I Devoured The Primordial Chaos to Become the Strongest

They surged at each other and weapons woosh through the air at blinding speed.

Clang! Clang! Clang! Ping!

Metal touched metal and armored body slammed into each other as they collided. Here in this group, a woman cut upward with a sword that’s as thin as her arm and the male warrior she’s fighting caught the sword in his metal covered hand and laughed at her.

The woman didn’t seem too bothered as she removed the small shield on her back and then with all the essence in her body she shoved the shield into his head with a loud bang. The male warrior fell without hesitation as he was knocked unconscious.

But because she could enjoy her victory the butt of an axe slammed into her unprotected head with a sharp crack and she followed the male warrior.

Blac shook his head as he watched them. If they are ordinary death then most of them would have been dead already. What set Novice apart from human is that it is the line where an human go from human to inhuman.

They are far stronger than human and can break them with one hand but they can also cultivate essence although they don’t have specific techniques, they can still enhance their physical strengths and if powerful enough as novice then they can send out blast of couple of essence.

Right now what majority of them are doing is strengthening their bodies through essence since they don’t have the essence to do mama blast but Blac saw some using it among them and his eyes quickly find them since they have lots of potential.

He shook his head. The gap between Novice and the other Awakener ranks is so huge there’s been a heated debate if the Novice should be included at all. But the fact is that the largest amount of ’Awakeners’ fall into the novice rank.

"Oh? So the rest of the three ganged up on you?" Blac noticed.

It is the unarmed and right now the rest of his group are facing him with their weapons ready. He raised his two hands and crouched, moving his feet onto the knife position. He gestured at them to come at him and the enrage warriors fall on him with sharp weapons as if to dismantle him.

The unarmed is a blur of metal as he spun forward and plant his right foot into the chest of the leading warrior, throwing him off into another while he quickly faced the third and brought him down with three heavy blows to the head.

The slight disturbance to the other two slowed them down that by the time they righted themselves, the unarmed is already facing them over the body of the fallen.

Still they edged closer to him, slowly at first before they throw themselves at him like a wild dog but it was all for nothing as the man took them down as well.

"So you are the first from your group." Blac said outloud.

The fight continues but it was quickly coming to an end because the gap between those who are actual warriors and not are clearly shown.

Stallus turned to Alex. "Take note of those who are strong so we can distribute them evenly among the three squad."

Before long there are fourteen warriors standing. It should be sixteen but two are too injured to continue.

Stallus nodded with satisfaction. "This time, the fourteen of you will face each other in a group of two. Until there’s seven of you remaining standing. Then we will proceed from there."

They did as they are told and faced each other. This fight is even faster as it’s one on one and before long there’s only seven warriors left standing.

The fight have worn on them and they are breathing hard and sweating into their armor. The sun isn’t helping either and it’s making the metal hot and stuffy.

Azaroth finally turned his attention to the seven that was left standing. "How will you deal with this Stallus?"

Stallus frowned, thinks fast. "Seven warrior eh and we only need three of them. They can’t fight as we want. One odd out."

She raised her voice. "Do any of you want to drop out? You will be rewarded personal by me," then she grinned. "Unless you want to fight me!"

She said the last part as a joke but one of the warriors stepped out and raised his hands. "I!"

She blinked and Alex snickered. "What?"

"I will fight you." It is the unarmed and his voice is calm and steady.

Even Catena stopped munching and looked at him as if he’s mad. Blac narrowed his eyes and muttered. "Now this is surprising."

Azaroth looked at the whole thing without expression, he want the thing done with.

Stallus walked down and towards him. "What is your name, warrior?"

"Fen, Village head." The unarmed said. He removed his helmet and bowed. He looks like he’s in his thirties with blonde hair and sharp blue eyes.

"Fen," Stallus repeated. "Do you know the rule don’t you? You can use any tricks and so can I. We can’t kill each other but really, do you think you can defeat me?"

Fen twisted his shoulder. "It matters not. I’ve not fight with people your age before. I want to see how strong your enchanted tool can make you."

Fen’s eyes shifted towards Azaroth. "I’ve already see how strong he his but the rest of you....."

Stallus laughed, a genuine laughter. This is unexpected, Fen is testing her if she’s worthy. Maybe she should have find if offending but she only shook her head. He’s valid in that he want to know her capacity.

Some of the warriors that have followed them as they fight the previous Villages and those that saw them take down Oakhaven murmured among themselves.

Stallus nodded. "Then you can come at me. I’ll do my best not to hurt you. I can’t kill such a bold warrior after all!"
