After leaving the moon, Liam reappeared in the Dimensional Space and deactivated his exosuit. The black material flowed back into storage, leaving him in his casual clothes. He was curious to see how much progress had been made in the terraforming of what had once been a completely barren world.

The first thing Liam did was look up at the sky.

His eyes widened slightly in surprise. The monotone colored sky that had existed before—that unchanging, flat expanse that had always felt artificial—was gone. In its place stretched absolute darkness.

It looked like the void itself.

Liam understood immediately what he was seeing. The Dimensional Space was now connected to the Grand Universe. The blackness spreading across the sky wasn’t an absence of light or some atmospheric phenomenon.

It was literally the void of the Grand Universe, visible through whatever dimensional barrier had once separated this pocket dimension from the greater cosmos.

The sight was both beautiful and unsettling. Beautiful because of what it represented—a connection to something vast beyond comprehension. Unsettling because that same vastness carried implications he couldn’t fully process yet.

Liam lowered his gaze from the void-black sky and considered the changes. The visual transformation was dramatic, but he suspected there were other modifications he couldn’t see. The connection to the Grand Universe had to mean something beyond just the change of view.

And absolute protection meant that no matter how powerful an entity might be in the Grand Universe, they couldn’t harm him within this space without his permission.

That was a significant defensive advantage. A sanctuary that even cosmic-tier beings couldn’t breach.

But the most intriguing aspect was the final part—he could access the Grand Universe directly from here. No need to look for the Voidling, so that it can take him through the Infinite Dimension.

Liam smiled to himself. The transformation had created more advantages than he’d initially realized. Every piece seemed to connect to something larger, creating a web of capabilities that would take years to fully explore.

He turned his attention back to his original purpose for coming here. Due to time dilation, while less than two months had passed on Earth, more than six years had elapsed in the Dimensional Space. That was a substantial period for significant changes to occur, especially with the Heartstone of Gaia actively terraforming the environment.

But before examining the terraforming progress, there was someone else he wanted to check on.

Liam shot into the sky, accelerating smoothly as he turned toward the direction where Yanxia was consolidating her cultivation. It had been so long since she’d entered seclusion.

Well, long for the Dimensional Space’s timeline, at least. He was genuinely curious about how much she’d grown during that time.

He remembered when he’d first received the egg of a Three-Legged Golden Crow as one of his sign-in rewards.

Liam had been shocked. These creatures existed in cultivation legends as beings of supreme solar authority, divine flames incarnate, symbols of ultimate yang energy. And somehow, impossibly, one had emerged from an egg in his possession.

Yanxia. She’d become the second official member of the Scott family, bonded to him.

Liam had flown a considerable distance when he first noticed the heat.

It started as a subtle warmth against his skin, barely perceptible. But as he continued forward, the temperature increased dramatically. Within minutes, the air around him shimmered with intensity that would have sent any normal person running in the opposite direction.

Golden Core Realm cultivators would have retreated at this point. The heat had reached levels that could damage their spiritual foundations, burn through protective qi shields, and cause permanent harm to their body. Even experienced experts would recognize the danger and withdraw to a safe distance.

But Liam flew onward without concern. The tremendous heat that would cause others to flee didn’t affect him in the slightest.

This immunity came from multiple sources working in concert. First, there was his bond with Yanxia herself. Their connection allowed him to exist comfortably in her presence regardless of how intense her flames became. It was like being part of the fire rather than threatened by it.

Second, and perhaps more significantly, were two of his talents—Primordial Forge Authority and Primordial Alchemy Sovereign. Both granted him complete immunity against all types of flames. Absolute immunity. Fire simply couldn’t harm him, regardless of its source or intensity.

This was deeper, richer—the color of molten sunlight concentrated into physical form. The sphere pulsed rhythmically, its size expanding and contracting like a cosmic heartbeat.

The strength of the flame had increased dramatically compared to the last time Liam had seen it. Where before Yanxia’s consolidation fire had been impressive, now it was genuinely awe-inspiring.

The raw power radiating from that burning sphere suggested she was approaching a significant breakthrough, perhaps multiple breakthroughs, during her extended seclusion.

