Heroines, something wrong with them?

Loid felt a cold wind on his face. He crossed his arms, feeling chills. And a little bad about the dead man’s family.

"What happened,’’ Lalica asked him.

"Ah, nothing. Should we go? I’m feeling cold." Loid said; he thought there was no point in bringing this up; it would just ruin their mood, make them feel bad knowing this man had little kids, and now their situation was unknown. Maybe the killer also killed them or took them with him, or they were just waiting for their father to return home.

He and others couldn’t do anything in this situation when they didn’t even know where they lived.

"Who was this?!"

They looked toward the group of four girls walking toward them, awkwardly, their feet digging in the snow.

"You guys know him?" Veronica asked.

Loid was about to shrug casually at Veronica’s question and pretend that he didn’t know. But stopped when the next girl spoke.

"I think I know..’’

The words of the girl with bright amber-yellow eyes surprised him. And everyone.

Everyone looked at Emma.

"He lived in the front building from our house, on the second floor. We saw him and his family many times, even talked with his wife. Right, Emmy?"

Her sister nodded.

Emma looked at everyone, studying their expression; at last, her eyes stopped on Loid.

"Should we go check the little kids? They were really cute. I don’t want anything to happen..." Emma said.

"Sure’’ Veronica agreed first.

" We should go.’’Alice also nodded.

"Ask your mothers,’’ Loid shrugged to them.

"Huh, what can’t we even decide on our own? Why do you think we need to ask our mothers?" Veronica said.

"Well, only they know how to drive."

"Tsk", Veronica clicked her tongue; she couldn’t deny this.

"Achoo!" Loid sneezed.

"Achoo’’ followed by Emma.

"Achoo’’ and Emmy.

" Let’s go in’’ Lalica said.

Everyone agreed and walked toward the train.

Before following them, Lalica used her telekinetic throwing dead body to the side.

After getting back into the train, the girls explained the situation to two mature ladies and, of course, they agreed. No one was here a heartless. (like readers)

Sometimes later, they reached the place Emma told them.

"That was the building’’ Emma pointed through the right window, then she pointed to the other side. ’’ And that’s our house.’’

"Um. Do you guys want to pick up anything from your house?" Amilia asked.

Emma shook her head.

"Alright, um, what door number was his apartment?" Loid asked.

"Second floor, 6, I guess," Emma said.

"I will go check. just wait for me here,’’ Loid said.

"I will come with you," like in her usual style, Lalica was telling, not asking.

" Alright," Loid said, turning to Elizabeth. "Just lock the door and don’t open it until we come back"

He didn’t want some zombie or anyone to attack in their absence. The strongest one here was Lalica, but she wasn’t interested in guarding.

"Of course, sweety."

Loid looked at Elizabeth’s smiling face; a better idea came to him.

" Um, how about I stay here? You go check, " he said to Lalica.

" Nah, " Lalica grabbed his arm and pulled him, ’’ don’t worry; nothing will happen to them in so little time. Also, Veronica had a gun for self-defense.’’

"Really,’’ Loid raised his brows. ’’ i don’t know that.’’

"Yeah, I do," Veronica said, lifting her long skirt, showing him.

A gun in her thigh holster.

Cool,’’ Loid commented.

"You think so.’’ Veronica laughed; she liked this boy whose tastes matched her. It was just that he and her mother were messing around, so they needed to learn a lesson, both of them; she wasn’t biased.

"Alright, let’s go"

"Should I come with you? His wife knows us," Emma said

"Well, that’s a good idea."

Exiting the train, Loid and three ladies entered the building. While walking to the second floor, they saw bodies of headless zombies.

It looked like he did use his sword. Did someone kill him to steal his sword? Loid wasn’t sure, but it was not impossible.

Soon they stood in front of the door, which had scratch marks on it. It was clearly left behind by zombies.

"You ring the doorbell," he said to Emma.

Emma nodded, walked ahead, and pressed the doorbell, they waited a half of mintue before door opened.

"Come inside, Emma..’’ The Lady with a slightly thick body and copper hair tied in a bun opened the door. And stopped in mid-stance, noticing others.

Barbara opened the door after seeing who rang the bell through the peephole. Since other where standing at the side, she was able to see them.

"They were my friends. Aunty, don’t worry, " Emma explained.

"Ahh, come inside. " It’s not safe out’’ Barbara said, giving them way.

Loid and the others looked at each other before walking in.

But now the question is who was going to explain to this lady about her husband’s death, and would she believe them? They should have brought the body. Or maybe not bringing it was a good thing because it was bloodied.

Well had no idea how to probably handle this; he had never encountered a situation like this before.

Stepping into the house, Loid saw three more people. Two little ones that he saw yesterday on the road, and a blonde-haired young woman was sitting with the kids. Her gaze was focused on Loid and the three girls with him.

Gwen was guarded but felt a little relieved after seeing familiar faces; she knew Emma and Emmy, two sisters live in the house just in front of their building.

Barbara locked the door and walked to them.

"I will explain," Lalica said.

"Are you sure?’’ Loid asked

Yeah, leave it to me,’’ Lalica said before facing the lady. "Can we talk alone?"

Barbara was scared when the doorbell rang, and now she was just confused.

Since they were girls, and two of them she knew, she didn’t feel danger. She thought, since Emma and Emmy live alone and got scared, seeing those creatures outside, which she hadn’t seen herself yet,- only heard from Gwen and heared there growl and them scratching their door. It was really terrifying.

But talk alone? Maybe they want to discuss something else...

" Alright, "’’ she said. "Come with me?"

Lalica followed her
