Yu Wen approached Yu Xuan, intending for him to get up but Yu Xuan refused. It was Li Jun’s subtle gesture that finally made him move. With great reluctance, he stepped to the side and Yu Wen sat down, meeting Li Jun’s gaze.

Li Jun shuffled the deck of cards, saying, "If you lose, you are banned from my club." This was the best way he could think of to get rid of Yu Wen.

Without any resistance, he said, "Sure, and if I win, I want something."

Putting the deck down, Li Jun gazed at him, his brow raised. "What something?" What could Yu Wen possibly want from him? If it was about his father’s death, he really didn’t remember.

"I will tell you then," he said, and Yan Jia smiled contemptuously. She knew Yu Wen was going to lose and when he does, he will be banned from the club. Even Yu Xuan couldn’t wait to see someone else get an ass-whooping.

The young lady caressed Li Jun’s chest, her long fingernails painted with cherry red, a large contrast to his dark shirt. "If you win, I will give you a kiss," she whispered into his ear, but everyone could hear it. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

Yan Jia thought this shameless woman and Yu Xuan were thinking you fucking wish. Yu Wen, on the other hand, was thinking that it wasn’t going to happen because he was not going to lose.

Li Jun placed the deck in front of him and said, "Shuffle, in case you claim I cheated."

The general picked up the deck and began to shuffle while saying, "I wouldn’t do that," his voice gentle, almost coaxing. Li Jun leaned back in his seat, his hand resting behind the woman. He was wondering what sort of game Yu Wen was playing. It was unsettling.

Yu Wen distributed the cards and when he was done, he looked at Li Jun as though saying let’s begin. Li Jun sighed as he leaned forward and picked up the cards. When he saw his hand, his expression didn’t change. He had a promising Solar straight with consecutive ranks but it wasn’t strong enough to guarantee a win.

He glanced at Yu Wen, trying to read his expression and their gazes met. Unlike Yu Xuan, this man had on a straight face that was incredibly hard to read. "Fuck," he swore internally. He hesitated for a second before he slid two cards forward to swap. He was hoping it would complete his run.

On the other side, Yu Wen discarded one card, his movements calm and leisurely. It was as though he already knew the outcome. When Li Jun picked up his replacements, his heart jolted. He now had four in a row. He was going to freaking win this. Well, at least that’s what he thought.

"General Yu, you’d better not step into my club after this," he said as he laid down his Solar straight. Yu Wen looked at the long, veiny hand that had touched him in inexplicable places that night and he swallowed. He could recall the sensation of that Chimera ring brushing against his chest as he thrust into him. He swallowed, his Adam’s apple bobbing.

Li Jun took a sip of the brown liquor with a sly smirk. With a taunt in his voice, he said, "What? Too scared to show how badly you lost?" Yu Xuan was laughing, rejoicing in someone else’s misery. Yan Jia smirked excitedly. She couldn’t wait to plaster Yu Wen’s face all over the building with the caption saying, "Banned permanently".

Having snapped out of his trance, he spread the cards across the table. It was five consecutive ranks, all shimmering with the rare Nova energy. It was a Nova Burst. Yu Xuan was taken aback, eyes so wide they could pop out of their sockets. Yan Jia gritted her teeth and the young lady who thought she was about to lock lips with the prince was so disappointed.

Li Jun was in disbelief. This had to be a fluke, right? In the past, no matter whom he played against, he would always win. What shit luck was this? He was throwing a fit internally, but his demeanor was still calm. He said, "One more round." Yu Wen didn’t refuse. He passed the deck to him.

They started another round and this time Li Jun took it seriously. But in the end, he lost again. Yu Xuan was almost driven to madness. How the hell did Li Jun lose? It was unbelievable. Li Jun was also surprised but what was the point of throwing a fit? He asked, "What do you want?"

"I will tell you but... they have to leave," replied Yu Wen. That request was met with resistance. Even the young lady spoke up. She finally had her chance. How could she let it slip through her fingers? Hell no!

Li Jun gestured to Yan Jia and she told the young woman to get up. With a look of displeasure on her face, she got up and left with Yan Jia right behind her. Yu Xuan was stubborn. He refused to move an inch. Li Jun had to coax him, saying, "Ah-Xu, don’t be stubborn. I promise I will buy you something nice if you listen to me."

Yu Xuan was pouting like an angry cat but he also knew he couldn’t be so willful. He said, "I want the doughnuts from that fancy place," as he got up to leave.

Li Jun chuckled and said, "Anything you want, pretty princess."

Yu Xuan said, "Fuck you," his voice drawled.

Seeing his reaction after being cursed out by Yu Xuan, Yu Wen said, "You two have a good relationship."

"Yeah, we grew up together," replied Li Jun as he took another sip, leaning back into his seat. "Now what do you want?"

Yu Wen hesitated for a moment. In the end, he got up and sat where the young woman was just sitting. Li Jun’s body tensed a little but soon he relaxed. What was there to be afraid of? He said, "If this is about your father, I-," but he was interrupted by Yu Wen.

"No... I want to know why you are doing this. What is the end goal?"
