I Can Level Up Infinitely

After witnessing what had just happened, nobody could tell where reality ended and nightmares began.

Horror filled every face.

"Guild Master... watch out..." Someone whispered. She was too terrified to raise her voice, yet she could clearly sense the danger Archie was in.

Archie staggered backward. "H-How... How is this possible?" His voice sounded distant, almost dazed.

The demon slowly turned its head toward him.

Then...

Whoosh!

Its tail lashed out like a whip.

Slash!

Archie’s body was sent flying through the air.

A deep, bloody wound tore across his chest.

But the demon wasn’t finished.

It rared its head back. Then thrust it forward.

A white beam of energy erupted from its mouth and shot straight toward Archie.

"No!" Multiple voices rang out at once.

Every one of them belonged to members of Archie’s guild. They knew exactly what would happen if that beam hit him. S-Class or not...

Death was the only outcome.

But just as the beam was about to reach Archie’s airborne body...

A wall of ice suddenly materialized out of nowhere.

It appeared directly between Archie and the incoming attack.

BOOOOOOM!

A deafening explosion echoed across the battlefield. The ice wall shattered instantly.

Countless fragments scattered through the air.

Yet that brief moment was enough.

Oliver, the Guild Master of the Domineering Rhino Guild, had already moved. Like a golden streak, he shot forward and grabbed Archie before pulling him out of the beam’s path. Only after reaching a safe distance did he stop.

Oliver glanced toward Leon, who stood not far away.

Then he gave a slight nod.

It was Leon. He had conjured the ice wall at the very last second.

Under normal circumstances, such a feat would have left everyone stunned.

A swordsman..A weapon summoner.

And now an ice mage as well.

Many of the hunters present had witnessed Leon’s abilities back at the Bowen Estate. At the time, they had dismissed what they saw as part of an illusion the assassin named Bravo had created.

Now they knew the truth.

It wasn’t an illusion at all.

Yet nobody spoke. Nobody looked impressed. Nobody showed even the slightest hint of astonishment. Because at this moment, only two questions occupied their minds.

’What the hell is that thing?’

’Can we even get out of this alive?’

Those questions gnawed at their hearts like a disease. After all...

How were they supposed to defeat a creature that had regenerated from nothing more than scattered chunks of flesh? Was there even a way to kill it? The more they thought about it, the more hopeless the situation seemed.

Jasper stopped beside Stanley.

"Mr. Cooper, you’re the only one who can stop that thing now." His expression was grim. "Please take action. Otherwise, many hunters are going to die."

Stanley slowly removed his coat. A deep, oppressive aura surged from his body.

"I’m going to take action, yes." His eyes never left the demon. "But even I can’t kill it."

Jasper frowned. "What do you mean?"

"What’s lacking isn’t strength. It’s technique."

He slowly clenched his fist. "We need Demon Slayers to deal with something like that."

"Demon Slayers?"

"Yes." Stanley nodded. "Do you have any way to contact the person who visited the Hunter Association two years ago from Summitas Valley? The one who caused a scene because she wanted to enter the Delvan Tower alone?"

Jasper blinked. Then realization dawned on him. "You mean that psycho with black-bluish hair who was always chewing bubble gum?" A strange expression appeared on his face. "She stayed in my guild for three months before leaving. Said she wasn’t interested in low-level dungeons."

His lips twitched. "According to her, they were too boring."

Stanley’s gaze remained fixed on the demon.

"That’s her."

Jasper’s expression became serious once more. "But what does she have to do with this?"

"She knows how to deal with creatures like this." Stanley’s voice was firm. "Contact her immediately. At this moment, she’s the only person capable of killing that demon."

Jasper nodded. "Alright, Mr. Cooper. I’ll contact her right away. But even if I reach her and she agrees to come, it’ll take time. At least five or six hours."

He looked toward the demon. "What are we supposed to do until then?"

Stanley rolled up his sleeves. "You don’t need to do anything." A faint smile appeared on his face. "I’ll entertain it until then."

Jasper’s eyes widened.

"Mr. Cooper..."

"In the meantime, have Oliver and Archie evacuate everyone. The fewer casualties, the better."

Just then, a familiar voice interrupted them.

"No, Grandpa." Jessica rushed over, her face filled with anxiety.

"You can’t fight." She grabbed his arm. "The doctors specifically forbade you from using mana."

Stanley looked at her. Then he smiled.

"Silly girl." He gently patted her head. "I know what I’m doing. But if I don’t step forward... Not just me. Nobody is leaving this place alive today."

Jessica’s eyes immediately became red. "But..."

"I’ll be careful." Stanley interrupted softly. "Don’t worry."

"But..." Tears began gathering in Jessica’s eyes.

Stanley sighed. "No but, Jessica. As hunters, it’s our duty to protect people. You haven’t forgotten what I taught you, have you?"

Jessica opened her mouth. Then closed it again.

No words came out.

Because she already knew. Once Stanley Cooper made a decision, nobody could change his mind. Not even her. Slowly, she lowered her head and clenched her fists.

Stanley looked ahead toward the demon.

Then...

He began walking forward. One step. Then another. Slowly, the ground beneath him started to tremble. At first, it was barely noticeable. Then the tremors grew stronger.

Small stones began vibrating across the battlefield.

The air itself seemed to grow heavier, as though it could sense the chaos that was about to unfold.

Meanwhile, far from the battlefield, Frenrir climbed out of a massive crater. His body was covered in blood.

The slap from the demon had left him in a miserable state. Yet despite his injuries, his eyes still burned with rage.

Just as he was about to charge back into battle...

A rift suddenly appeared beside him. The space distorted. Then Noira stepped out.

"Noira!" Relief flashed across his face. "You’re alright." He released a sigh of relief.

Noira, however, looked anything but relieved.

Her expression was grave. "Frenrir, where is Master? We need to stop him from fighting that demon."

She clenched her fists. "Its rank..."

"I know." Frenrir cut her off. His expression darkened.

"It’s a Rank 3 Demon."

Noira fell silent. Frenrir’s gaze shifted toward Leon, standing in the distance. "Master isn’t in any condition to fight something like that. He hasn’t even comprehended Demon-Purging Aura yet."

For a moment, neither of them spoke. Then Frenrir let out a bitter laugh.

"But... You know him."

A trace of helplessness appeared on his face. "He’ll never turn his back on a fight, especially when innocent lives are at stake... It doesn’t matter whether he has his memories or not.

It’s in his blood.

It’s who he has always been."
