The cadets all went in the forest as soon as professor Gaios told them to.
"What do we do? They say those plants only grew on waters such as deep lake? "
"Uhh, that professor is evil"
The students murmurs echoed loudly on his ears as soon as he stepped inside.
’Lake? Seriously? ’ he clicked his tongue, annoyance flickering on his face.
Zeres crossed the forest, the scent of dried leaves and countless fresh fruits drifted across the forest.
The sound of dried leaves being stepped in echoed across the forest as students rushed in like they’re in a race.
Well, they are in a tight time limit.
Walking leisurely, he stopped before two intersections of tall trees before going straight on the left path.
He could already hear the sound of water dripping thanks to his improved senses. Well, it wasn’t always good though.
"Is it this lake? " he mumbled, his gaze fixed on the deep lake before him.
"There won’t be a crocodile right?"
"Darn professor, making cadets do this, he must be a pervert quietly taking peeks at his own students." He hissed, his hands shotting up to the buttons of his uniform.
He wasn’t dumb enough to be drench on his clothes.
After he unbottoned it, he sent it straight to his storage ring.
The warm wind met his body bare-skin, revealing a toned body.
’Hmm, is this also the benefits of that mana? ’ he touched his body softly.
’His body right now could put his body on the earth to death in a single punch.’
"Wait, just what am I thinking? "
"Let’s get this done" he muttered under his breath, removing his boots, be delve in straight at the lake.
’Whoa, this is absurd’ he thought, his gaze drifting across the lake.
It was wide—so wide and deep you’d have thought it’s no different than a beach.
The light penetrated through the lake, schools of silverfish circling around him. Rare plants could be seen on the deeper part of the lake.
’Is this the size they consider lake? ’
Diving deeper, he came before a plant with three massive purple petals, the leaves on its stem have the color of lapis.
’Is this it? ’ he grabbed it gently.
’The professor said it’s the leaves that’s needed, but I might need this petals.’ He thought as he swam farther.
Moiner leaves didn’t grow together— that’s what the professor told them.
’How troublesome’
All of a sudden, he felt a presence behind him.
He turned around, looking before him, his eyes widened—then he turned back at the speed of lightspeed.
’Fucking hell’ he cursed under his breath. ’But I can’t give up now, until I have three of this."
The presence he just felt right now was Saelyz, the protagonist herself— she was on the same lake as him.
And what’s worse, is that she was wearing a skirt, her uniform tightly clinging to her figure.
’My life’s over, people will think I’m a pervert’ He sighed.
"The professor only told us to get the leaves" A voice enhanced by mana echoed behind him.
"I know" he replied.
"Then why? " she pressed.
"I just like it" Zeres answered.
Saelyz looked after him, her gaze drifting on his body before she spoke:
"You don’t know the fragment spell for drying your clothes? "
"Instead of being here on academy, why don’t you try working on a brothel, you’ll do well there." She continued.
’Huh? ’ Zeres’ gaze snapped down on his body.
Right, he wasn’t wearing a shirt.
’Wait, the tattoo on my back! ’ he turned, his eyes drifting back on his back as if he could see it.
"I’m not seducing, unless you’re affected? " he teased, a playful grin appearing on his pale features.
Saelyz’s gaze sharpened, her mana was slight seeping out.
"I’m kidding" Zeres raised his hands in mock surrender.
_____________
"Phew" Zeres panted as his hand grabbed on a cobblestone, then he pulled himself out of the lake.
He held three Moiner plants on his hand as he stood up, his body dripping with water.
It traced down his chiseled jawline, down to his neck, to his adams apple then down his toned body.
"Damn~"
"He’s really hot isn’t he? "
"No wonder all boys hate him"
’Huh? ’ Zeres’ head snapped towards the sound, and there— cadets of the same path as him huddled together.
They were all staring at him, to his face down his bare upper body.
"Move, I can’t get up" an annoyed voice echoed behind him as he was pushed to the side.
’Hey don’t come out now! ’ Zeres was speechless.
Of all the times she could come out of the lake, she really chose it to be right now.
"Uhh, I’m drenched" she mumbled to herself as she gripped her skirt, water dripping down the ground.
"What the"
"They’re together inside that lake? "
"What’s the matter? we’re adults "
"Yeah, they must have been doing something in there"
They both looked like a mess, wet hair sticking on their faces, drenched clothes tightly clinging to their shapes.
Saelyz stared at Zeres, their gazes locked— asking whose fault was it inside of their own mind.
Then Saelyz turned away first.
"Dry" she chanted
’Huh? ’ Zeres glanced at her, he could feel his wet pants being dried up quickly, even his long hair.
"Thanks" he mumbled, barely audible, just enough for the both of them to hear it.
"Let’s go inside the lake, they must be done now." The women who stayed there in the cobblestone murmured to each other.
Taking one last glance at the two of them who seem to not care what kind of absurd issue they’ll be in.
"I will be taking Ygres grass, want to come with me?" Zeres asked.
No matter how troublesome it is to deal with her, she’s one of the most dedicated cadets— so of course, he needs her help; after all, he had already forgotten the look of the Ygres grass.
’I should’ve taken notes damn it’ he ruffled his long hair in annoyance.
She stared at him for a moment, then she nodded. "Okay"
