Tw: Mention of rape and attempted rape
How could she forget? How could she have ever forgotten? The horrible days she spent in the dungeon and the things she had experienced. And now—
She was trapped. Again.
She could feel his body pressing against her, the smell of sweat and alcohol invading her senses. His hands on her neck.
Her fingers trembled, her body frozen.
She couldn’t fight back... No... No...
Her eyes jerked open.
No. No. No.
Her eyes flew open.
She wasn’t in the dungeon. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
But she wasn’t safe either.
Cameras surrounded her, their red lights blinking in the dark like the eyes of vultures waiting for her to break.
A man was on top of her, grinning.
The sharp scent of sweat and cheap cologne clogged her senses.
No, no, no—
Her entire body locked in terror. Her heart pounded against her ribs like it was trying to escape.
"No—DON’T—!" Not again.
She screeched, thrashing wildly, her nails clawing at whatever she could, trying to escape from his grip.
"Shit," he cursed under his breath. "She’s awake!"
A hand came down, striking her cheek so hard her vision went white.
"Shut up, bitch!"
Amelia gasped as pain seared across her face. Her heart pounded, frantic and desperate.
Someone... anyone...
Kai....Damien.
"Don’t hurt the merchandise, Steve," another voice rang out.
"But the bitch won’t just—" Before he could complete his sentence, she bit down on the bastard’s wrist, hard enough to taste blood. He yelped and cursed, then retaliated with another, harder slap. Her head snapped to the side, her lip splitting open.
—
Kai stood in front of an abandoned warehouse, a smile on his face.
Apparently, this was the place they had taken Amelia.
Fools.
Kai turned to Secretary Wen by his side. "Don’t forget to do what I asked you to."
Wen nodded.
With that, Kai pushed the rusted door of the warehouse open and stepped inside.
His cold gaze swept across the space, his pupils narrowing at the sight before him. Amelia, his Amelia, lay sprawled on a filthy mattress, her clothes torn, her body trembling beneath the weight of the man pressing down on her. Her face was turned away, fresh bruises blooming along her cheekbone. Cameras stood on tripods, their lenses reflecting the weak overhead light.
Something inside Kai snapped.
The man must have sensed it, the shift in the air, the suffocating weight of Kai’s presence. The man turned his head and spat.
"The fuck are you?"
Kai didn’t answer.
His gun was already raised. Then he clicked the trigger.
BANG!
The man screamed as a bullet ripped through his leg, his body jerking violently off Amelia as he collapsed onto the floor, clutching his bleeding wound.
The other men in the room barely had time to process what had happened before Kai turned his gun on them.
BANG! .
BANG! .
One by one, their legs were torn apart by bullets, rendering them completely immobile. They collapsed to the ground, groaning, cursing, but unable to retaliate.
Kai watched with eerie stillness, his gun lowering as he observed the now-crippled men writhing on the floor.
His lips curled into a slow, unsettling smile.
"Ah," he murmured, stepping forward as they flinched. "I do hate insects that don’t know their place."
He looked down at the man still writhing on the floor, the first to be shot. Kai crouched beside him, tilting his head.
"You dared touch what is mine." His voice was eerily calm.
The man whimpered, his hands shaking as he tried to crawl away.
Kai’s lips curled into something that almost resembled a smile.
"Unforgivable."
The man let out a strangled cry as Kai pressed the barrel of the gun against his other leg.
Bang.
The man screamed in pain, snot dripping from his nose as he clutched his bleeding legs.
Kai straightened, tucking his gun away. He stepped over the whimpering bodies without sparing them another glance and finally turned to Amelia.
She lay still, her chest rising and falling weakly. Her eyelashes fluttered, barely clinging to consciousness.
For the first time that night, Kai’s expression softened.
"Amelia," he murmured.
Her lips parted slightly, and though her voice was barely a whisper, he heard it.
Kai... he came for me.
And then, she fainted.
Kai straightened, his gaze shifting back to the injured men. The tenderness in his eyes vanished, replaced by something much darker.
A quiet chuckle escaped his lips.
They would regret breathing the same air as her.
They would regret ever laying their filthy hands on her.
He would make sure of it.
—
When Amelia woke up once more, everything felt heavy. Her body ached, her skin burned, and the stench of something foul filled her nose.
It was irritating and churned her stomach violently.
She looked around and saw no one around her, only the blood that had been splattered on the floor.
She could swear that she had seen Kai, that he had come to save her. So where was he?
With weak, trembling limbs, she pushed herself up, dragging her body toward the open warehouse door.
And then she saw it.
They were burning.
The men tied to stakes, their bodies engulfed in flames, their screams filling the night air like a twisted symphony of agony.
And in front of it all was Kai.
He stood with his hands in his pockets, shoulders relaxed, his face bathed in the warm glow of the fire.
Watching.
Like an artist admiring his masterpiece.
The flames danced in his eyes, reflecting the madness curling at the edges of his smirk. His expression was one of pure satisfaction, ecstasy, as if this was nothing more than a form of entertainment.
Amelia’s stomach lurched.
She doubled over, vomiting onto the cold ground.
Even as she wiped her mouth, her body trembled violently.
This was... this was...
Her vision swayed.
Kai turned to her then, his expression shifting into something softer.
"Amelia," he murmured, taking a step toward her.
Her lips parted, but nothing came out.
The scent of burning flesh, the screams, everything blurred as the world tilted sideways.
She faintly heard Kai chuckle. "Ah, poor thing. She must be overwhelmed."
And then, darkness.
