At the waterslide, after Fatty An had left, Li Qian took the elevator to the top and saw the various riots breaking out in Lingshui City.

And so, he immediately got to work, using his Spiritual Power to begin activating the Frostfire Array.

Li Qian was well aware that the Energy Jade Talismans engraved with the Array Patterns had a limited number of uses.

Once that limit was exceeded, the Energy Jade Talismans would sustain damage, and the Array would either lose its effect or be weakened.

He had yet to determine the exact number, but based on his estimates, it should be more than ten.

That was enough to support the evolution of the ten remaining Koi Carp.

With a determined gaze, Li Qian acted without hesitation. The Frostfire Array was instantly triggered, and it began to radiate two completely different kinds of light.

The two disparate lights began to converge on the central Array Hub, eventually merging into a new kind of light that slowly seeped into the Koi Carp’s body.

He was quite confident about this particular Koi Carp.

Having overcome the first evolutionary surge and broken the first of its life’s shackles, the Koi Carp felt exhausted, but what filled its heart was more excitement and joy than fatigue.

It could feel itself becoming tangibly stronger.

If, before, the saying ’Fish Leaping the Dragon Gate’ was just a beautiful but unattainable dream, like a flower in a mirror or the moon reflected in water... at this moment, it could genuinely feel the existence of the Dragon Gate.

But to leap over the Dragon Gate, it still needed to overcome two more hurdles.

After the blood-red Light of Evolution ignited, he could clearly perceive the Koi Carp’s body twisting more violently, the pain it endured obviously more intense.

Li Qian watched silently, helpless to aid the struggling Koi Carp. At a time like this, everything depended on its own willpower.

Although he was confident in the Koi Carp’s resilience, it was impossible not to worry now that the evolution had reached this stage.

Just as Li Qian was watching with rapt attention, he felt that the time was right. In that exact instant, the blood-red Light of Evolution suddenly erupted, forming a crimson pillar of light a hundred meters tall.

Seeing this, Li Qian let out a long breath. The Koi Carp he had sent first had finally evolved successfully.

The full phrase—"Heaven and Earth, Profound and Yellow, Universe and Primordial Chaos"—was eight words long. Li Qian hoped that he would have at least eight successful evolutions this time, which would fill up all eight name slots.
