The Mad King's Heir

Li Jun’s brow arched, wondering what this idiot was on about. What fucking end goal? Yu Wen was sitting so close to him, his strong aura engulfing him, making it hard for him to breathe. He wanted to move away but that would make him seem like a coward.

"What are you talking about?" He asked casually while taking out a packet to smoke. He had just put it between his lips when Yu Wen reached over and took it from him.

Li Jun, "..."

He turned to look at him with an expression that seemed to say, "Are you out of your mind?" Yu Wen felt like he had long lost his mind. He not only showed up here for no reason but he also couldn’t stop thinking about him and now this.

"Aren’t you trying to quit?" He suddenly blurted out. He regretted it as soon as the words left his mouth.

As expected, Li Jun exclaimed, "Who told you that? There is a rat in my house... fuck." It seemed he needed to call a staff meeting immediately after this and find out who was telling his business to the world? No, not to the world, to his archenemy.

Yu Wen said, "There is no snitch. I figured you were trying to quit," pointing at the gum on the table. Li Jun had indeed been using them whenever he felt the urge.

He pursed his lips and finally said, "What do you really want? If there is nothing, you should leave. I have some ladies to entertain."

Yu Wen felt a great sense of annoyance when he said he had ladies to entertain. He couldn’t explain why he was feeling that way. He suppressed his emotions and asked again, "What is the end goal? Li Jun, you aren’t as bad as your reputation, so why do you let them talk badly about you?"

Li Jun was genuinely surprised but he didn’t show it on his face. His lips curled into a smile as he said, "Yu Wen, just because we slept with each other once, it doesn’t mean that you should be in my business. We each take what we want and move on. That’s how this works."

"Is that what happened with the others?" he asked and Li Jun was stomped but his expression was unchanged. Yu Wen continued saying, "You slept with them once and just kicked them to the curb? Just discarded them?" As he said this, his eyes shone a fleeting emotion that Li Jun couldn’t discern. He didn’t like this version of Yu Wen. He was unpredictable and unsettling.

"Yes, I am just that kind of scumbag. Now, if there is nothing else-," he said, getting up but Yu Wen grasped his arm and stopped him. Li Jun asked, "What now?"

"You lost twice. I still have one more request," he said, his tone serious.

Li Jun, who just wanted him out of here, asked impatiently, "Hurry up and say it. I am tired of looking at your u... your face?" He wanted to say ugly face but who was he kidding?

Yu Wen was the perfect human specimen. His face was strikingly handsome, like the gods had taken their sweet, precious time making him. It was like he was god’s favorite. Li Jun was in a trance for a second, just staring at Yu Wen.

Being stared at like that, Yu Wen felt his ears heat up for some reason. He knew what he was about to ask was shameful and he was fully prepared for Li Jun to laugh at him. But if he didn’t ask, he felt like he wouldn’t be able to get over it. He won’t be able to function properly.

After gathering his courage, he said, "Can I kiss you?" his hands feeling a little clammy from all the nervousness.

"Huh?" Li Jun finally snapped out of his trance. When he heard the question, he thought he had heard wrong. Maybe there was too much wax in his ears. He let out a soft chuckle and said, "I thought you said "Can I kiss you? I must have drunk too much." 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

Yu Wen cleared his throat and said, "I did."

Li Jun turned his head sharply to look at him. The amusement in his eyes faded. When their eyes met, the tension in the room grew even more intense. He studied him for a second as though trying to discern his thoughts.

After what seemed like an eternity, he set his glass down on the side table. He leaned back and spread his arm along the back of the couch and asked, "If I kiss you, will you leave?"

Yu Wen’s Adam’s apple bobbed his throat feeling a little dry. "I will leave," he said, his voice hoarse.

"One kiss..." whispered Li Jun, feeling awkward as fuck but he didn’t show it.

Yu Wen nodded and after hesitating for a second, he moved towards him. Li Jun’s heart jumped in his throat seeing him get closer. He was starting to regret it but there was no backing out now.

Yu Wen’s hand found the side of Li Jun’s neck, his thumb pressing against the warm skin just beneath his jaw. He could feel Li Jun’s strong and rapid heartbeat against his palm. Li Jun’s eyes were locked on him, following his every move.

Slowly, Yu Wen leaned in, giving Li Jun enough time to pull away. But Li Jun didn’t move away. Their lips met, the kiss soft and gentle.

The man’s lips were warm and slightly parted. He lingered, drinking in every breath that carried his scent. He tasted faintly of whiskey. It was sweet and intoxicating.

Yu Wen wanted more but he had only asked for one kiss. If he got greedy, then Li Jun might get angry. He started to pull back but Li Jun’s hand shot out and grabbed his collar, pulling him closer.

Their mouths collided again, harder this time. The kiss was no longer as gentle as before. Yu Wen gasped against Li Jun’s lips, startled by the sudden fierceness. Li Jun’s kiss was urgent like he had been starved for a long time, and he finally had a taste.

His tongue swept into Yu Wen’s mouth and the man groaned, his hands tightening on Li Jun’s neck. Their tongues were tangled together in a hot and slick mess. The taste of whiskey spread through to Yu Wen’s mouth, making him feel dizzy and euphoric.
