Heroines, something wrong with them?

Chapter 33: He was sure no one could stay saint.

"Mama, where’s Papa going?’’ the little boy asked, tugging her mother’s sweater.

Barbara picked him up in her arms, looking at her husband’s back as he walked out of the house, closing the door behind him.

"Papa was going to bring delicious food for you and your little sister’’ She looked at her cute son and said with a smile.

"Oh, did you tell him to bring chocolates? ’’ The boy asked, giving a serious, cute look.

"Of course I did," Barbara said as she walked to the door and locked it.

"Good," the boy said, nodding in satisfaction.

Barbara walked to the couch, to a blonde-haired girl and her daughter sitting on her lap.

"Gwen, how’re you now?" Barbara asked. Yesterday, her condition wasn’t good; she was too scared, shocked that her body wasn’t stopping from trembling.

"I’m fine now, but Aunty-’’ Gwen looked at her, hesitating. "Were you sure it was fine to let Uncle go out.’’

"I-I tried to stop him... but he said he would be alright," She said in a low voice.

"Um," Gwen nodded. ’’ The internet wasn’t working, and there was no news either. What’s happening,’’ she muttered as tears started rolling down her cheeks.

"I totally lost contact with my family... I don’t know how they were doing, why this is happening, " she said in a breaking voice, stopping to hold back her tears and fear.

"Everything would be fine; they would be safe. Just keep praying to God.’’ Barbara sat next to her and made her son sit on her other side and started rubbing her back.

"Why, sniff!.. Sister crying again’’ her little girl asked as tears welled up in her eyes.

"No, my princess, no one is crying.’’ Barbara took her in her arms before she started crying loudly,

"Yeah..’’ Gwen said, wiping her tears and smiling at her.

"See, she wasn’t crying,’’ Barbara said, rubbing her daughter’s head. "Now tell me what you three want to eat; I would cook.’’

The kids started making demands; she listened to them.

But worry for her husband and aching feelings in her chest didn’t leave her. She kept repeating in her heart that everything would be alright.

Or she didn’t know what would happen to her kids. She shook her head, too scared to even think bad thoughts.

But thoughts were not in her control; they kept coming. The more she tried to stop bad thoughts, the worse they became.

She told him not to go outside; why did he never listen to her...

"Clang!.. "

"Ahh!."

Jack was picking up the food when something hit his head; his vision became blurred before he felt sharp pain.

He immediately turned.

"shhhk!"

"Ahhhhhhhh!!!" He screamed as something sharp and solid went into his eye.

"Thud!"

Something hit his head again.

Lucas first hit him on the head with a heavy glass bottle, then he pierced his left eye with a long pair of scissors.

He thought it would be enough to kill him immediately as he aimed for his brain, but it looked like the wound wasn’t deep enough to kill him.

Anyway, he first did the most important thing. He took the sword and jumped, punched the man on the head at the same spot he attacked earlier.

The guy fell on his knees, then hit the floor unmoving.

"Huh?" He looked down at him.

Dead already!

He was about to attack him with his sword, but it looked like there was no need for that.

But well..., he already learned his lesson.

He took out a sword from the scabbard and stabbed him in the middle of the back. The guy didn’t move at all.

"It looks like I overestimated him," Lucas muttered, resting the sword back in the scabbard.

He wasn’t even able to sense him when he was just behind to attack him. What a careless, unguarded person with poor instincts.

After spitting on him, he took the filled food with him. And he left the store, leaving the dead body on the floor.

Outside, he clenched the golden hilt of the sword.

But he didn’t know how to use this sword; he wasn’t even sure if this sword really possessed an ability or if it was that guy all along.

Anyway, he didn’t throw it. He needed a weapon all along, and this sword looked good.

Also, at least he got to know there were some superpower individuals in this world so it wasn’t totally a waste of effort to kill that man, he just removed a future threat if that man had a way to become stronger and use his powers in an evil, bad way, that would trouble for him, he was sure no one can stay saint after getting taste of power, especially in this law less world.

Maybe that man was already worse, and by killing him he saved many helpless weak individuals that would have become his target in the future.

Still, if this sword had possessed some kind of ability, that would be great.

He swung it a few times.

Now, he hoped Emma and Emmy would be their home, or he would think something happened to them, as this world wasn’t like this regressor’s last life, but it would be a pity if such beautiful girls died just like that.

And Damn, they were twin sisters. Ah, I’m hard; please be at home.

He felt in this life his luck wasn’t that good. Whose face did he see first, after awakening in his life? Himself, this guy whose body he was in, then that guy who killed him, if he doesn’t count fucking ass zombies; only if see his beautiful stepmother first, maybe then his luck would be different.

Jack’s body moved, trembling, crawling on the ground. What happened?! He didn’t know. Why did someone attack him?

His body hurt all over, vision blurry he was barely able to see.

I... can’t die like... this!

He crawled toward the door. Leaving the wide line of blood on the floor.
