True Solution of the Sword Dao

The two exchanged a bit more about the significant happenings in the Inner World, then gradually shifted the conversation to Swordsmanship and Sword Dao.

Lin Fei was currently in the phase of transforming True Force into True Qi, while Jin Yi had completed this phase much earlier and naturally had a wealth of experience. She provided Lin Fei with many suggestions and assistance.

After chatting for a while, they stood up, paid the bill, and left.

The streets were bustling with activity, squads of soldiers hurriedly passed by, and pedestrians rushed along, hardly any strolling leisurely, nor were there any elderly or children apart from those of prime age.

As the two walked slowly along the sidewalk, they seemed somewhat conspicuous. Everyone passing by them hurried along, only they appeared exceptionally leisurely.

Suddenly, a deafening roar came from the square.

"Nolia! Behemoths! Behemoths! Behemoths!" a deep male voice thundered angrily.

Then, a vast echoing roar followed his, rising like a tidal wave. Countless people were shouting.

The whole ground seemed to be shaking.

Lin Fei and Jin Yi felt their scalps tingle.

"It’s the people from the Behemoth Legion. I’ve been here for two days, and they’ve been shouting like this for two days, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. It seems to be their routine training," Jin Yi said helplessly. Since arriving in the Inner World, she had gradually lost some of the randomness she had when she was first revived, gaining a bit more solemnity and steadiness.

Cars continuously passed by on the streets just as on Earth.

"What’s better here than on Earth is the pollution," Lin Fei took a deep breath, the air had no trace of gasoline smell at all, but a faint fragrance of flowers instead.

This was the scent of blooming plants in the roadside greenery.

"Yes, the vehicles here don’t use fuel like gasoline or diesel. Instead, they use a type of low-level Energy Stone for energy release that even Psychics don’t need," Jin Yi explained.

"Low-level Energy Stone?"

"I’m not very clear on it either," Jin Yi shrugged.

The two quickly strolled through the streets, and among the shops on the roadside, there were also interspersed with teahouses, pubs or a mix of pubs and teahouses, along with various clubs and restaurants. It was quite akin to a replica of Earth.

Picking a pub that seemed upscale, the two just walked in when two pretty young girls with long fox tails approached to greet them, leading them upstairs to the second floor.

"Yes. We are from the Outer World," Lin Fei said with a smile.

"So you really are from the Outer World, sir. Xiao Qu is seeing someone from the Outer World for the first time!" the girl exclaimed with surprise.

Lin Fei smiled.

"You rarely see people from the Outer World here? There are a lot of people in the high-level district, you should be able to see them, right?"

"That’s different! The people in the high-level district rarely come out, they mostly move around using Teleportation Formations. Previously, Xiao Qu only ever saw some people from afar, but they were all locals, people from the Outer World, even within Kansas City, hold high statuses," Xiao Qu explained as her big tail swayed back and forth, looking very cute.

Lin Fei and she kept up a sporadic conversation, while the other fox-tailed girl just quietly smiled, not interrupting.

Jin Yi also just quietly watched from the side.

The two of them went upstairs and sat down by the window in the corner of the hall.

The entire second floor hall was quite empty, with not many guests. Out of the more than twenty tables, only six or seven were occupied.

Everyone was talking softly, deliberately keeping their voices low, giving off an exceptionally quiet atmosphere. Coupled with the restaurant’s simple and elegant decor, it felt like one was in a lazy afternoon tea house - very comfortable.

Lin Fei and Jin Yi also relaxed a bit.

"Dear guests, may I ask what you would like to order? Here is the menu," said another fox-tailed girl accompanying Xiao Qu, handing over a menu. She continued, "At Yuehu Tower, the waiter who leads guests in will serve them throughout. So, you can call on me and Xiao Qu anytime you have any questions." The girl spoke calmly. "We will be waiting over to the side."

"Yes, understood," Lin Fei glanced at the menu, which had quite a few novel dishes, many of which were names he had never heard of. He casually ordered a few items, then handed it to Jin Yi to order.

After ordering, the two girls left.

Lin Fei and Jin Yi then began to observe the other dining guests.

The patrons here obviously did not have the same quality as those in the cold drink shop seen earlier. The auras they exuded were only slightly stronger than ordinary people on Earth.

Not like in the cold drink shop earlier, where there was a swath of D-levels, and a few C-levels occasionally visible.

These guests were softly discussing various topics - though their voices were soft, Lin Fei and Jin Yi could clearly hear everything.

Most people were discussing mundane family matters or talking about using connections to secure positions in certain departments. However, the conversation at one of the tables caught Lin Fei’s attention.

"What family? Have you forgotten how you ended up in this situation?" the other man said indignantly, "If I were in your shoes, I’d never compromise even if it cost me my life!" he said emphatically.

"That’s easy for you to say..." the man named Li Lang was still hesitating. "But after all, they weren’t too bad to me before, and it seems somewhat ungrateful to kick them when they are down..."

"Are you still thinking about that now!" the other man exclaimed indignantly, "You’re no longer part of the Russell Family. The few of us have already secured the mining rights. With just those few D-level elders from the Russell Family, do you think they dare defy the edicts of the Law Enforcement Office? Won’t you and I reap substantial profits each year if we act now? In the Inner World, as the most scarce resource, Energy Stones have always been coveted by all forces, and Energy Stone Mines were a wealth that no force could abandon.
