Leon looked at them, stunned. "What the heck do you mean by a bond?"

"Master, let me explain." Frenrir stepped forward.

Both he and Noira had already returned to their human forms. Strangely, despite transforming into giant beasts earlier, their clothes remained completely intact.

Leon noticed it. But with a Demon about to unleash chaos nearby, he had far more pressing concerns than wondering how their clothes survived transformation.

Frenrir continued. "A bond is a pact between two parties. One becomes the master, while the other becomes a servant, follower, or companion."

He paused briefly. "When humans force beasts to obey them, it’s called beast taming. But that kind of relationship is much weaker. A true bond can only be formed if both parties willingly agree from the bottom of their hearts. And because of that... Both parties receive enlightenment when the bond is formed."

Noira nodded. "That’s why I’m asking for this so desperately."

Her gaze drifted toward the demon in the distance. "Frenrir and I were sealed for a very long time. Almost all of our strength has faded away. We need to cultivate again to return to our peak."

A bitter smile appeared on her face. "But there is no spiritual energy in this world. And with an opponent like that..."

Her eyes locked onto the demon.

"We don’t have time."

She looked back at Leon. "A bond is our best option. It will strengthen all of us. Maybe not enough to kill the demon... But at the very least, we’ll have a chance to stand against it."

Leon fell silent. ’Forming a bond, huh?’ He looked at Frenrir and Noira.

A look of relief flashed across Noira and Frenrir’s faces. Noira raised her left hand. She flicked her fingers open, her nails elongating instantly, becoming sharp as claws.

She cut open her right palm. Blood immediately flowed from the wound.

"Make your left palm bleed, Master."

Leon nodded. With a thought, he summoned one of the Raging Inferno’s Wings. The crimson dagger materialized in his hand.

The moment it appeared, a subtle heat wave spread through the surroundings.

Most people failed to notice it.

The demon didn’t. Its head snapped toward Leon instantly. Its three eyes widened.

"That dagger...

No...

Impossible."

A hint of disbelief flashed through its eyes.

"Is it a fake as well?"

Meanwhile, Leon sliced open his left palm without hesitation. A sharp pain shot through his hand. But after tempering his body through endless fire and poison, such pain was insignificant to him.

Blood flowed freely from the wound. Noira stepped forward. She grabbed Leon’s hand and pressed her bleeding palm against his.

Their fingers intertwined.

"Master. Now we must say the word ’Bond’ at the same time."

Leon nodded. The two looked at each other.

Their attention focused on each other’s lips.

Waiting.

Watching.

Then...

"Bond." They spoke in perfect unison. Nobody was late. It was as though they had done this countless times before.

The instant the word left their mouths, the blood connecting their palms began to intertwine.

The blood vanished.

At the same moment...

The sky changed.

Dark clouds gathered overhead. Lightning crackled across the heavens.

Every hunter instinctively looked up. Even the demon raised its head.

The clouds churned violently. Thunder roared. Jagged bolts of lightning zigzagged across the sky.

A brilliant beam of light tore through the sky.

It descended from above like divine judgment. And landed directly on Leon.

The brilliant pillar of light gradually faded.

Noira released Leon’s hand. Leon lowered his head and slowly clenched his fist. His eyes widened slightly.

Noira stepped forward. Her body blurred. She leaped into the air. Then spun.

Her leg crashed into the demon’s side with overwhelming force.

A violent shockwave erupted from the impact. The demon was blasted away like a cannonball. Its body tore through the air before crashing into the distance.

Noira landed gracefully. Her eyes never left the demon. Then she glanced toward Frenrir.

"Make it quick." Her voice was calm but urgent.

Only then did she turn toward Leon.

"Master. Let me handle it for now."

The next moment...

Whoosh!

The ground shattered beneath her feet. She shot toward the demon at incredible speed.

Frenrir watched her leave before shifting his gaze back to Leon. His expression was unusually serious.

"Master." He stepped forward.

"It’s my turn now. Please allow me to form a bond with you as well."
