- Chapter 1: Max Sullivan
I need to master myself to sleep, but after around 7 hours of sleeping and laying around, I woke with Oliv’s tit still in my hand and Veronica’s soft breathing on my ear.
I rolled over quietly and grabbed my shorts. I ordered breakfast and coffee and 20 minutes later I woke up the girls.
We enjoyed a delivered breakfast in our skimpy sleeping wear, sipping coffee slowly.
When we were ready, I messaged my parents, only to find out they were already downstairs, ready to go.
Hastily, we made our way downstairs and joined them. We headed back through the forest to the central spot of the island and this time we headed towards the beach.
As we walked, the trees started to thin out, and I saw what I felt was some incredible stuff. Through the leaves, there was a view of the ocean.
The ground became sandy underfoot, and we knew we were getting close to the beach.
When we reached the shoreline, we took off our shoes and walked onto the sand. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
When we got there we realized that there really weren’t many people there and the ones that did come sat near the entrance to the forest.
We took off our shoes and walked onto the beach. There was also a stand that sold coolers with drinks so we decided to buy some drinks and then we moved out further to a more secluded spot.
We put all the picnic items down and spread the blankets across.
We also had 2 chairs with us to lay down on. Thanks to me, because I carried them all the way here.
Veronica turned to look at us, her eyes bright. "Who is ready to go swimming?"
"You go ahead, I’d like to lay out and enjoy the sun." Oliv said.
With that, she stood and untied her blouse. Slipping the blouse off her shoulders, she revealed a kelly green and white bikini top. She unsnapped her shorts and, with a couple of hip wiggles slid off her shorts.
Her bottoms were cut low on the hip with elastic waist and leg openings.
"Alright, suit yourself," Veronica replied with a shrug.
With graceful movements, she raised her shirt over her shoulders, revealing a sleek black bikini top underneath. Then she unfastened her shorts and let them drop to the sand, unveiling matching bottoms.
With an inviting stride, Veronica approached the water’s edge. "Shall we?" she asked.
After persuading my parents to take some time for themselves in the water and on the sand, I joined Veronica for a playful splash around.
As the sun slowly made its way across the sky, about an hour into our leisurely afternoon, I found myself floating on my back in the water with the girls.
"This is so nice," Olivia said, her voice carrying a sense of contentment. "No sounds except for the wind through the trees and the birds."
Indeed, it was very quiet and everything was slow. But I was starting to get some unwanted signals from my brain. I felt myself becoming a little too relaxed, too sleepy.
We lay in that position for a short while longer when we started hearing a buzzing sound in the distance. We tried to ignore the noise, but it was becoming increasingly louder, as if the source was moving closer.
The buzzing motor sound was very loud. We flipped back onto our feet and we were suddenly struck with a stream of water.
There were two red jet skis at full throttle and pulled a sharp U-turn sending spray all over us.
As the water settled, I exchanged bewildered glances with Olivia and Veronica.
"What on earth..." I began, but before I could finish, it became clear that the people on the jet skis were part of the rescue team.
Did they think we were laying dead or something?
""ALARM! ALARM!"" The two men on the jet skis started yelling urgently.
""Immediate evacuation! Immediate evacuation!""
Oliv panicked, "What’s going on?!"
"There is a galaxy-wide red alarm! Everyone is to teleport back to where they came from immediately!"
"I understand," I said, trying to stay calm for Olivia and Veronica. "For now, let’s get packed. We’ll find out what’s going on later."
But deep down, I knew that something really bad must have happened. Even when one of the planets was being attacked by Zytherian Jumpers the last time, there was no red alert.
As we were getting out of the water, ready to head back to shore, the rescue team seemed about to leave. But then, one of them hesitated.
"Do you know or have seen anyone by the name Maximillian Sullivan?" he asked.
All eyes turned toward me, even my dad who was helping my mom out of the water turned in his direction.
"I’m Maximillian Sullivan," I replied.
Instantly, the man clicked something on his device, and a moment later, the other rescue team member who was already swimming away flipped his jet ski and returned.
"We apologize for not recognizing you, Sir. We are here to help you get to the teleportation device with priority."
"If it is just me and not everyone I am with, then no thanks," I said after a moment of thought.
The man quickly said, "Of course, we will also send all of your friends and family."
I agreed, and within seconds, three more jet skis arrived. We left a few things on the beach and quickly climbed onto the skis to make our way to the entrance of the forest. Walking fast through the trees, we knew time was of the essence.
Although the beach had seemed relatively empty, we soon realized that there were over 300 people on the island at that moment. Most of them had come from the village or the mountain, either as guests or workers.
As we approached the Observer, we saw a long queue of people waiting. But as soon as the person controlling it saw us approaching with the five people in red shirts leading us, he made the next person in line wait.
A group of people in the queue became visibly agitated, whispering among themselves about how I seemed to be getting priority for transportation back.
The man controlling the Observer noticed their discontent and addressed them firmly.
"Maximillian Sullivan is on the ’Essential For The Survival of Human Kind’ list, with the same degree of importance as the Governor of Coelus."
His words silenced the group, but I could still feel their skeptical gazes on me. However, I didn’t care; I focused on getting my family and girlfriends to safety and finding out what exactly was going on.
Without further delay, we stepped into the Observer, and within seconds, we reappeared at the same travel agency we had departed from.
But as we emerged from the device, I was struck by the scene before us.
A group of people stood before the Observer, their expressions grave and their demeanor serious. Among them were scientists, politicians, and individuals who exuded authority.
Some were frantically taking notes, others were on the phone, and some were deep in talk, but you could feel how stressed they were.
The Lord stood in the middle of it all, but this was not the same Lord I had met before.
He was dressed in Black.
