After finishing breakfast and bidding farewell to Oliv, I made a call to Engineer Mr. Henry. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
I said, "Hello?"
Mr. Henry in a gruff voice said, "Yes?"
"I’ve got a plan to get in touch with SpaceZ. Do you, by any chance, know someone who might have a connection there?"
Mr. Henry paused for a moment, and said, "Well, there’s this engineer I know. Works over at SpaceZ. I got acquainted with him at a conference a while back."
I said eagerly, "That sounds promising. Can you pass along the message or help facilitate a meeting?"
"I can certainly try. But mind you, these SpaceZ folks are usually wrapped up in their own business. Not the easiest bunch to get through."
"I appreciate your help, Mr. Henry."
"Well... I’ll make the call and see what I can do. I will call you back."
"Thank you, Mr. Henry."
With that, we exchanged some pleasantries and ended the call.
Not too long after, I got a message from Mr. Henry saying that a team leader at SpaceZ said that they would certainly be interested if I wanted to talk with them.
He gave him my number and they should call me soon.
Surely, 30 minutes later, someone called my phone. The team leader from SpaceZ was on the line.
I answered the phone. "Hello?"
"Good evening, Professor Maximillian?"
"Yes, speaking."
"This is Mr. Charles from SpaceZ. I got your number from Mr. Henry. He mentioned you have some interesting ideas."
"It is a pleasure to speak with you, Mr. Charles. Yes, I do have an idea that I’d like to share. I’m not looking for any financial gain; I just want to contribute to advancing science."
I could hear that Mr. Charles was surprised. "No monetary gains? That’s quite unexpected. What’s your proposal?"
"I’d like to meet someone from SpaceZ to discuss it in person. If my ideas can contribute to progress, that’s reward enough for me. I only ask that my name be included in the project."
Mr. Charles paused for a second and said, "Well, that’s a unique offer, Professor. We’re certainly interested. Can you meet us today?"
"Today works for me. The sooner, the better. I’m currently in Boston."
"Great. We’ll come to you. Is the evening convenient?"
"Perfect. Feel free to reach out later to finalize the location details."
"Will do. Looking forward to our meeting, Professor Maximillian."
"Likewise, Mr. Charles. Have a good day."
After the conversation, I entered my office, ready to immerse myself in learning. I didn’t want to go crazy.
The first thing I checked was my email, and there it was – an update from NeuralDream.
The first human test was in progress. The patient was stable, undergoing an induced coma, and set to wake up in two days. I really hoped that it would succeed.
Next, I delved into the online forums to discuss my Unified Quantum Theory.
Many well-known Physicists said that after reviewing the theory for 2-3 weeks, they could say that there was no problem with the theory, but testing it in the real world was as hard as testing the String Theory.
I answered that by saying that soon I would give them the proof that they needed.
After all, my String Harmony Project was underway.
After addressing these matters, I shifted my focus to the study of the 5th layer of Quantum Physics, as explained by the Magnificence Scholar Emanuel.
I pondered the connection between the concept of switching between 3-branes during sleep and the phenomenon of jumping.
Jumping involved mentally traversing these 3-branes, yet physical movement between them remained impossible.
Breaking through to the 4th cluster necessitated achieving this feat physically.
So, as I was thinking, it seemed like those Quasars in the Jumping process could somehow break through the barrier of the 3-branes.
They moved faster than light, connecting my brain with the other me.
Strangely, other elementary particles couldn’t do this. If they could, The Observer would be able to entangle and transport things beyond the 3-brane barrier.
As I pondered, I wondered if Quasars were the only elemental particles capable of breaking through the barrier.
Upon reviewing the properties of all elemental particles, besides being a radiowave radiation source, Quasars didn’t seem significantly different.
Their energy levels were high, and the similarity of these energy levels in different clusters allowed for Jumping.
This similarity also explained why twins might occasionally feel like they share thoughts, even if their quasar energy levels weren’t precisely the same.
