Wu Yun drove the RV through the city streets. After lunch, the group spent half a day loading the vehicle with essential drinking water and food. Wu Yun had also prepared all the seasonings and ingredients for a cookout.

After getting all that ready, Wu Yun drove to a store selling outdoor equipment. He bought a baseball bat, a camping axe, and a military shovel, placing them all within easy reach inside the RV.

Once all that was done, Wu Yun finally joked with Qi Fei and the others, "So, what’s the sleeping arrangement? I’m too scared to sleep alone!"

"Ah! I want the over-cab bunk!" Li Yao said excitedly.

"I’m sleeping with Yaoyao! Yaoyao’s mine!" Zeng Shengnan chimed in.

"I’ll take the bed in the back!" Qi Fei said, thinking the rear bed would be more convenient.

"I call the dinette booth!" Song Qin claimed her spot.

"Then where do I sleep?"

"You’re sleeping with your girl, Qi Fei!" Song Qin said with a knowing look.

A wicked grin slowly spread across Wu Yun’s face. "Okay!"

With everything ready, Wu Yun drove the RV west along National Highway 318. Their destination was a scenic campsite called Starry Camp, located just a short drive off the national highway onto a provincial road.

Wu Yun sat alone in the driver’s seat, while the four women chatted and ate snacks in the dinette booth. Every now and then, a boisterous laugh rang out—a sound that could only belong to Song Qin.

"Xiaoyunzi, open wide!" Qi Fei’s gentle voice sounded from behind Wu Yun.

Wu Yun opened his mouth and felt a strawberry being popped inside, a wave of sweetness instantly washing over him.

Another round of playful laughter and teasing erupted behind him.

The further they drove, the higher the elevation became. Mist and clouds swirled through the mountains, forcing Wu Yun to slow down as the traffic ahead began to crawl.

As the altitude rose, the temperature gradually dropped. The hinged window by the dinette had been closed, and the four women behind Wu Yun had all put on jackets.

"How much longer?" Qi Fei turned and asked, leaning over the back of the driver’s seat.

Wu Yun glanced at the GPS. "Just over ten kilometers to go. We’re almost there. I think we’ll arrive once we’re out of this fog. You go have fun with them, don’t worry about me."

Starry Camp was situated on a plateau mountain within the Ya’an region, at an altitude of over two thousand meters. Thanks to the high elevation and minimal air and light pollution, a sky full of stars was clearly visible for most of the year.

If you were lucky, you could even see a sea of clouds in the morning.

At six in the evening, Wu Yun paid the entrance and parking fees and parked the RV in a designated spot toward the edge of the lot. From there, they had a direct view of the nearby campground, the distant mist, and the lingering glow of the sunset. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Although it was a niche attraction, you could never underestimate the size of the domestic population. The campground was already half-filled with colorful tents.

The moment the RV was parked, the eager women couldn’t wait to throw open the door.

"Brr... it’s so cold!" Yiyi, who was at the front, shivered as a blast of cold air hit her.

"Quick, get back in the RV and change! Don’t catch a cold!" Wu Yun said, his eyes scanning over the women in their shorts and skirts. He paid special attention to Qi Fei, whose beautiful legs looked exceptionally long in her shorts. ’Legs for days,’ Wu Yun thought, swallowing hard.

After herding the women back into the RV, Wu Yun went to the rear of the vehicle and extended the parking stabilizers on both sides.

Next, he took out the crank rod, lowered the side awning, and propped it up. Just like that, a simple RV campsite was set up.

Wu Yun then pulled a long folding table and five folding chairs from the storage compartment, setting them up near the external kitchen area. Only then did he knock on the door and call out, "Are you all changed? I’m coming in!"

"Wait!"

Wu Yun sighed helplessly and turned to observe his surroundings.

Not far from the parking lot were two small buildings. One housed a small shop and a little cafeteria, with what was probably staff housing on the floor above.

The other building was the public restroom.

The other campers nearby watched their RV with curiosity, some with looks of envy.

Wu Yun scanned the parking lot and saw three other RVs, though they all seemed smaller than his.

"Xiaoyunzi, you can come in now!" Qi Fei opened the door and called out to him. She was standing in the doorway wearing a baseball jacket they had just bought today—the kind for spring and autumn—and had changed into a pair of jeans.

Wu Yun bounded into the RV in a few quick steps and pressed the button for the slide-out. The dinette section slowly extended outwards.

"Much more spacious! Alright, my handmaidens, now that you’re done with photos, it’s time to prepare dinner. This master is hungry!" Wu Yun ordered, acting like a rich landlord of old.

"Yes, my lord!"

After they finished the barbecue, the sky had grown dark. It was now densely packed with countless stars, and a distinct river of light—the Galaxy—stretched across the heavens. The sight was so beautiful it filled one with a sense of yearning.

Standing on the viewing platform, Wu Yun reflected that this wasn’t the first time he’d seen the magnificent Galaxy. But those other times were when he was a child, before there was so much pollution, back when you could see it just by looking up.

"I’d love to go see the Galaxy up close someday! Too bad we were born five hundred years too early." Wu Yun looked down at Qi Fei, who was standing beside him gazing up at the stars. The angle made the curve of her chin and face look exceptionally beautiful.

"Wait for me, I’m going to grab something." Wu Yun turned and ran back toward the RV, leaving the four women to trade confused glances.

A moment later, Qi Fei and the others saw Wu Yun running back with a large box in his hands.

Wu Yun stopped in front of Qi Fei and stared intently into her eyes. His gaze made her feel a little shy, and she found she couldn’t meet his eyes, her own gaze shifting to the box in his hands.

"What is this?" Qi Fei asked softly.

Wu Yun took two steps back and then suddenly shouted, "Senior! Be my girlfriend!" He then opened the box, revealing a large bouquet of roses and a smaller box he had prepared.

"Say yes!"

"Say yes!"

"Say yes!"

Song Qin and the other two women started chanting, and soon, some of the tourists who had been drawn over by Wu Yun’s shout joined in.

Qi Fei was both surprised and delighted. She had always assumed her relationship with Wu Yun would just naturally and inevitably progress until they were a couple, but she never expected him to surprise her like this.

A radiant smile bloomed on Qi Fei’s face, like a plum blossom in full bloom, captivating Wu Yun completely.

Qi Fei accepted the large bouquet of roses with both hands and said with a soft laugh, "Thank you, Xiaoyunzi! I’m very happy." Then, suddenly holding the flowers with one hand, she stepped forward, hooked her right arm around Wu Yun’s neck, and, standing on her tiptoes, gave him a quick peck on the lips, as light as a dragonfly skimming the water.

"WOOOOAHHHH~~~~" The crowd erupted in cheers.

"Kiss her again!"

"A French kiss!"

Wu Yun didn’t hesitate. He wrapped his arms around Qi Fei’s slender yet firm waist, lowered his head, and kissed her.

Beneath the distant, starry sky, the new couple was lost in their own world, completely unashamed of the crowd watching them.

A photographer in the crowd saw the scene, immediately raised his camera, and crouched down a short distance from Wu Yun and Qi Fei. The sound of a shutter clicking filled the air.
