"Shut up!"

Tristan Sterling roared.

Connor Grant fell silent and took two steps back.

’A lid for every pot, indeed,’ he couldn’t help but grumble to himself. ’One refuses to talk, and the other refuses to listen. They’re both stubborn as mules!’

Tristan Sterling stared coldly at the woman glaring daggers at him, the corner of his mouth curling into a cruel arc.

But he caught her wrist in mid-air.

He leaned in close to her lips, his every word chilling and sinister.

While presenting herself as caring, she didn’t forget to take a jab at Holly Sinclair.

"Don’t mention her!"

As expected, Tristan Sterling snapped.

Most men were more petty than they let on.

Especially a man like Tristan, who was used to controlling everything. For something like being cheated on, he had zero tolerance.

So even if he didn’t love Holly Sinclair, he still couldn’t stand seeing her being intimate with any other man.

Vivian Linton felt a sudden chill emanating from the man beside her and was satisfied.

She decided to press her advantage—

Holly Sinclair, her face as white as a sheet, practically stumbled as she ran toward her brother’s hospital room.

Half an hour ago, she had received a call from her aunt.

Her brother’s condition had suddenly taken a turn for the worse.

"Auntie!"

Holly burst into the room and saw a tearful Isabella Sinclair.

Her heart immediately sank.

A powerful sense of unease washed over her.

A doctor was in the room, but it wasn’t her brother’s attending physician, Ian Quincy.

"Doctor, what’s wrong with my brother?"

Holly forced herself to remain calm as she stepped forward and asked.

"The patient has a cerebral hemorrhage and needs surgery as soon as possible," the doctor said gravely.

"Then operate!" Holly’s eyes filled with tears. She clenched her fists so tightly she could barely stand, her body shaking with panic.

Her grandfather was still in the ICU, and now her brother was in danger...

’What am I going to do!’

"This surgery is very high-risk. Not just any doctor can perform it. Right now, Dr. Quincy is the only one in our hospital who can. If he performs it, the success rate is at least eighty percent," the doctor said with a frown, his expression somewhat peculiar.

"Then have Dr. Quincy do it!"

Holly cried out urgently.

She had great faith in Ian Quincy.

The hospital had previously said her brother might never wake up, but under Ian Quincy’s care, his condition had improved, and there was finally hope he would regain consciousness.

She had thought her brother was on the verge of waking up, only for this emergency to strike.

She added a cold reminder, "Tristan is very angry right now!"

Holly froze.

She knew.

When Brandon was taken away by the police, she and Tristan had clashed and parted on bad terms.

The ugly look on his face as he left was still fresh in her memory.

Vivian Linton sneered, holding her head high, feeling as though she’d finally had her moment of triumph. "You’ll have to face the consequences!"

Holly’s heart was burning with anxiety.
