely sustained by this energy.

The door was gently opened.

Lu Xiuya’s pupils contracted, as the young man from before walked in silently and closed the door behind him.

"That’s not how you say it," the man shrugged, "Of course, I’d be happy to accept that thing you mentioned if you are willing. Now, you rest well. I’m going out."

Lu Xiuya watched calmly as the man left the room and the door was softly closed. With the closing of the door, she felt slightly relaxed at heart. Even though she knew it was only psychological comfort, that thin door, even for a D-level power user, was like paper, offering no defensive power.

But then, the door was opened again. A small figure darted in from the outside.

Only then did Lu Xiuya realize that the newcomer was a little loli. Her black hair was tied into two long ponytails that reached her hips, and as she moved, the ponytails fluttered slightly like two black ribbons.

The little loli was dressed in a black silk tight-fitting shirt with a cotton miniskirt and thigh-high black cotton socks. Her skin was snow-white, her features delicate, like an animated fairy flitting and bouncing to the side of the bed.

Lu Xiuya instantly felt a slight fondness for the little loli.

The loli ran to the side of the bed, staring at her with big eyes.

"Are you the dumbass my brother saved?"

"Don’t call me little buddy." Shuang’er sat on the edge of the bed impatiently. "Acting like you’re so important."

"But you are a little buddy, aren’t you?" Lu Xiuya couldn’t help but feel more relaxed.

"Call me that again and I’ll eat you!" Shuang’er grew even more irritated.

"..." Even though Lu Xiuya couldn’t understand what ’eat you’ meant, she acutely realized that Shuang’er wasn’t joking, but speaking of something she might actually do. So, she promptly stopped talking.

Shuang’er sat on the bed’s edge, scrutinizing Lu Xiuya carefully.

"So this is the type that big brother likes." She looked Lu Xiuya up and down intently.

A hand viciously grasped Lu Xiuya’s chest.

"Woman."

Shuang’er observed, her small hand giving a squeeze.

"How can these get bigger?"

"Brat!!" Lu Xiuya freaked out.

After a chaotic cacophony of loud noises...

"Wuuu... Brother..." Shuang’er tearfully ran out of the room and disappeared around the corner of the hallway.

Suddenly, the figure of Lin Fei appeared at the edge of the room’s doorway.

"This girl!! What did she learn from her trip to Tianjing City!" Lin Fei sighed helplessly, glancing inside the room which was in complete disarray, a sight too painful to behold.

Indeed, even if not fully recovered, a B-level fighter who had regained some strength could still exhibit tremendous combat power. Even stepping into C-level, Shuang’er was no match.

Inside the room

"This kid!!" Lu Xiuya’s cheeks flushed with embarrassment; her chest heaved rapidly with anger. "No one has ever dared to do this to me from the time I was little!!" In her memory, people always looked at her with awe and fear, or at most with admiration, envy, and jealousy. Lu Xiuya had grown up bathed in countless accolades.

A prodigious young girl, the star of hope in Hua Nation’s superpower circle, the Black Scorpion, one of the Five Stars, the Black Star—each title belonged only to the exceptional. Even young girls, when seeing her, looked up in reverence, and the most mischievous of children would naturally cower before her formidable presence, becoming careful and circumspect.

She had never encountered a child like Shuang’er before.

Lin Fei stood at the doorway, glanced at Lu Xiuya inside, then slowly walked away.

"Sir." Yuan Yicheng stepped out from the other end of the hallway.

"You’ve returned? The situation is dire." Lin Fei communicated directly through spatial transmission. "My plan is facing a significant threat. I must know whether someone who can sever the connection to the True Force seeds could also sever and release the deep integration similar to that of the Scarlet Hand and Xu Ruoruo. If that’s the case, the consequences could be unimaginable."

"The True Force seed should have some connection with its host. If your connection was severed, there are two possibilities: one is that the True Force seed has been destroyed; the other is that someone temporarily isolated the connection. If it’s the former, it’s not too bad, but if it’s the latter, we could be at a disadvantage," Yuan Yicheng analyzed.

"That’s why we must resolve this issue immediately. I can sense all True Force seeds, whether merged or unmerged. The one that lost connection previously seems to be in the northwest direction, presumably within United Kingdom territory by distance."

Atop a commercial building, a black-haired man dressed in medieval grey-black Knight’s Armor suddenly appeared at the edge. His handsome face and his robust, mech-like body were adorned with a fairy girl on his left shoulder, who had transparent cicada wings and gently falling light spots.

"Xiuya, where is this place? Is this Hua Nation? I remember it wasn’t like this before," the fairy voiced her confusion.
