Patrick raised his right hand forward, pointed at Denzel and a small ball of fire shot out from his palm towards the air and towards Denzel

Denzel was left in utter and complete shock...and for a split second, his mind went completely blank

’What the hell? How did things manage to get to this point. Up until now, magic had been nothing more than a fantasy to me, something I deemed pure fiction and existed only in stories’

’Now...someone is actually attacking me with fire...made from magic’

Denzel’s thoughts were in disarray for just a split second and the blazing fire ball still raced towards him at a terrifying speed...the heat emitted from the ball already brushing against his skin

Denzel instinctively tried to move away from the incoming fire ball that could potentially deal a large amount of damage to him

His muscles tensed while it still screamed at him to dodge but...the fireball was just too fast for him to react fast enough...way too fast

He wasn’t a trained fighter of an sort and he hasnt even fully understand what was happening in this new world yet. His mind struggling to keep as panic built up in him...

’I-I’m not going to make it‐’

And just as he was about to give up and accept his fate, a feminine voice from right beside him shouted...

"Patrick!!" It was Aisha’s voice

Her loud cry cut through the air

"Patrick! Stop that!"

Patrick’s expression shifted for a brief moment like he was questioning why...before it then changed to firm obedient face

Then, with a quick motion of his fingers...he twisted his hand towards the left and the fireball immediately changed course away from Denzel and to the left where his finger pointed

Whoosh!

Denzel stumbled backward as the fire ball curved away from him at the last second and crashed into the ground nearby

BOOM!

It made a loud sound followed by dust and sparks bursting into the air

Denzel stared at the burning crater of the ground as he was breathing heavily...although he knew the fireball would cause real damage, that was when he realised

If that attack had landed...he might not have survived it

Denzel then slowly shifted his gaze towards the direction of Patrick shocked that he would have died so easily and also confused on why this random dude that he doesn’t know from anywhere just attacked him out of the blue

Before Denzel could gather and form all his thoughts into one, Aisha stepped out from the corridor and walked towards Patrick

"Patrick, you brat!"

The moment she muttered those words with her now mean face it felt like the atmosphere shifted

Her eyes immediately scanned around looking at the damage caused by the fire ball, the injured guards that lay helpless and injured on the ground, and finally Patrick standing in the middle of it all as the sole culprit

She turned back and gazed at Denzel and saw how shaken he looked causing her expression to darken

She walked faster, her her heels clicking against the floor with anger

"Patrick" she said again with more intensity

’What the hell is she doing and why is she talking to him with such a tone, does she have a death warrant’ Denzel said visibly concerned that if Aisha continues talking like this she could be in danger

’But then again, as Aisha told him to stop he redirected the fire ball away from me...what type of relationship do the two of them have’

Aisha stopped directly in front of him while still visibly furious at everything that transpired

"Why would you throw a fireball at my guest?" She asked Patrick. "Do you have some sort of past history with him that was left unsettled?"

Patrick almost immediately opened his mouth to reply

"U-Um, no. But I-" Patrick tried to speak before Aisha cut in

"I don’t care about your reasons, that is completely improper you brat" Aisha spoke as her voice echoed through the area

"That is completely improper!"

Denzel and her guards included were frightened and nervous of Aisha’s display

"And what is all this?!" Aisha said while pointing at the guards and the damage caused by the fire ball

Denzel watched everything carefully from the side.

Just moments ago, Patrick had looked terrifying...the type of person who could casually destroy people without hesitation.

But now?

Now he looked completely different...the fierce expression that he possessed was gone

Patrick’s shoulders lowered slightly as he stood awkwardly under Aisha’s rage, almost like a child being scolded by his mother after causing trouble

"I-I’m really sorry, that was not my intention..." Patrick was speaking

From Denzel’s perspective, the change was honestly shocking

’How did it turn out like this? It looks like a mother scolding her child’ Denzel thought while Patrick was still talking

"...Mother" Patrick finished what he was saying, his tone losing the earlier arrogance

’Mother? Did I just hear correctly? He...Patrick is Aisha’s son?!’ Denzel was shocked

Patrick continued quickly before Aisha could interrupt him again...

"I came back just now after exterminating the beasts that went crazy and wild in the forest..." he explained quickly "...and just as I came back, I rushed here immediately because I wanted to report to you as fast as I could"

And then he pointed towards the guards nearby and continued

"But when I arrived, they told me you had a guest and you told them not to let any one at all inside...I understand that they are doing their job but what guest could be more important than me seeing you"

Denzel blinked slowly still flabbergasted and barely able to keep with the twist this situation just took

And Patrick continued passionately.

"Nothing can stop me from meeting you, Mother and I want the whole world to know that"

Several guards Denzel included cringed hearing that.

"So I tried to enter," Patrick said defensively. "But they blocked me again."

His expression became wronged.

"So...I beat them up a little."

"A little?!" one of the guards shouted angrily from the ground.

Patrick pointed at him immediately.

"You attacked first!"

"You kicked me through a wall!"

"You were in the way!"

Aisha’s eye twitched.

"Patrick."

Instant silence.

Even Denzel stiffened slightly hearing her tone, he forgot how frightening Aisha could be to normal people

Patrick immediately lowered his head again.

"Sorry...But who is this random civilian that made you keep even me from entering the house" Patrick asked

"Him..." Aisha said as he pointed at Denzel

"He is a recent employee that was working in the house so I told the guards to not let anyone in so they won’t interfere with the work" Aisha explained

"Oh, is that so...I’m sorry about that then, I didn’t try to grasp the situation. Let me go apologise to him"

As Patrick was done talking, he moved towards where Denzel was still sprawled on the floor and stretched out his hands to help lift Denzel up

"I’m sorry about that dude" he said with a loud voice

"It’s all good, you said it was a misunderstanding" Denzel replied as he grabbed Patrick’s hand and stood up

Patrick then pulled closer to Denzel’s ear and whispered...

"This is just for the stage...anybody who comes between I and my mother’s time together will be eliminated by me. So watch your back"

Denzel gulped

’This has turned into a real situation for me now’ Denzel’s thoughts spiraled
