Shen Yu stopped laughing. The silence that followed was heavy, broken only by the whistling of the wind through the ravine and the frantic, shallow gasps of the man on the floor. He looked down at Peng Kai, his red eyes shimmering with a secret, jagged mirth. A massive grin spread across his tanned, scarred face, revealing teeth that looked far too sharp for a human.

"You will see him when the time comes, little bird," Shen Yu purred, his voice a low, vibrating rumble that seemed to emanate from the very earth. "When the stage is set and the world is screaming, he will reveal himself to you. For now, know only that he is the shadow that eclipses the sun. He is the one who took pity on a dog like you."

’And you’ll recognize him,’ Shen Yu thought, his demonic soul savoring the delicious irony, ’by the sound of your wife’s moans as I claim everything you ever loved right before your eyes. You’ll worship the hand that pets you, never knowing it’s the same hand that slit your clan’s throat.’

"For now," Shen Yu barked, his boisterous persona snapping back into place as he pulled a fresh wine gourd from his storage ring. "Let’s drink to the carnage! To the blood that will water the earth and the fire that will consume your enemies!"

He tossed the heavy gourd to Peng Kai. The Patriarch caught it with a desperate, hysterical laugh, his fingers digging into the leather. He uncorked it and began to guzzle the burning, pungent liquid, letting it spill down his chin and soak his blood-stained robes. He drank like a man trying to drown his soul in wine before the demonic manual could devour what was left of it.

Shen Yu watched the broken Patriarch drink with the desperation of a man trying to drown his soul. His own laughter erupted, a raucous, echoing roar of pure, demonic joy that seemed to physically push the spectral fog out of the ravine. He had done it. He had taken the cooling embers of a ruined man and breathed a dark, consuming fire into them.

A few moments later, the combination of the potent wine and the onset of the demonic technique took their toll; Peng Kai slumped over, falling into a heavy, dreamless sleep.

Shen Yu stood over the sleeping Patriarch, his shadow stretching across the damp stone like a looming monolith of dark judgment. He reached into his storage ring and withdrew a scrap of weathered parchment. On it, he had meticulously sketched a map leading to the hidden inheritance cave in the Mist Forest, the very cradle of his awakening in this world.

Beside the map, he had scrawled a set of absolute, ironclad instructions:

"Stay within the shadows of the Mist. Consume. Cultivate. Grow. Do not cross the perimeter of the treeline, and above all, do not suffer the presence of another human. To be seen is to be hunted; to be found is to die. Become the monster the forest demands."

He slid the paper into Peng Kai’s blood-stained robes. "Go there, little bird," he whispered. "Grow strong in my cradle. I have use for a monster like you."

He turned and strode out of the cave, his heavy boots crunching on the stone. Outside, the atmosphere was markedly different. He found Meng Yan and Xu Yi standing side by side, their hushed, intimate conversation drifting through the moonlight.

"So you’re telling me," Meng Yan was saying, her voice a mix of awe and envy, "you can take him that deep? All the way?"

Xu Yi nodded, a faint, proud flush on her cheeks. "My Abyssal Flood Dragon bloodline makes my body naturally flexible. I can control every muscle, every curve. I can take him deeper from any angle, from any hole. Even if he increases his size or changes his form, my body will simply mold to him."

"Oh gods," Meng Yan sighed, biting her lip. "I am so jealous of you."

Shen Yu’s barbaric laughter cut through their talk as he emerged from the fog. "And what is there to be jealous of, my beauties?"

He walked forward with a predatory swagger, his massive, calloused hands reaching out to claim them. He grabbed Meng Yan’s breasts roughly, squeezing until she let out a sharp, needy gasp. "You have these soft, overflowing peaks that I could lose myself in for eternity. She has a throat that can swallow my pride whole. Every one of you has a uniqueness that I crave. There is no room for jealousy in my garden." 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

He shifted his grip, his hand moving to wrap firmly around the back of Meng Yan’s neck, pulling her face toward his scarred, demonic visage. "And if you truly want to experience the depth..." He leaned in, his red eyes burning into hers. "I can simply force my way in. It might take time, it might bring you to the edge of death, but the look of absolute ruin on your face as you take every inch of me would be priceless."

Meng Yan’s breath hitched, her eyes wide and glassy as she stared at the monster holding her. The sheer, dominant heat radiating from him made her knees buckle.

"Well," Shen Yu rumbled, releasing her with a dark smirk. "Let’s get out of this gods-forsaken hole."

He stood still for a moment, closing his eyes. Then came the wet, sickening sound of shifting anatomy. The Blood Burning Art reversed itself. His frame elongated, his bulging muscles smoothing out into lean, corded strength, and his tanned, scarred skin faded back into the pale, pristine complexion of the Golden Paragon.

Though the pain was intense enough to make a lesser man scream, Shen Yu merely gritted his teeth, savoring the sensation of his bones snapping back into their "holy" alignment.

With the mask of the Tang Savior firmly back in place, he turned his gaze toward the flickering lights of the distant city. Though his face was a portrait of saintly composure, a flicker of genuine tension tightened his chest.

His thoughts drifted to Mei Yilan. To the public, she was the heroic matriarch who had sacrificed herself to save the Golden Paragon; to Shen Yu, she was a vital piece of his board, and a woman he had grown dangerously fond of over the months he had been in this world. She had tapped into a high-level technique to fend off the Peng assassins, a gambit that often left a cultivator’s foundations shattered.

Though the primal urge to celebrate his victory with his women burned in his veins, the anxiety surrounding Yilan’s condition gnawed at him. He was becoming increasingly possessive of those in his inner circle, and the thought of his "Mother-in-law" suffering a permanent injury was unacceptable.

He had performed a cursory check on her pulse before leaving for the hunt, confirming that her life-force wasn’t in immediate peril, but the "Golden Paragon" couldn’t afford to be careless. If her core was damaged, he would need to find a way to mend it.

"We need to move faster," he said, his voice returning to that smooth, silver tone, though a sharp edge of command cut through it. "My heart will not be at ease until I see Aunt Yilan with my own eyes."

With a final look at the dark ravine, he led Meng Yan and Xu Yi back toward the city, his mind already calculating the rarest pills and techniques needed to restore a broken beauty.
