It dawned on Sharon Lowe, and she instantly felt like she’d been played.

"Eve Vaughn, you did this on purpose!"

Sharon Lowe rushed over, pointing at her. "You tricked me into coming here on purpose, didn’t you? You just wanted to humiliate me, to show me that my mom works as a housekeeper in your home!"

Sharon Lowe was trembling with rage. She was utterly mortified. What Eve Vaughn did made her feel as if she’d been stripped naked and thrown onto the street for everyone to laugh at.

Eve Vaughn shrugged. "You can’t blame me. You were the one who insisted on coming with me to get money from home, weren’t you?"

Mrs. Linton froze and asked Sharon Lowe, "What money were you getting from Miss Vaughn?"

Sharon Lowe exploded at her mother, "What do you think? The bags and clothes! This is all your fault! You’re so useless, working as a housekeeper in someone else’s house and making me a laughingstock."

In her agitation, she shoved Mrs. Linton hard to the side.

Mrs. Linton fell onto the tiled floor, struggling to push herself back up.

Seeing this, Eve Vaughn rushed over and helped Mrs. Linton to her feet.

Eve Vaughn said coldly, "Even now, you still think you did the right thing? Sharon Lowe, believe it or not, I can call the police right now. Your livestream videos are the evidence—proof that you stole my things!"

Eve Vaughn then turned her icy gaze toward Sharon Lowe.

Because Eve had just threatened to call the police, Sharon was now panicking. All her previous bravado was gone, and she didn’t even dare to meet Eve Vaughn’s eyes.

"Sharon Lowe, what are you going to do?" Eve Vaughn asked. "You have two options. One, I call the police. Two, you write a letter of guarantee, explaining the cause and effect of you stealing my bags and clothes, and promise you will never do it again."
