Max didn’t know what just happened, and the Blackthorn family sent nine more bloodline awakeners. They were just running for their lives as the master archer seemed to not let them go.

The archer riding his beast, a wolf, continued to follow them even when they left the city.

"Quick, the mountains are just ahead; that archer wouldn’t be able to follow us." Andrew said with panting as he seemed to started to get tired.

It wasn’t as simple as just fighting Baldric with their strength. Baldric wasn’t weak, and it took their best to hold him, not to mention their berserk bloodline, an explosive bloodline with low stamina.

Max looked at the two brothers and started to understand the advantages of his S-rank Blood Dragon bloodline.

"Yes, but that’s the end here," Andrew said as they finally entered the mountains. The landscape changed, as there were towering trees and tricky, uneven lands difficult to navigate or even follow.

With this kind of environment, it was impossible for the archer to attack and easy for them to disappear. But the beast wolf can still find them following their scent.

Andrew suddenly reached into his pack and pulled out several strange herbs.

"Crush these."

He handed some to Max.

"Then smear the paste all over your body."

They steadily moved through the forest. Although they got rid of the archer from the Blackthorn family, the Myriad Beast Mountain Range was equally dangerous.

They needed to be careful not to enter the territory of some powerful beasts. While they were slowly moving forward, Max finally found an opportunity to ask something that had been bothering him.

"Brother Andrew, can you tell me about the outside world and what I need to be careful of?" He asked, looking at Andrew, as he seemed to be quite experienced and knowledgeable among the brothers. And more importantly, Mathew doesn’t seem to like to talk.
