"Is there a fight going on there?" Vairel asked, running as fast as he could.
"I guess, that’s not a normal noise" Aeliz replied, her gaze fixed ahead.
’Where is that fucker Feilres’ she gritted her teeth, since the trial had begun, all kind of students were going against her.
"What you said earlier, is it true? " panting, Vairel raised his head, his eyes meeting hers for a second.
"It is"
"Then why didn’t I experience it?"
"Simple, you’re weaker than him, he doesn’t see you as a threat." Her lips curled "Or maybe he saw you as an obedient dog" she sneered.
"Now shut up, you’re the one who insisted on going together so shut your mouth, I need to focus." Aeliz then increased her speed, blue lightning crackled beneath her boots.
’A dog? ’ Vairel’s eyes sharpened. Being treated as a dog made his stomach churn, but what could he do? He’s just a Duke’s son—not the empire’s prince.
"Seriously I want to kill that fucker, I couldn’t even get a proper sleep! " Aeliz threw a punch at the empty air. Just the memory of that fucker showing a fake goodwill towards them made her want to puke.
Just then, the sensation of stepping into something soft made her head stare down.
"Let’s see what monsters are here, Uhh, what’s your name again? " she turned her head at Vairel.
"Vairel"
"Ok then, Vairel, let’s party ways here" Aeliz wave her hands then she sprinted amidst the snowfield.
’She doesn’t even know my name? ’ Vairel’s brow twitched, his jaws clenching before a breath escaped through his mouth.

Feilres stared at the massive forsaken before them, his shoulders tense; it was his first time going against a forsaken of higher rank than him.
’Atleast they’re here’ his eyes drifted towards Zeres. According to the observation, his rank was the same or higher than the prodigy of the Azure tower.
’He’s on different level, I wonder where he came from’
"I won’t be of much help but my flames can deal serious damage to it." Feilres turned at Zeres. "Buy me some time."
"Got it" Zeres nodded immediately, he really wanted to know this prince’s level.
Well, he isn’t wrong, the flame the Mersell Royal family have was, in essence a combination of light magic and fire magic. And forsakens are quite weak to light magic.
"Play with me for a bit will you? I need to make the prince shine in this trial you see." He then flew up high in the sky.
Zeres turned to Feilres, he was slowly releasing all of his mana reserves.
Just then, a thought crossed his mind. ’Having a good connection with Feilres was as good as the empire’s knight commander.’
A faint smile appeared on his face. "Indeed, connection hahaha."
The huge black- figure opened it’s maws, massive white sharp teeths appeared, it’s tongue extended in an awkward manner—then it head straight at Feilres standing far away from them.
"You can sense danger? "
"Wow, I’m hurt—you’re prioritizing others while I’m before you." Zeres wiped the invisible tears on his eyes.
"That’s an awful acting" a woman’s soft voice echoed, then a tree root emerged from the ground, it then coiled around the tongue of the Dreadspawn.
"I thought you’re not helping? " Zeres’ brow arched while he stared at the purple-haired woman, she stood at a thin tree branch.
Helize’s eyes narrowed, her gaze fixed on the Dreadspawn. "Here it comes" she said flatly.
"H-hu-m-mans, d-del-lic-cious!" The Dreadspawn screeched, multiple black tentacles appeared behind his back, then it violently destroyed all the trees before it.
"Feilres how much time do you need?" Zeres asked, his gaze focused on the towering Dreadspawn before them.
"Five minutes will be enough"
Zeres flapped his wings, his long white hair fluttered from the strong wind. He stretched his hands out, claw appearing on his hands before he swung it fiercely.
"L-let m-me e-eat h-hu-m-man fleshhh!!! " the forsaken ran straight at Zeres, it met the strike head-on, a black light enveloping it’s whole body as Zeres’ strike didn’t reached him.
"Unique skill? " A smile tugged at Zeres lips. "This might be more fun that I thought."
Unique skill, forsakens started to gain them once they reached the level of Ravager. But controlling it is a different matter, it requires sentience from the forsaken, a will or consciousness to use it.
But the weakness of unique skill of forsakens is if the name of the skill or how it works was figured out—defeating them will be quite easy.
"Is it a defense-type unique skill? " Zeres sound his arms, massive red clawmarks appeared, charging straight at the Dreadspawn.
The sound of something cracking echoed as Zeres’ attack destroyed the barrier. The forsakens huge body wobbled, before it fell hard on the ground.
"Huh? It’s over already? " he scratched the back of his neck.
Mist erupted, preventing Zeres to see clearly.
Just then, his instincts screamed. Then he flew up higher immediately.
In an instant, a massive black fist was already upon him. The Dreadspawn was smiling, but there was something different—it looked like a human! And it’s massive body was filled with muscles.
"Fuck, so it’s a clone huh—no wonder the pulse of mana from the essence is so weak." A low, faint smile tugged at his lips, then he was sent hurling down the ground.
"H-humans Deli-cious" the Dreadspawn smiled, it’s massive white teeth made shone, then he began to run.
"I really want to kill you, but I’ll have to give it to Feilres, his position at the succession war is already dire, so I’ll help him." Zeres stood up from his knees. The wings on his back was already gone, his clothes torn at the sides from the battle he had against the class-B earlier.
’How did Haslien do it? ’ he cocked his head to side. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
"Ahh, right" he extended his arms, palms stretchef out.
"Blood restraint" he chanted.
Then massive deep red chains erupted from the ground, they coiled around the calves and shot straight at the arms of the Dreadspawn. Suspending it’s movements fully.
"Feilres, time’s up"
