[Commander Erdogan POV]
The main bridge turned into a blazing inferno of shattered glass and screaming metal.
The kinetic force of the nuclear plasma slammed into our flagship with the weight of a dying moon. The artificial gravity generators flickered and died instantly. I was thrown violently across the room, my heavy combat armor crashing against the main tactical console.
Blood poured down my forehead, blinding my left eye, but the physical pain was entirely eclipsed by the suffocating disbelief clawing at my throat.
How did a boy from the slums acquire a Titan Class warship? How did his Ghost Ship completely bypass our Omega Level scanners?
"Damage report! Give it to me now!" I roared, pulling myself up by the twisted metal of my desk.
My first lieutenant crawled toward his damaged station, his face completely pale and his hands shaking uncontrollably.
"Commander, the right flank is entirely gone! Five Giant Class dreadnoughts wiped from existence! Our primary shields are shattered, and we have sustained 30% structural damage to the mainframe. We are bleeding atmosphere in the lower decks!"
"Oh God! That’s horrible! We all will die like this"
Panic threatened to consume the bridge. Operators were screaming, and the earshattering groan of our melting armor plates echoed through the walls.
But I did not become the Commander of the 17th Fleet by cowering in the face of death. I had conquered dozens of enemy Fleets and crushed countless planetary invasios.
Bang!
My veteran instincts completely overriding my shock.
I forcefully slammed my armored fist onto the console, then commanded,
"Lieutenants, reroute all auxiliary power to the thrusters! Evade their firing angle immediately! If we stay in open orbit, that Ghost Ship will vaporize us. We are taking this fight to the surface!"
My lieutenants stared at me in confusion.
"The surface, sir?"
"Yes. What are you dawdling for? Deploy the orbital drop pods at this instance! All of them!" I bellowed, pointing my bloodied finger toward the blue planet below.
"Send the entire Mech Infantry as well! All the 30,000! I want them on the ground right now! Secure that palace, capture his family, and slaughter anyone who stands in the way! Once we hold his bloodline hostage, that boy will have no choice but to power down his ship and surrender his Dominator Core!"
"Yes, Commander! Deploying the ground forces!"
Within seconds, the underbelly of our burning Titan Class flagship opened wide. Tens of thousands of heavily armored drop pods shot down into the atmosphere of Planet Zenith like a torrential rain of blazing meteors.
I watched through the cracked viewport, a smile returning to my bloody face. Let him have his fancy warship. On the ground, the Federation Mech Infantry was an unstoppable force of nature.
---
Down on the surface of Planet Zenith, the sky burned a brilliant, terrifying orange.
The heavy Federation drop pods slammed into the emerald plains just a few miles from the towering white marble of the newly constructed Imperial Palace.
Their massive metal doors hissed open, and all 30,000 of elite Federation soldiers marched out. They were clad in towering mechanical suits, holding heavy plasma rifles capable of melting through solid boulders.
They formed up in perfect tactical formations, their weapons raised. They fully expected to trample over a disorganized mob of primitive alien wildlife and a few pathetic palace guards.
But as the heavy dust and smoke from their landing finally cleared, the Federation soldiers froze in their tracks.
"Fuck! We are dead!"
Standing between them and the Imperial Palace was an absolute ocean of warriors.
It was not a frightened militia. It was a perfectly disciplined, heavily armored military legion stretching as far as the eye could see.
Bearing the crest of a white dragon, about 100,000 soldiers stood in completely discipline rows.
Their weapons drawn and their eyes fuxated onto the invaders.
But the numbers were not what made the elite Federation soldiers take a trembling step backward.
It was the terrifying energy radiating from the Zenith army.
Every single one of those 100,000 soldiers, from massive giants to small insectoid warriors, was glowing with a dense, suffocating aura of cosmic energy.
They were undeniably Beyonders, every one of them.
But how was this possible?
One captain revealed his head from the cockpit in sheer disbelief.
"This is impossible. Our readings are going crazy. They are not mortals. Commander, they are not mortals! Every single one of them... they are all Awakened Beyonders!"
Hearing that, Erdogan was on the brink of having a stroke.
It was widely known how rare a Beyonder was in the universe. Only one in a million gains the chance to prove themselves.
And yet, this young Dominator had 100,000.
It was simply impossible to believe.
If others heard this, they would call Erdogan a mad fool. But the reality was right before his eyes.
100,000 Beyonders... enough to shake the sky and seas...
Just who made this possible?
As if to answer his question, a figure drifted into space like an unfettered bird and stood before the viewport glass.
Neo Godson.
He was more handsome than in the pictures.
But more than that, he was dangerous.
Neo spoke as if stating a decree,
"Erdogan, have you learned what kind of mistake you made by targeting me? I would have spared you, maybe even offered you a position in my ranks, if only your intention had not been to target my family.
All is fair in war and love, but that doesn’t apply to me. You will perish, Erdogan!"
With a single, effortless motion, Neo hurled the weapon forward at blinding speed.
CRASH!
The Adamantite spear completely obliterated the Dreadnought’s multi-layered, blast-proof glass shield.
Before Erdogan could even raise his arms to defend himself, the golden spear crossed the room.
With a sickening, wet crunch, the weapon pierced directly through the center of Commander Erdogan’s heavy battle helmet and buried itself deep into his skull, pinning him violently to the metal bulkhead behind him.
The veteran commander’s body went completely rigid for a second before his arms dropped limply to his sides.
All of his grand ambition, his towering pride, and his lifelong duty to the Federation ended right there in the cold silent depths of space.
