A month later.

These days Itsuki was finally able to get his thoughts in his order, Instead of viewing Kushina as a 'Waifu', he decided to treat her as a normal person.

'Maybe a slightly stronger and emotionally volatile normal person'

Although he was a little bit discouraged he still retained his resolve after seeing a slight change in Kushina's attitude.

Although she didn't talk to him, she no longer treated him with hostility, and although she stayed inside her room most of the time she would still come out to eat the meals he had prepared.

Thus his diminishing spirit was once again aroused, If he couldn't be Kushina's man then at least he had to be Naruko's father.

"The supplies at home are running out, what should I do "

Itsuki lay on the sofa, lost in thought.

He still had his parent's savings and could use them for a while, but that wasn't ideal, as that money would run out in a while.

He needed a way to earn money.

After thinking about it for a while, Itsuki decided to open a small restaurant, that could be run by him without hiring any additional help.

For that he needed to procure funds, his savings weren't enough, so Itsuki decided to take a loan.

Itsuki was confident in paying back the money because he knew many popular dishes from his previous world which would be a hit among customers.

With renewed determination, Itsuki went to the kitchen to cook breakfast and after serving everything, he called Kushina over to eat.

After a few minutes, Kushina came downstairs and sat down at the table to eat, not before nodding toward Itsuki.

But she noticed that he was deep in his thoughts, She was curious and wanted to ask him but didn't know how to go about it.

Thus she just ended up finishing her meal in silence and leaving for her room after cleaning her dishes.

"Thank You"

not before thanking him in a low voice, which Itsuki failed to register due to him being lost in his thoughts.

The next day.

Itsuki was currently deciding on which dishes to include in the menu for his new restaurant.

After racking his brain and recalling all the recipes he knew, he was able to create a menu he was satisfied with.

Itsuki had a look of satisfaction on his face while looking at the menu, he also decided to practice making all those dishes so he wouldn't fumble while cooking for customers.

Kushina was in her room taking care of Naruko and engrossed in her thoughts as usual.

She could feel that she was slowly getting used to Itsuki's presence, she couldn't call him a friend but at least she didn't dislike him as before.

Suddenly Kushina was brought out of her reverie by a sudden aroma, she couldn't help but swallow her saliva, but Kushina quickly shook out of it and went back to taking care of Naruko.

But she couldn't concentrate as her mind wandered off to the source of that delicious smell.

Finally, after getting enough of the curiosity, Kushina decided to find out what was happening.

So she went downstairs, after coming down she could hear noises from the kitchen, she was curious as to what was happening.

Kushina moved towards the kitchen slowly and when she reached the entrance she was dazed for a moment.

She saw Itsuki with an apron around his clothes cooking.

If it was just that she wouldn't have lost her composure, because as annoying as it was for her to admit it she had to admit the fact that Itsuki was very good-looking.

Especially right now while wearing an apron he gave a special feeling, but if that was all then it wasn't enough for her to lose her composure.

The reason why she was dazed was due to the expression he had on his face.

She could see the pure smile on his face while he was cooking, it looked like he was doing something he enjoyed and this smile seemed to heal those who gazed upon him.

After a few seconds, Kushina snapped out of it and an embarrassed blush came upon her face. Luckily his back was turned to her or she would have been more embarrassed.

She didn't disturb him and just stood there watching him cook because strangely enough, she found it very attractive.

....

Itsuki was humming while cooking. And if one observes him they will realize he was in a good mood.

How could he not be? After trying to practice those dishes from his memory, he felt that he was doing a very good job. He also felt like his skills were getting better.

That would mean good news for his new restaurant as it boosted his confidence in cooking up delicious dishes.

Currently, he was making a Crisp roast duck.

And if going by the smell then this dish should be good.

After the dish was finished, Itsuki turned around to place the dish on the table but his movements froze as he noticed someone standing at the entrance of the room.

Itsuki looked towards Kushina who was also staring at him with a blank stare.

While some might be weirded out by her gaze, Itsuki didn't as Kushina didn't show much emotion to him, and although there was no hostility she was still a little cold.

He didn't take it to heart, and Kushina also came at the perfect time.

He needed someone to taste the dishes to give him an honest opinion and he was planning on serving it to Kushina anyway.

Kushina was a little embarrassed when she was noticed by Itsuki. She was a little too engrossed in his figure and was in a daze.

But she didn't show her embarrassment on her face other than the fact that her cheeks were a little red.

"Kushina-san would you mind tasting this dish " Itsuki asked with a smile.

Itsuki's sudden question brought Kushina out of her thoughts, and she glanced at the dish on the table.

It smelled and looked tasty at the same time, how much she wanted to just gobble it up, but she still wanted to maintain her image.

So she just gave a soft 'Un' in response and picked up a fork to taste the dish.

When she put a piece of meat in her mouth, Kushina felt her head go blank. She wanted to let out a sigh of satisfaction but she still held herself back.

But her hands weren't slow, she started wolfing down the food at a fast pace.

*Clang*

She only stopped after the noise of her fork colliding with the empty plate resounded in the room.

Kushina was utterly embarrassed, she felt like finding a ditch to hide herself.

Kushina felt her face was a little hot.

"pfft"

A chuckle resounded in the now silent room causing Kushina to glare at the culprit of the noise.

Itsuki suppressed his laugh and tried his best not to smile, but it was really hard because he was able to see another side of her apart from the cold demeanor.

"Sorry Kushina-san, But how is the food? Did it taste good?" Itsuki apologized for laughing at her and asked her opinion on the food.

"It's good," Kushina said in a calm tone.

Hearing her sincere words Itsuki couldn't help but smile.

Suddenly Kushina pushed her plate towards him as if she was pointing out something.

Kushina's face was a little red and she had her eyes closed.

Itsuki was stunned for a few moments, but then he smiled, and without saying anything he picked her plate up and filled it with food, and served it to her.

Kushina picked up the plate but she was too embarrassed to look at him so she had her head lowered.

"Thank You"

Itsuki heard her mosquito-like voice and it brought a happy smile to his face.

How he wished these peaceful days would continue.

So I read a few Chapters in the raw and I can't stand the MC.

Mc thinks he's a chad but he's just a Walmart wannabe chad. The dude is just downright delusional, he's just a normal civilian trash but he disdains Kushina's status as a widow and vows to make her beg under his crotch.

I wonder where his confidence comes from, is it his China-man charm or something, dude is so confident in making her beg underneath him, how?

He even made Uncle Teuchi a 5th rate villain,
