Yet, the strangest thing and sensation that accompanied me during this frantic full sprint, and that was... that my breathing remained completely fine, unlabored, and my muscles showed no signs of fatigue.

This lack of exhaustion puzzled me, prompting an inward reflection. Why was my body not getting tired at all?

Sure, it was a well-built body, resembling that of an athlete’s, with muscles honed for endurance.

But the true answer, I realized, lay in the skill I have gotten in real life this morning. One of the reasons I was so late for this, the skill name was, "Perfect Body." This skill makes my physical abilities, enhancing my stamina and overall bodily functions to a very high level from my previous body.

With my thoughts now aside, I focused solely on the task at hand. My feet barely seemed to touch the ground as I made my way through the city streets, running non-stop by an unfathomable energy.

Luckily, I arrived at the location, a minute early from the decided time, of course it was all thanks to my new body and to my skills.

The sight of the karaoke bar’s neon sign brought a wave of relief. I had made it on time, not a moment too late, and even managed to spare a minute.

Standing at the entrance door of the bar, I looked around the place for Eddie, expecting to find him here outside as he said on the phone.

However, a quick look around, and there was no sight of him. "Perhaps they’ve already gone inside," I mused, thinking that maybe they all have already gone inside and now were probably waiting for me.

With that thought, I made my way into the dimly lit interior, the sounds of music and laughter greeting me.

And there he was, just a few steps away from me – Eddie. He stood alone, his gaze looking between the watch on his wrist and the entrance door through which I had just stepped in the bar.

It seemed as if he was waiting for someone, or perhaps something, yet even after seeing me standing in front of him, his expression remained unchanged.

Despite our eyes meeting, there was no recognition, no hint of acknowledgment. It was as if he was looking through me, not recognising me or anything like he didn’t even know me.

As I approached Eddie, his obliviousness to my presence was even more confusing. With a casual stride, I closed the distance between us and greeted him with a friendly "hello!" Only then did he finally turn his attention towards me, his response perplexing and delayed, "...yes?"

This unexpected reaction threw me off. What was going on with him? Was he doing some kind of prank with me or anything? The thought crossed my mind, getting me to see our surroundings for any signs of a hidden camera or a crew ready to capture this scene.

However, a quick look around confirmed that wasn’t the case. The bar continued its usual business, with other patrons entering and leaving, completely uninvolved in our odd exchange.

Confused by his reaction, I pressed on, "What do you mean... yes? I’m here..." I said, while pointing at myself, hoping it would jog his memory or something that he wasn’t even recognising me.

Yet, the gesture of me pointing at myself only seemed to deepen his confusion, as if he was wondering whether I was delusional or a total stranger making an odd joke.

That’s when the thought strucked on me what was happening here. My appearance had undergone a drastic change - my face, body, and even my height were completely different from what they had been just a day before.

No wonder Eddie was acting so confused ; he genuinely had no idea who I was. I had momentarily forgotten that this new body of mine would be unrecognizable to him, despite how clear it was in my mind.

Attempting to clear up the misunderstanding, Eddie suggested, "I think you got the wrong person man, I’m waiting for someone else here, you should probably look somewhere else, if you are looking for someone," Eddie said as he pointed to go somewhere else.

His words just confirmed my part of what I thought previously, "I think you are the one who is mistaken now, I’m that someone else who you are waiting for, I’m Alex." I clarified though not fully clearly, as I mentioned my name to him and pointed at my face again.

"Are you kidding me? You are Alex? No... No, are you seriously kidding me now? Is there a prank here or something or did Alex send you here?" He asked many questions in series with a surprise expression on his face.

"No! I’m Alex. I just have gained some muscle from the last time you met me. And I just used some facial products and they were super effective." I lied thinking maybe he bought this life of mine.

"I think you won’t believe me like this. Do you remember the time you were in toilet and when you were unzipping your pants and you d*ck was stuck in the chain, and I helped you going to the hospital and-" before I could continue he put his hands on my mouth before I could continue more.

This was the only option now, telling him something he asked of me or I helped him with or the things he shared with me.

"I fucking told you not mention this to anyone or to even me." He said fully embarrassed and angry as I reminded him of something he didn’t want to remember. And then he continued, "You really are Alex, huh! Fuck just look at your face and body, how can someone just changed like this in such a short time."
