I Devoured The Primordial Chaos to Become the Strongest

Azaroth replied coldly. "Why don’t you find out by yourself?" He was still siting on his chair and he looked at them as if he didn’t care about what they are doing in front of him.

Gyus snared and was about to get down from his mount but Litha stopped him with her eyes. She was cautious and that’s only because of the way Azaroth and the others are acting so confident. Maybe they do have powerful enchanted tools. She spoke to Blac next. "Are you going to fight for this village?"

Blac shook his head. "I’m just here to observe, that’s all. Carry on and don’t mind me at all."

Glad that he won’t interfere, she climbed down and her men followed her. Jim and Gyus on each side of her as she walked forward, she pointed at the warriors arranged around Azaroth. "Are those fighting me?" She asked with disbelief.

Azaroth finally stand up and the team surrounded him with Stallus on his right. "They will only get in the way but of your warriors butt in then I’ll have to kill. Or make them target practice for my warriors."

"What! You think you can take them on with this trash you assembled?"

"Do you think we are something special!"

Jim and Gyus who felt like they have the best squad in the tax collectors shouted at him.

Litha’s smile widen, finally she can have fun!

Both warriors from each sides read the air and gave them space. Now there’s Litha, Gyus and Jim facing Azaroth and his team. The air coiled with tension that thicken with each passing seconds.

Azaroth took a step forward and drew his sword. "I sent Kosh a question for you. When I defeat the Tax captain then what will be my gain?"

He lifted his hand and said casually. "I just don’t want a fight where they’ll be nothing for me to gain."

Litha twitched, she couldn’t belive her ears. "You are talking as if you can’t lose. When I kill you, your enchanted tools will be mine."

Azaroth only stared at her without blinking. Litha at first matched him stare to stare but the coldness and harshness from that red eyes made her look away. "If you defeat me then it’ll prove that you are indeed strong. Your standing with improve and it won’t be wrong for you take over the villages near here."

Azaroth chuckled, a twisted sound that sent shivers to all who heard it. "I don’t need your permission to take over any villages. I know what I’ll do then since you really are not of any use. I’ll kill you and send your head to Greytown."

Litha and the others didn’t feel the need to talk anymore. They’ll just kill the little bastard and be done with it!

Stallus turned to Catena. "You have some fun earlier so just stay back. Keep an eye on things, so there’s no tricks from those tax collector warriors."

Catena shrugged and turn to sit on the chair Azaroth was occurring earlier. "Let the entertainment began."

Litha lifted her sword and then with essence covering her legs she was suddenly in front of Azaroth, she chopped down brutally, her weapon wheezing through the air. Azaroth moved back leisurely, letting the weapon pass inches from his face and watched the surprise look on Litha’s face.

She moved back with a casual smile. She had thought to kill Azaroth with surprise but didn’t know his reaction speed would be that fast. She haven’t had this much fun in a long time!

Gyus and Jim also spread out, slowly advancing on the others. They subconsciously gave each other space so their fighting won’t bother others.

Azaroth raised his sword and then he adjusted his power to that of Litha so they are evenly matched, that way he would make sure his fake enchanted tool power is really this level. He straightened and when she came for him this time he was ready to meet her, their sword clashed with a sharp pang.

Azaroth went for a straight thrust and the deflected with a downward chop and twisted her weapon immediately their sword touched to gain advantage by moving closer to him and quickly disengaged, trying to stab him!

Azaroth forged his hand with essence and then caught her sword in his right hand. He thought wildly to himself, ’she’s very good with her sword! If I’m not above her in level then she’d have stab me for sure! This is not like fighting monsters!"

But now she’s in trouble because her move failed and her sword is now in Azaroth hand! He didn’t waste the opportunity and cut down towards her shoulder but just then, he felt coldness and then his sword struck something hard that’s not flesh and stop.

Litha smiled, her eyes flashing blue. Then she used her ability!

From her shoulder where a layer of ice have trapped Azaroth sword, the ice gathered rapidly and then shot out an ice spear that actually touched Azaroth on the neck before he slapped it away. This time it was Azaroth that gave space between them.

The whole thing didn’t take more than two minutes!

Azaroth touched his neck in surprise where a thin line of blood appeared. He couldn’t belive it and he thought, ’Is this the difference between monsters and Awakeners of the same level? Right now Azaroth is using the same Initiate rank power as Litha and she almost killed me! Awakeners can utilize their strength in ways monsters can’t’

Litha whirled her sword, her left shoulder is now a mass of solid block of ice that shoot out like thorns. "You enchanted tool boost you to the level of Initiate rank. Is the tool an Acolyte rank Enchanted tool? If I have that then can I also make it to Acolyte?"

Azaroth thought he was powerful when he was Initiate rank, maybe he had been a little arrogant with that little experience of his. He had been like a shark in a small water. Now it’s time to hunt fellow sharks!
