"I feel so relaxed. It’s like someone lifted the burden from my heart, finally relieving me" Karl and Gwen were leaning against his car as they held their hands and kept talking.

Gwen smiled watching him so carefree that he couldn’t stop smiling." See it wasn’t that easy, you just kept getting afraid for nothing" she said and turned around to face him.

Karl nodded his head agreeing with her. He complicated things between them for nothing. But now that everything was sorted he couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed.

Suddenly his eyes fell on Gwen’s lips and he felt the urge to kiss her. It had been days since he didn’t taste those luscious lips of hers. Now that they were all alone, there wouldn’t be anyone to disturb them.

Quickly snaking his arm around her waist Karl pulled her closer taking her by surprise.

Gwen on the other hand was caught off guard by Karl’s quick reflex, so she lost balance and fell on him.

"Karl..." she called him and looked up only to meet his intense gaze. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

Gwen gulped at the sight of his sudden dominance that she couldn’t say another word.

"I want to kiss you Gwen" she heard him say.

Karl was aiming for a nod from her because now that they were together he couldn’t stop himself from kissing her endlessly. These few days of being away from her had made him go nuts and he even ended up getting drunk.

’Drunk’ suddenly this word made him recall his last night’s action.

Just when he was about to react Gwen captured his lips knowing his senses and he forgot what he was thinking the next moment.

Closing his eyes he deepened the kiss as the couple forgot everything things around them.

The next morning Tristan and Ashley went to the hospital. Tristan wanted to be sure that her wound was completely healed so she would resume her work.

Taylor examined her wound and it was healed but still, the scar she received due to the gunshot will take some time to erase the mark.

"Are you sure, she is fine?" Tristan asked confirming his doubts.

Glaring at Tristan through his specs, Taylor said," Who is the doctor here, you or me" his words made Ashley burst into laughter but she stopped herself as she didn’t want to embarrass Tristan.

"I know who is the doctor here but as her husband, I need to know her health" Tristan was also not going to dominate him.

Taylor was his father’s best friend and this hospital’s owner. Knowing each other for so long Tristan knew Taylor didn’t like anyone to judge his profession.

He was the best doctor in country Z and had many hospitals all over the world. In other words, he was just as wealthiest as the Knights.

"You weren’t like this when it came to your health Tristan Knight. Do you want me to run a test on you? I haven’t done it in a long time" Taylor smirked looking at Tristan and watching him widen his eyes.

The overbearing expression on Tristan’s face turned into the scary one and he gasped opening his mouth to speak but shut when he heard Ashley.

"Good idea. Tristan, I think doctor Taylor is right. Weren’t you sneezing the day before yesterday" Ashley said?

Tristan felt like crying. He was sneezing because he had taken a cold shower thrice that night, leading him to sneeze for the entire day. He was aroused by just watching her nipples through the nightgown that he felt his member down throbbing for attention.

If she wasn’t asleep, he would have been sucking those nipples until they turn sore.

"No, I am fine and I don’t need a check-up" Tristan rejected, gawking at Taylor, who smirked back at him.

Taylor was trying to get back to him through his secret but he wasn’t going to let that happen.

Getting up from his chair Tristan held Ashley’s wrist," Since my wife had recovered, there is no need for us to waste our time here" he said and turn around to leave when Taylor stopped them.

"Are you sure you don’t want to get a check-up? I will be gentle while injecting the syringe" Taylor was hard not to laugh but the man just stormed out without turning back.

Ashley tried so hard not to laugh as they walked through the hallway. Tristan dragged her fearing that if they stood there one more second Taylor would spill Tristan’s every secret.

Getting in the car Ashley pursed her lips as she looked at Tristan who was fuming. He didn’t dare to turn to look at her and asked the driver to take them back home.

Tristan didn’t think Taylor would get back to him this way. He just exposes his secret in front of his wife. All these years only his parents and Taylor knew that he was scared of needles.

There wasn’t any specific reason for him to get scared of them, but he didn’t like it whenever Taylor would inject it into them.

Busy cursing the man in his mind Tristan forgot the person next to him who suddenly burst into laughter," Pff hahaha...."

Tristan now felt like crying. Taylor just ruined his image in front of his wife by telling his long-hidden secret.

’ I will get back to you Uncle... Taylor’ folding his hand over his chest Tristan fixed it in his mind.

Ashley laughed until her eyes welled up and she looked at Tristan who didn’t look at her and just kept sitting like an angry kid. Suppressing her amusement Ashley poked Tristan’s arm.

"Look at me," she said now completely stopping her laugh.

Tristan jerked away and turn his head to look out from the window. He was angry, she could tell.

Tristan just kept his eyes outside the window when suddenly Ashley sat on his lap taking him by surprise.

"Ash w-what are you doing?" he asked with a frown appearing on his forehead.

"Soothing my husband’s anger," she said bringing her index finger to his temple as she slowly traced it down to his jawline.

"I-I am not angry with you" Tristan stuttered when he felt her tracing his lips.

Ashley was purposely teasing him. She knew he wasn’t upset with her but with the news that was exposed to her. But the way he ignored her, she didn’t like it at all.

"Then why aren’t you looking at me," Ashley asked with her seducing voice.

Tristan gulped when she moved her finger under his chin and pulled him slowly close to her face.

"I-I..." Tristan gasped like a fish when his mouth got sealed and he slowly closed his eyes.

Ashley kissed him without letting him finish his words. She wanted to divert his mind so his anger would subside and to her surprise it did.

Tristan slowly started kissing her back as he circled his arm around her and deepened the kiss.

It wasn’t too long before they both ran out of breath and pulled back.

"You surely know how to calm me, wifey" he smiled brushing his thumb on her cheeks.

Ashley blushed at his remark. She would suddenly get bold with her actions whenever she would find him upset. He had the power to make her act out of her character.

Tristan liked it when she would suddenly act bold and then feel embarrassed of her action.

"Yes, I am scared of needles. I don’t know why but I don’t like them" he finally confess and saw her pursed lips.

He knew she was again going to laugh at him but was stopping herself.

Ashley just smiled recalling Tristan’s face when Taylor asked him if he would be gentle when he inject a syringe into him. he didn’t expect Taylor would spill his secret but she was glad to know it.

Finally, there was something her husband was scared of.

Ashley couldn’t stop herself from squeezing his cheeks. He looked so adorable that she found him cute all the time.

Soon their car reached the mansion and Ashley had to step down from her lap. Tristan had to go to work so he dropped Ashley home and soon left for the company.

Ashley stepped inside the house thinking about the moment they share in the car and then her eyes darted to her arm. Her wound was healed and now she could even move her hand.

A smile appeared on her lips remembering the promise she made to Tristan and suddenly felt her heart race. After so many days they were finally going to get indulge in action and she couldn’t wait to satisfy her husband.

"What’s with that smile Ashley?" Grace who was sitting in the main hall noticed Ashley returning home. She knew they went to the hospital for the final check-up and with the bandage removed from her hand Grace could tell that she was all good.

She called her but Ashley kept walking absentmindedly with a smile lingering on her face. She could tell it was related to her son as he was the one to drop her home.
