Not knowing where to go, or even where she *could* go, Chaochao followed along.

After an unknown amount of time, the vast, black landscape around her began to change.

Chaochao was just walking along when she suddenly found herself on a... street?

Ever since she learned she was dead, she hadn’t seen anything resembling a street.

She had just been walking on and on through a vast, dark expanse, with no end and no destination.

To suddenly appear here now surprised her.

As she stood there in surprise, a familiar voice echoed in her ears, "Chaochao, can you hear Mommy’s voice?"

"My Chaochao, can you see Mommy?"

"Chaochao, Mommy is here waiting for you."

’It’s Mommy!’

Chaochao quickened her pace and started down the street.

But the little creature that had been guiding her vanished the moment the street appeared.

But Chaochao had no time to think about anything else. Her mother was waiting for her. She had to see her one last time, to tell her to live a good life, to keep on living.

And what appeared on the livestream camera was this little girl, who had come from nowhere, suddenly running down the street.

She wasn’t even wearing shoes, her face alight with excitement as she ran forward without a hint of hesitation.

Little White was about to speak, but unsure if the mysterious livestream was still active, it kept its mouth shut. Instead, it just pointed a finger at Chaochao’s mother.

Qin Hanyun didn’t understand.

Little White leaped directly onto Chaochao’s mother’s shoulder and gave it a firm pat with its small paw!

A voice echoed in Chaochao’s mother’s mind: ’Chaochao is coming.’

Chaochao’s mother looked up at Little White, her eyes filled with gratitude.

She took a moment to fix her hair, smooth out her clothes, and tug at the corners of her mouth, trying to soften her stiff expression into a gentle smile.

Little White hopped down from her shoulder and stood to one side.

Still confused, Qin Hanyun leaned in and asked again, "Where’s Doctor Wen?"

[See! See! They know Doctor Wen! All those people saying they were up to no good on a ’dark and stormy night’ must feel pretty stupid now!]
