Vivian Linton cried out, her face a mask of disbelief and distress.

All eyes turned to her.

"??" Holly Sinclair raised an eyebrow, giving Vivian Linton a look that wasn’t quite a smile.

’Her words and expression are clearly saying I’m the one who planted the needle.’

"Miss Linton, what are you talking about?" Sonia Sutton’s brow furrowed, and her gaze on Holly Sinclair instantly turned sharp and cold.

Vivian Linton quickly covered her mouth, a panicked look on her face, and turned to grab Holly Sinclair’s hand. "Holly, I believe you. It definitely wasn’t you—"

Tristan Sterling bellowed, reaching out to steady the wobbling Vivian Linton.

Vivian Linton fell right into his arms, her eyes red and welling with tears as if she’d been deeply wronged.

Holly Sinclair scoffed, looking at her as if she were a complete idiot. "If it was me, why would I have been the one to tell Miss Sutton to check the horse in the first place?"

"Besides, Miss Sutton and I have no history, no grudge. What reason would I have to harm her?"

"Well..." Megan Grayson faltered, rendered speechless by Holly’s questions.

She instinctively glanced at Vivian Linton.

Living up to Megan Grayson’s expectations, Vivian Linton immediately choked out in a pained voice, "I’m sorry, Holly. I didn’t mean to expose you, I just... I really don’t want to see you go further down this wrong path..."

"So I suppose I should thank you for your kind intentions?" Holly Sinclair sneered.

Every word dripped with sarcasm.

"Holly, I know you’re angry, but this is serious. As your best friend, covering for you would only be hurting you," Vivian Linton said, her expression one of heartfelt, nagging concern.

It was a calculated move to make Holly Sinclair seem ungrateful.

Hearing the two words "best friend," Holly Sinclair’s face instantly turned to ice.

"Vivian Linton, can you please stop trying to sicken me with those two words, ’best friend’?"

Tears instantly streamed down Vivian Linton’s face as she trembled in Tristan Sterling’s arms.

Realizing she’d overreacted, Kiera Jacobs quickly tried to recover. "If this gets out, it’ll be bad for the resort’s reputation. Since we already know what happened, let’s just do what Miss Grayson suggested. Blacklist her so she can never work in this industry again."

This resort was one of Sonia Sutton’s properties.
