My Space Connects to the Apocalyptic World

As Ding Yao spoke, his voice was filled with the joy of revealing a secret, and the eager anticipation of seeing fear dawn on the faces of those around him.

But there was nothing.

Even knowing how dangerous Li Xingye’s superpower was, those idiots didn’t seem to realize what it truly meant.

Even Li Xingye himself showed no panic at having his greatest secret exposed.

Qiangzi finally couldn’t hold back anymore. "So what if we’re drained dry? My life was given to me by the Boss. It’d be perfectly normal for him to take it back. Besides, if a day ever comes when even the Boss’s superpower goes out of control, it means the world is on the brink of destruction anyway."

"If we’re going to die, we’ll die together. At least we won’t be alone. Not like some dumb dog like you, having weird dreams all day. Don’t delude yourself."

Although Haozi and Cheng Peng didn’t speak, their expressions showed they felt the same way as Qiangzi.

It was Li Xingye, however, who unexpectedly asked, "Since all the futures you’ve seen begin with my death, how would you know my superpower is going to lose control? Or is it that a future where a superpower runs rampant is actually one of *your* possible endings?"

Ding Yao froze, not expecting Li Xingye to be so perceptive.

But there was no reason not to admit it.

"So what if it is? Even if my superpower went out of control, those people giving their power to me would be their contribution to ending the apocalypse. If I don’t drain every last zombie, the apocalypse will never end!"

Hearing this, everyone’s expression turned strange.

Duan Qianyu said, "So, you’re saying your so-called method to end the apocalypse is to just devour everyone, friend and foe alike?"

But Ding Yao saw nothing wrong with it. "It’s better than letting that madman from Dawn Base turn everyone into zombies, isn’t it? Li Xingye, you go on and on about protecting everyone. Now that there’s a way to end the apocalypse, why won’t you try it?"

"Your sequence is unprecedentedly complete! And, whether they’re a zombie or a superpower user, anyone can fully absorb your sequence... and inherit your superpower."

"Li Xingye, what do you think would happen if others found this out? Do you think they’d team up against you to get their hands on the most powerful superpower in this apocalypse? BWAHAHAHA... I told you before, I’m the chosen one! You should just obediently hand over your superpower to me, and then go die!"

As if he had just heard something amusing, Li Xingye let out a low chuckle. "Ding Yao, what is it you really want? To end the apocalypse, or to obtain a superpower that no one can match?"

Ding Yao’s laughter cut off abruptly. He snarled, "Are the two mutually exclusive? Li Xingye, you didn’t die... it has something to do with that woman, doesn’t it? Who is she?"

Li Xingye leaned back in his chair, looking perfectly at ease. "Who knows? Perhaps she’s the fairy who came to choose a new chosen one."

Hearing this, Chi Wan, who had been woken up by the commotion, could no longer hold back a snarky comment. "Is there something wrong with this Ding Yao’s head?"

Li Xingye didn’t try to hide his conversation from Ding Yao, speaking openly. "Sorry, did we wake you?"

Hearing Li Xingye’s words, Ding Yao seemed to realize something and whipped his head around, scanning the area. "Who are you talking to?!"

Li Xingye ignored him. The others, of course, knew he was talking to Chi Wan, so their expressions remained placid.

But Ding Yao was convinced that the "fairy" Li Xingye mentioned was present. He shouted, "Li Xingye’s superpower is ominous! Only someone like me can keep it in check! I don’t know who you are, but if you have to choose a man, I am without a doubt the best choice!"

"I can see everyone’s future! Just show yourself, and you’ll understand my power! The one you should choose is me!"

Chi Wan rolled over and sat up, speechless. "Another one’s lost his mind... What on earth is he trying to do?"

As she said this, a thought struck her. She entered her space and immediately saw the lunatic, bound tightly in vines.

She tried speaking in an annoyed tone. "It’s so noisy."

Ding Yao’s eyes lit up.

He continued to look around reflexively, trying to find Chi Wan’s location. "You... you can turn invisible too? No, what kind of being are you? You heard our conversation just now, didn’t you? Give up on Li Xingye. Sooner or later, he’ll destroy everyone!"

"Whatever your reason for choosing Li Xingye, I promise I’ll do better than him! I’m not like Li Xingye. I’ll never die. Only I can give you everything you want!"

Unexpectedly, a peach pit materialized in mid-air and shot toward Ding Yao’s forehead.

The impact stunned Ding Yao for a moment.

Chi Wan’s slightly mocking voice echoed. "You say you’ll never die? Then how did you end up in Li Xingye’s hands? If you want me to choose you, at least show me what you’re capable of."

"Since I was able to save Li Xingye, I can obviously take care of him just as easily. But you... you don’t seem to be worth a single strand of his hair. Why would I look elsewhere when I have the better option right here?"

As she spoke, she casually moved a tree laden with ripe fruit from her space and placed it before Ding Yao, her voice laced with temptation. "By using Li Xingye’s power, I can bring this apocalyptic world completely under my control. And you? What do you have to offer in exchange?"

Hearing Chi Wan’s deliberately worldly tone, Li Xingye covered the smile playing on his lips, feigning a look of anxious hesitation.

Qiangzi and the others exchanged glances. They hadn’t expected Chi Wan to be so good at backing them up and baiting information out of someone. She was truly on another level.

Sure enough, Ding Yao stared at the plant before him—so utterly out of place in the gray, decaying world—his pupils trembling. He muttered, "I knew it... I knew all those things at Li Xingye’s base came from you!"

"I know the apocalypse’s greatest secret! If you work with me, we can take complete control of this world!"
