"Haa, this is tiring. I wanna go home" Zeres yawned. One day had passed since the start of the Trial.
Lying on the grass, Zeres held up the flag; it was now blue on color, with 02 points.
The flags transformation was two times, from green to blue then violet. But it wasn’t simple, the transformation of flags has a requirement of reaching 100 points—it will then transfom, and your points will reset to zero.
"Should I find our dear prince now? He challenged me in the first place after all" breathing through his nose, he walked leisurely. "But he didn’t give me location, so I guess it’s just a childish provocation."
The cold wind greeted Zeres after walking for a long time. Snow covered the ground and monsters living in cold weather were everywhere.
"Isn’t this the northern part of this island? " smoke came from his mouth as he spoke, signifying the cold weather biting at his skin.
"I should go back—" he turned around. Just then, the loud sound of explosion entered his ears. His head snapped towards the sound immediately, he kicked the ground hard, running straight at the chaos that had occured far ahead.
_______________
*Moments earlier*
"Saintess? "
Haslien’s head turned towards the sound. A man with golden-blonde locks appeared, his deep ocean-like eyes stared gently at her.
"Would you like to team up with me? This is the northern part you see—it will be hard to travel alone." He extended her gloved hands before her.
"That goes without saying!" Haslien smiled cheerfully, then she took his hands.
"It’s really cold out here, how come you came her faster than me? " Feilres asked, his head turning at Haslien who wore a thick jacket.
"Ahh, I just got lucky and somehow made it here without any troubles."
"I see" Feilres nodded.
They continued to walk, until they heard a guttural roar ahead of them. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
They stared at each other for a moment. "Let’s go"
"What’s going on here? " Haslien asked, gripping the staff on her hands, she turned towards Feilres.
There were three monsters: one was a minotaur and the other two were two massive icewolf circling it.
"Possibly a territorial fight, but the minotaur being here is unusual. They usually resides in labryinth or they’re either a guardian if they somehow have sentience." Feilres eyes narrowed as he stared at the three monsters.
"What should we do? " Haslien asked.
"Deal with them of course" a dangerous glint passed his eyes, then it vanished in an instant.
"Okay, I’ve got your back" Haslien said, then she deployed a golden magic circle filled with timuc letters. The air shifted, before all three of the monsters were constrained by chains that grew from the ground.
"Finish it quickly! I can’t hold the three of them for long! "
Feilres nodded before he lunged, raising his sword—he swung it graciously, flames erupted from his sword as he stepped inside the circle of the monsters.
The two icewolf immediately noticed him, they immediately skidded backwards to avoid his strikes—only for the chains on the ground stopping them.
"One" Feilres plunged his sword straight at the icewolf’s neck, it made a choking sound before it fell hard on the ground.
"Hey watch out! " his head turned way too late, the minotaur had already broken through from the chains and was already upon him!
It raised its massive fist before it hurled straight at Feilres chest.
The sound of metals clanging echoed around them as Feilres took a step back. There was a blood dripping down his mouth.
"Hey that’s careless! " Haslien yelled at him from afar.
"Just focus on the minotaur, I’ll deal with the icewolf first." He said, wiping the blood in his mouth.
"Okay"
Feilres shifted his stance, then he charged straight at the wolf still being restrained by the chains. The sword gleamed as he thrusted it forward. The icewolf roared one last time before it’s body crumpled, blood dying the white snow.
"Now let’s finish this" Feilres entire stance changed, the carefree posture he had earlier vanished. His grip on the sword tight.

=Dance of the Bright Dawn=
He lunged himself straight towards the minotaur. He need to finish it quickly, or else the minotaur’s trait: The Berserker will appear.
The sword in his hands exploded violently, the golden flames dancing with the strong wind as he swung it in a wide arc.
The minotaur raised it’s hands to block, but the sword strikes were far too powerful. Both of it’s arms were severed cleanly, then it’s head followed.
’This is taxing, I can’t even do the first form properly’ Feilres clenched his teeth.
"At last we’re done! " Haslien ran towards him.
Feilres’ eyes sharpened, his sword roared once more before he charged straight at Haslien.
Haslien’s instincts screamed at her, she immediately deployed a barrier made of holy magic.
____________
"Why are you doing this, Feilres! " a woman with black hair tied in a ponytail shouted, her emerald eyes gleaming with mana.
"Why not? Your side had always been a thorn for the royalties, crippling you here will be the safest option for the sake of the empire." Feilres stated casually, the sword in his hands was covered in golden flames.
"You’re really spouting nonsense ever since earlier." Haslien bit on her lower lip, she already knew the outcome. After all, she was the weakest among the class-A students.
"Let’s stop dragging this out, other people might come." Feilres raised his sword, the golden flames around him melted the snow effortlessly.
’Divine Flame’ an affinity exclusive only to the Royal family, they were all born with the body constitution to withstand the sun’s flame—in which became known as the divine flame; the strongest fire affinity ever recorded by scholars.
’Turn me into a cripple? Don’t make me laugh! I’ve spent my whole life like a slave obediently obeying the Pope. And yet you’re telling me you want to take away the freedom I have in this academy?!’ A low and dangerous smile appeared on her face.
"Let’s see about that" she then raised her hand up to the sky.
"Holy mother of the enlightened, grant your feeble believer a power to stand before threats; I offer you my complete—" before she could finish her chant, her body fell unconscious, but a hand had catched her.
"It’s too early for you idiot" Zeres appeared behind her, his expression cold as he stared sharply at Feilres.
"I remembered your invitation, I’m here to accept it"
