The meet-up carried on with laughter and light conversations, the sound of waves outside blending softly with their voices. Though they talked about different things, one theme kept circling back again and again: Liam.

Since he was the MVP of the occasion, every story, every joke, every side comment somehow tied back to him — directly or indirectly.

After the meal was cleared, Matt leaned back in his chair, mischievous grin on his face. "Alright, I’ve been holding this in all day. Guys, you have no idea what Liam’s car collection looks like. It’s not just crazy. It’s unbelievable."

The boys perked up at once. Alex leaned forward, Harper frowned with curiosity and even Kristopher raised a brow, clearly very interested.

"What collection?" Harper asked. "We’ve only seen the McLaren, Maserati, Lamborghini and the Ghost. Don’t tell me he has more hidden away?"

Matt smirked and threw Liam a glance. "More? That’s putting it lightly. Try a garage that would make most billionaires cry."

The table erupted with noise as they all pressed for details. Matt, grinning like a devil, rattled off the names one by one — Maserati GranTurismo, Lamborghini Temerario, the Ghost Black Badge, the McLaren P1 LM variant, the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, Ferrari SF90 Stradale, and then...

"...the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet Imperium."

For a moment, there was a loud silence. Then Kristopher actually choked on his wine. Harper swore under his breath. Alex’s eyes widened like saucers.

"You’re kidding," Harper said, staring at Matt first, then Liam. "That car’s a myth. A concept that never even made production. It was supposed to be impossible."

Liam, caught under their stares, gave a small shrug. "It exists. I have it."

The boys almost shouted in disbelief.

"Explain," Kristopher demanded, half laughing, half stunned. "Now. Everything. What’s it like? What does it even have?"

He couldn’t help himself.

The girls leaned in too, their curiosity no less than the boys’, though they hid it better behind smiles.

Liam set his glass down and did his best to explain. He wasn’t much of a car enthusiast, but he described what he knew. The length of the car, the smooth lines of its body, the massive engine. He told them about the interior and how it felt more like a private lounge than a vehicle.

As he spoke, their eyes grew wider with each detail.

Alex whistled low. "You’re telling me it’s basically a rolling palace."

Liam chuckled. "Something like that."

While Liam might not understand how insane those things are because he wasn’t much of a car person, the boys do. They couldn’t help but look at Liam in a more different light.

What Liam had described about the cars are things that shouldn’t be possible with the current level of technology in Earth. They all felt that the only way Mercedes and Maybach could had created a car like that was with the help of experts. Experts connected to Liam’s family.

Also, the fact that Liam was able to get a concept car that should had just remained a concept goes a long way to say a ton about his background.

At this point, he wasn’t just someone with a hidden dynastic background, he was like someone from those ancient families in fictions

Before this, they thought they had started to understand Liam’s background. But now? Now they realized they weren’t even close. The truth was something far beyond their grasp.

Thinking about all these, they all felt shivers running down their spines.

For a brief moment, none of them spoke. They simply stared at him, their minds racing.

They felt that they might have befriend someone with not just a monster level background but beyond.

Actually if they were curious about Liam’s background before. But now? They weren’t anymore. They dare not.

But they were also happy because unlike the kind of attitude they would expect from someone with Liam’s background, he was incredibly friendly and they felt that they can relate with him

Though they dare not ask about his background, they were curious about other things, things they feel Liam might be able to tell them.

As for Liam, he remained calm and gave a small smile, unbothered by their shock. Of course he was acting, but his World-Class Etiquette skill made it look real.

It was Kristopher who finally broke the silence. He clapped once and grinned. "Well, that calls for more celebration."

Everyone jumped at the chance, nodding and raising their glasses.

"To the Imperium," Harper said jokingly, and they all laughed.

The second round of cheering washed the heaviness away, and the atmosphere lightened once more.

Matt, of course, couldn’t resist. He leaned forward with a sly look. "Hey, Liam... you got a sister? Legal age? Single? Asking for a friend. Actually—forget that. Asking for myself."

The table roared with laughter.

Even Liam couldn’t help but smile, shaking his head at Matt’s antics. "You’re impossible."

The girls rolled their eyes, though Kristie almost fell out of her chair laughing.

It was Harper who shifted the tone next. He glanced at Liam, his expression earnest. "I need to say thanks. My uncle told me you made him Managing Director of your Family Office. That’s... huge."

The laughter died instantly. The others froze, their eyes snapping to Harper, then to Liam.

"Wait," Alex said slowly. "Your uncle is Daniel Conley. He works with JP Morgan, right? One of the private bankers for the Platinum Triangle?"

"Yeah," Harper said, nodding. "That’s him."

The shock deepened. They remembered when Harper mentioned his uncle had been assigned to Liam. Later, he told them his uncle had been promoted to lead a dedicated team of private bankers just for Liam. Those were shocking, yes.

But thet were things that were still considered normal. Creating a Family Office and being its Managing Director wasn’t one of those things.

It goes beyond simply helping someone to manage their wealth to an extent and providing convenience services to make the company’s client comfortable.

This meant that Harper’s uncle was now in direct contact with someone from a dynastic background. And not just that, but he’s now in Liam’s trusted circles.

To people like them, they understood what this means. Especially with Liam’s insanely monstrous background, it meant that the Conley family was in their way to the top.

Also, the fact that Liam was creating a Family Office meant that he was probably about to start making big moves.

Thinking about this, they all felt that a massive storm was coming and because of their connection to Liam, they were now smack right in the middle of that storm.

The realization washed over them all like a wave. The yacht felt quieter for a heartbeat, as if even the sea outside held its breath.

They wanted to ask more. They wanted to pry deeper, to know just how vast Liam’s world really was. But after the car revelation and now this, they didn’t dare. Not anymore. Some truths were better left alone.

Still, the weight of it couldn’t erase their joy. They smiled again, leaned back into the cushions, and carried on with lighter talk.

Alex broke the silence next, grinning. "By the way, Liam—my dad asked me to tell you he’ll wire the $1.5 million monthly into your account for the property. The first payment will arrive in three days. He wanted me to tell you directly."

The girls’ heads whipped around again. Even the boys sat up straighter.

"$1.5 million monthly?" Kristopher repeated, with a big smile on his face.

If it was before the revelation of the car and the Family Office set up, they might had been shocked by the amount. But, that doesn’t mean that they are any less impressed about it.

Liam nodded, unfazed. "Tell your dad thank you. I really appreciate the work he’s doing."

Alex waved it off with a chuckle. "It’s nothing. Just part of the REIT. He doesn’t mind at all."

Liam smiled, but inside he felt something stir. His first rent payment. It shouldn’t have meant much, not compared to the fortune he already controlled. But it did. It reminded him of where he had started. Of how far he had come.

Still, he didn’t let it linger. Today was about this. His friends.

The conversation drifted again. They asked about his travels, his plans, even silly things like what brand of watch he preferred. They never touched his background, but everything else was fair game.

Liam answered what he could, patient and warm. And though the undercurrent of awe never vanished from their eyes, he could also see relief and gratitude on their faces. The knowledge that no matter how far he had risen, he still treated them like equals.