But despite the increased intensity and the obvious progress, it didn’t seem like Yanxia was anywhere close to emerging yet, as the flames still burned with a high level of intensity.

Liam floated there for several minutes, observing the beautiful and terrible sight of a Three-Legged Golden Crow advancing toward her true power. He smiled softly, genuine warmth mixing with pride. Yanxia had grown so much from the small creature that had emerged from that egg.

"Keep going," he said quietly, though he knew she couldn’t hear him in her current state. "Take all the time you need. I’ll be here when you’re ready."

He turned away from the burning sphere and started flying in the opposite direction, toward where he’d planted the Heartstone of Gaia. Time to see how the terraforming had progressed over six years.

Liam accelerated, pushing his flight speed to levels that would have been impossible before his transformation. His comfortable cruising speed had increased dramatically—he could now maintain more than 1,000 miles per hour without strain. At this velocity, the landscape below him blurred into streaks of color and texture.

The increased speed felt natural, effortless, like his body had always been capable of this and was only now being allowed to perform at its true capacity. Small wind rushed past him, as he cut through the air like it wasn’t there.

Minutes later, he reached the barren valley where he’d originally planted the Heartstone.

Except it wasn’t barren anymore.

Liam slowed to a hover, taking in the changes with genuine amazement. The desolate, lifeless expanse of rock and dust that had characterized this area was gone. In its place was something that actually resembled a living landscape.

A small stream now ran through the center of the valley, its water—if it could be called water—flowing with gentle purpose. On both banks, greenery had begun establishing itself. Not extensive yet, but definitely present. Small plants, grasses, even a few hardy bushes clustered near the stream where moisture and nutrients were most concentrated.

But it was the stream itself that captured Liam’s full attention.

He descended until he hovered just above the flowing liquid, close enough to examine it properly. The stream appeared to be water at first glance—it flowed like water, reflected light like water, made the same gentle sounds as it moved over rocks.

But it wasn’t water. Not exactly.

Liam could see the truth now that he was close enough. The stream was composed of liquid spirit qi. Not water infused with spirit qi, but actual liquified spiritual energy flowing like a river through the valley.

His eyes traced the stream’s path backward, following its course until he identified the source. It connected directly to the massive lake created by the Eternal Qi Vein he’d placed in the Dimensional Space.

Liam couldn’t help but chuckle at the implications. Those in the cultivation world would lose their minds if they discovered this.

If this was to ever be discovered in a region in the cultivation world, it would definitely spark a war.

Still smiling at the thought, Liam turned his attention toward the center of the valley where he’d planted the Heartstone of Gaia.

The tree growing from that spot had changed significantly.

It was still technically a sapling—nowhere near mature size—but it had grown substantially. Where before it had been barely more than a sprout with a few tender leaves, now it stood several feet tall with a trunk thick enough to wrap both hands around. The leaves were fuller, healthier, practically glowing with vitality.

Liam examined the tree closely, trying to identify what species it might be. The system had never specified exactly that a tree would grow from the spot he planted the Heartstone, only that it would serve as the core of the terraforming process.

Whatever this was, it was unique to the Dimensional Space. Or perhaps unique to Gaia itself. Who knows!

He was genuinely curious to see what it would become when it reached full maturity. Would it grow to enormous size, its branches stretching across the entire Dimensional Space? Would it produce fruit with miraculous properties? Or was its purpose purely terraforming, serving as an anchor point for life to spread outward from?

Only time would tell. Fortunately, time moved quickly here.

Liam stepped back from the tree, taking in the full scope of the valley’s transformation one more time. Six years of terraforming had created the foundations of an ecosystem. Given another six years, this might actually resemble a thriving environment rather than a nascent one.

The thought pleased him. Having a fully terraformed world within his personal dimensional space would provide countless advantages—resources, privacy, a place to train without worry of collateral damage, perhaps even a home for beings who needed sanctuary.

Since he was done checking out the Dimensional Space’s changes, Liam decided it was time to leave.

He will visit the Pagoda after he had done his sign-in but before he do that, he need to check on Chrises, then Master Han. Even after that, he still might not be free enough for that. But there’s no rush.
