I Devoured The Primordial Chaos to Become the Strongest

With its generals dead, the queen know its now truly defenseless so it did the only thing it could, it used the workers. The monster swarm up on the wall and they began to climb into each other, a mass of moving black water.

"What are they doing now?’ Catena asked. Just then he groaned and staggered forward as his power left him. His body is suddenly heavy and his eyes less sharp. His body is now clumsy like an awkward teenager.

That was the after effect of borrowing using Earth power, it’ll make you feel less as if the power he borrowed alone is perfection. Catena didn’t mind but what had him hissing was that the pains that was previously suppressed is now flooding back.

But he has another immediately problem. Something is wrong with the way the insects monsters just froze and all looked at him, then suddenly he heard a stretching sound and then they monsters began to swell.

"This can’t be good." Catena said. The last essence he have remaining is for controlling earth so he did the only thing that came to him at the moment. He created a dome of stone above his head and covered. Just seconds after he heard an explosion that shook the ground and rained dust on his head.

"The last defense of the Kaido, the workers will form around the invader and then explode. The queen would be kept safe and if she’s alive then a new colony will rise." Kael said.

"But is she alive?" Stallus asked. "And is Catena okay? That explosion seems to have some heat in it."

"It’s their blood. They heat it up and bam! They explode." Crypt Master said. "Oh look it’s Catena!"

He was unharmed, he checked himself well as he crawled out of his dome because he had no essence left to control it. The floor is covered in yellow blood that hissed and smoked, the cave itself has risen in temperature.

"So you’re not dead." He said to the queen who still stood her place but there wasn’t any workers left to tend her. He walked towards her, picking his way carefully among the bodies. He got his first look at the boss. It’s like a giant worm but with a more hardened black shell.

Catena brought a sword from his ring, one of extra weapons stored in cases of emergency like this. He moved closer and the monster didn’t resist him when he thrust his sword into her head and into her brain.

Blood dripped and splattered on him but Catena wasn’t concerned with that. Instead, he removed the sword and walk around her, studying her body. Once he found where he was looking for he slashed and it was easy cutting of the monster’s belly.

The queen was filled up with nothing but eggs, four times bigger than any chicken’s egg but with a hard black shell. He cracked one with his sword and took a sniff.

Not satisfied, Catena sat and brought out his cooking materials and began to do what he knew how do best after fight, cook!

Outside, the Commander waa baffled and he demande. "What’s he doing again!"

The mechanical voice laughed out loud. "What else? He’s probably used up a lot of energy, let the poor boy eat! Although, I don’t think you can eat that."

Catena thought otherwise as he cooked the egg with its shell while he only slices the top open. Then he added some of the leaf spices the found here and there in the crypts. Once it was to his satisfaction he tasted it and his eyes widen because it tasted just like the eggs of the wild birds they hunt back at home!

And even better, it’s richer and will probably give more nutrients. "Ah! Today is truly my lucky day.....wait, what if I add that?"

He then proceed to cut the monster open and brought out the monster’s heart to smoke on the fire. Then he sliced it up and eat it with another cooked egg. This one was a bit undone so it was like eating meat with some kind of soup.

Catena nodded sharply to himself. "The team will like this. Ah! I’m so full, do I really have to go back?"

He picked himself up and before the left the big cave he collected the hearts of the generals and then the elite warriors too. It was after that he finally went back to the portal and then back to the training Crypt.

He appeared on the ship, naked from the waist up and covered in blood and bits of monsters bodies. But he was grinning. "I’m so full. Both from essence and of body! So bow waa it? Do I pass?"

Stallus and Alex went to him and began to congratulate him, asking questions about his experience. Catena endured it for a while then he yawned and before anyone can object he dropped right there and curled into himself. Fast asleep.

Commander Apex raised his brows and the Crypt shrugged. "Sleep is just as important. And he’s a good sleeper."

Commander Apex turned to Kael. "His performance, tell me."

Kael bowed. "As you wish, sir. The fact that he was able to clear the crypt is enough evidence of his power. His combat abilities might be a bit unrefined but he makes use of what he knows very well. He knows his power and he makes use of it. He displays strategic thinking when fighting. And test out the strength of his opponents before he fully engage."

The commotion smiled, he looked at the boy sleeping and the at the blue orb. If things continue like this then their plans might just go as smoothly as they want. Maybe even more. But maybe he should hold on till he saw the whole teams’ abilities. "We’ll see." Is all he said.

Then he gestured to the crypt Master who in turn, turned to Alex. "Well, it’s your turn."
