A strange scene unfolded on the main street: a bizarre, ugly bird was perched on the shoulder of a youth in a black robe.

The ugly bird was chubby and, aside from two feathers on its wings and a small tuft of black down on its head, was basically naked.

This ugly bird was chattering away excitedly.