Time quickly flew by and it was already 5pm. And around that time, I got another call from Mr. Charles.
"Hello, Professor Maximillian. Together with an assistant lawyer, we are now in Boston. I was thinking maybe we could meet at the Deuxave restaurant?" Mr. Charles suggested over the phone.
I replied, "I have never been there, but of course, alright. Are you already there?"
"We are currently sitting in a taxi."
I said, "Alright, I will also take a taxi then. Deuxave was it?"
"Yes," Mr. Charles confirmed, and we exchanged some pleasantries before ending the call.
I put on a nice shirt and pants, then called a taxi.
Getting inside, the driver asked, "Where to?"
I replied, "Deuxave restaurant."
The man nodded and took off. Twenty minutes later, I arrived at the restaurant, where a man with some grey hair, perhaps around 50 years old, stood in front.
As soon as he saw me, he approached with a middle-aged woman behind him.
"Good evening, Professor Maximillian," he said.
I responded, "Mr. Charles, I presume?"
He confirmed, "Yes, I’m Charles, and this is," pointing to the woman behind him, "Lawyer Elisia. She’s here just to make sure that everything goes smoothly."
I nodded, and we entered the restaurant. Mr. Charles said, "I booked a table beforehand," and we came up to a round table prepared for three.
As we sat down, Mr. Charles said, "It’s an honor to meet with an Able and a Nobel Prize winner. I’ve never had such an opportunity."
I waved my hand and replied, "Stop with the pleasantries. That’s not why I’m here."
He nodded and said, "Of course. So... all that Mr. Henry mentioned is that you had an idea to share. However, why would you share it with us? You are young. Don’t you want to act on it yourself?"
I replied, "Mr. Charles, I want to do a lot of things in my life, but it would take too much time to do them all myself. That is why I want to give you this idea to build on."
Mr. Charles nodded and said, "I’m all ears then."
I asked Mr. Charles, "You must have heard about the Fusion Engine."
He replied, "Of course. I heard it reached 4 times the output of the most powerful nuclear engine lately. The USA just began building one."
After hearing this, I realized that I sometimes learned about things from random people rather than from my own workers.
I reached into my bag and took out a piece of A4 printout containing a design sketch of my rocket with three stages.
While it didn’t include all the details, there was enough information for Mr. Charles to get a grasp of the concept.
The sketch highlighted the presence of miniature fusion engines in the bottom two stages as well as the strange structure in the last stage which created pulses with no source of energy.
I handed the paper to him, and he carefully examined it for about 30 seconds, absorbing the basic structure and components of the rocket.
Mr. Charles shifted his gaze from the design to me, a mix of skepticism and curiosity in his eyes.
He asked, "Is this the entire design?"
I responded, "No, of course not. The sketch lacks all the detailed explanations and finer points."
Mr. Charles expressed doubt, saying, "If I received this from anyone other than a Professor, I’d think it’s a joke."
I reassured him, "It’s no joke. I’ve compiled a comprehensive documentation and theoretical foundation to support its functionality."
He raised a concern, "How are those fusion engines controlled? Firing lasers at takeoff would lead to an uncontrollable reaction."
I explained, "That’s precisely why there are numerous miniature engines. Delayed ignition of lasers from the surface of Earth and the mirror-like structure allows precise control of the fusion process."
Mr. Charles questioned the physics behind the last stage, stating, "In my understanding, this doesn’t make any sense. Electric propulsion has limitations due to insufficient thrust. The amount of energy that we could store and use during the flight is limited too."
I teased, "This is the most interesting part," and added with a smile, "My company is currently working on a new technology. I’ll just say that immediate, wireless energy transfer over vast distances might be possible soon."
As Mr. Charles pondered over this revelation, he asked, "So you’re suggesting that magic will soon be a reality? But then, if you’re giving us this design for free, what about the new technology?"
I replied, "Well, I never said I’d cover the costs of bringing it to life..."
