Caught completely off guard, Vivian Linton took two hard slaps to the face.

Her ears rang, and her vision swam.

"What did I do?" Vivian Linton shed aggrieved tears.

"What did you say to him?" Holly Sinclair pointed at Manager Langdon and demanded sharply.

"I didn’t say anything! He tried to assault me earlier and tore my clothes. I was so scared I ran out. But then I thought you’d be in danger when you came back, so I quickly called Tristan, and we rushed right over."

Vivian Linton explained through her tears.

After telling Manager Langdon that Holly Sinclair liked to take shortcuts, she had left the private room with the other three studio heads, signed contracts in hand.

"That’s not—" Manager Langdon felt like he’d been struck by lightning, overcome by the panic of being unable to defend himself.

"These bruises on my body and my torn clothes, did I do this to myself? And as for you claiming I told you Holly likes shortcuts, what proof do you have that I said it? You’re clearly just trying to shift the blame!"

Vivian Linton argued back, her expression open and righteous.

"Open your damn eyes and look carefully! Miss Sinclair is our Second Master’s wife!" Disgusted by the blood all over his head, Connor Grant slammed it back down onto the floor.

Manager Langdon knew he was in deep trouble. He kowtowed to Holly Sinclair repeatedly, begging with tears and snot streaming down his face.

"Okay," Brandon Sterling nodded, staying close by her side.

Vivian Linton leaned her entire body against him, pressing a hand to her forehead. "I’m a little dizzy and nauseous," she choked out, looking utterly pitiful. "I wonder if I have a concussion..."

The implication was that Holly’s two slaps were the cause.

But his cold, sharp gaze remained fixed on the retreating backs of Holly Sinclair and Brandon Sterling.
