- Chapter 1: Beyonder Neo Godson
In a distant, cold galaxy, the figure of a goddess-like woman with snowy white hair sat upon a grand throne.
Her beautiful face, carved straight from the heavens, twisted into a deep frown.
It was all because of the news just delivered by her female advisor.
"It is true, Empress. That little Dominator named Neo Godson, whom you wanted to keep track of, has been successfully driven out of his own home planet. But there is a catch. You predicted that his family would die, but they did not. They were perfectly saved by him. The future did not unfold quite as you foresaw."
After hearing this, Myria slumped back against her throne. Her frosty gaze turned toward the open ceiling, where countless stars seemed to gather in the vast void.
"So he really managed to change the future..." Myria whispered to herself. "Does that not mean he will avoid becoming a tyrant? He will not swallow the universe into the abyss... Does that mean we do not have to be enemies anymore...?"
She suddenly shook her head, violently banishing the soft thoughts.
"No. This Empress cannot think like that. I promised my father that I would be the absolute best. I shall build the strongest Empire. I shall defeat every Dominator in my path, even if it is Neo Godson. I will kill him. The universe will be mine."
Her cold voice echoed through the grand hall with absolute conviction.
Still, a hidden fear lingered deep within her heart that she was doing everything completely wrong. She was secretly terrified that she was simply becoming an emotionless conqueror, just like Neo Godson had been in that original, bloody timeline.
Back on Planet Zenith, the colossal Imperial Palace was nearly complete.
Standing on a high balcony overlooking the construction site, Neo held a brief war council with his three Commanders: Vaelar, Aeliana and Nyxaris.
Neo addressed them and said,
"Commanders, We have the territory and the resources. But our military numbers are severely lacking. I want a recruitment banner broadcasted across the entire neighboring Gardion Solar Sector."
The Warrior Elf Commander, Vaelar crossed his arms, looking at the glowing holographic starchart projected onto the table.
"What are our requirements, your majesty? Minimum Type 7? Class B combat magic? Or do you only want experienced mercenaries?"
Neo replied with shake of his head,
"None of the above, Vaelar. You can recruit anyone. I do not care about their species. I do not care if they have zero magical power. In fact, prioritize the recruitment of ordinary mortals. Offer them fair wages and a safe place to live."
Nyxaris, the Dark Mage mage, nearly dropped her twin daggers in shock.
"Mortals? Emperor, are you serious? Ordinary people will just be cannon fodder in a galactic war!"
Neo flashed a mysterious smile.
"Just follow my orders, Nyxa. I know exactly what I am doing."
Within hours, Neo’s massive holographic recruitment banners were playing on every major space station and tavern screen across the Gardion Solar Sector.
Inside a smoky, crowded mercenary cantina on Gardion Prime, a group of heavily scarred Type-7 Beyonders stared at the glowing advertisement in absolute disbelief.
"Haha, Is this a joke?" a massive, four-armed alien grunted, slamming his heavy metal mug onto the table.
"This so-called Dominator is actively seeking out non-magic mortals to join his imperial army!"
The cyborg sniper sitting next to him burst into loud, mocking laughter.
"Muwahaha, Who recruits normal humans these days? They die if the gravity is slightly off! This Neo Godson must be completely broke if he is looking for cheap labor. He is certainly no real Dominator."
"Keke, let the idiot build his army of weaklings. When a Dominator attacks, his empire of mortals will crumble in exactly five minutes."
They mocked his decree, completely unaware of the terrifying trump card Neo currently held in his hands.
Deep within the most secure laboratory of the newly built palace wing, Neo stood before a glowing, high-tech synthesis cauldron.
[Synthesis Successful]
[Item Created: Perfect Beyonder Awakening Potion]
[Purity: 100%]
[Failure Rate: 0%]
Neo reached out and picked up the crystal vial.
The golden liquid inside shimmered with boundless cosmic energy.
Noir glided out from the shadows of the room, her abyssal eyes locked onto the glowing vial.
"Darling, is that what I think it is?"
"Yes... Beyonder awakening potion... In the past, the standard Awakening Potion had a terrible 40% chance of catastrophic failure. It killed the drinker more often than it empowered them. But after countless rounds of experiment, I have completely removed the flaws. It now boasts a 200% success rate."
Hearing him, Noir’s eyes shined. "You can do anything, isn’t it, darling?"
Once she tried seducing him by showing her ample cleavage and parting her luscious red lips.
But he just turned to look out the reinforced window toward the stars, as if he hadn’t noticed those jugs at all.
He had a crazed look on his face.
And why not?
His master plan was finally coming together perfectly.
"Those arrogant mercenaries demand thousands of credits just to lift a sword. But I will recruit desperate, low-power mortals at a mere fraction of the cost. They will come here looking for a simple paycheck, and I will gift them the power of the gods. I will build an unstoppable army of fully awakened Beyonders, and their absolute loyalty will belong only to me."
The effect of the recruitment campaign was rapid and absolutely instantaneous.
Across the impoverished outer rims of the Gardion Solar Sector, massive lines formed outside the designated spaceports. Thousands of ordinary, non-magical people gathered under the blazing artificial lights, eagerly filling out registration forms and waiting for the colossal Zenith Empire cargo ships to pick them up.
In one of the dusty queues, a massive but severely malnourished Giant named Hoge nervously clutched his digital application. His ribs showed prominently through his torn rags.
Beside him stood Zik, a small four-armed Ant Person whose exoskeleton was chipped and dull from years of brutal factory labor.
Zik clicked his mandibles anxiously,
"Do you really think the promises are true Hoge? I have not eaten a real fresh meal in over three months. The corporate bosses said my species was completely obsolete."
Hoge looked up at the massive black cargo ship descending from the sky, bearing the Flying White Dragon crest.
"I do not care if it is a trap, Zik. We are already on the brink of starving to death in these slums. The Gardions treats us like literal garbage. But this Dominator... he is offering actual credits, a safe bed, and three meals a day. I would gladly scrub the floors of his palace just to feel full again."
They had entirely lost their sense of self-worth. So, when a stellar powerhouse finally offered to value their lives and provide good food, why would they ever refuse?
The numbers in Neo’s desk was astounding.
Just within 24 hours, they had already accumulated over 100,000 applications.
With this number, he could easy dominate a low tier planet with ease. But it was just the beginning.
